Utopian System

Chapter 488: System's Level 35

"Time for the next elements!" Dionz announced with his usual enthusiasm. "And these are particularly interesting. First up..."

Gallium, the Parasitic Wasp of Adaptation:

Resistance: 310

Defense: 31

Magic Damage: 31

Master of infiltration and transformation, its control over this malleable metal grants power over structural change and adaptation. It can penetrate defenses and alter their properties from within. Its presence enables strategic weakening of enemy fortifications and enhances infiltration capabilities.

"The parasitic wasp represents gallium's ability to penetrate and transform from within," Dionz explained. "Just as the wasp injects its eggs into a host, gallium can infiltrate and change other materials. Though explaining parasitic reproduction cycles might be a bit much right now..."

Germanium, the Bat of Waves:

Resistance: 320

Defense: 32

Magic Damage: 32

Lord of wave manipulation and detection, its mastery over this crystalline element enables control over energy waves and frequencies. It can detect invisible patterns and manipulate energy flows. Its presence enhances sensory capabilities and improves energy conductivity.

"Bats use waves to 'see' their world," Dionz continued excitedly. "Just like germanium's ability to interact with various forms of energy! Though I suppose I should explain sound waves first... no, staying focused!"

Arsenic, the Viper of Duality:

Resistance: 330

Defense: 33

Magic Damage: 33

Master of lethal grace and transmutation, its control over this deadly element grants power over life and death energies. It can create zones of toxic influence and manipulate vital forces. Its presence enhances destructive capabilities while offering protective transformations.

"The viper perfectly represents arsenic's dual nature," Dionz noted. "Both deadly and medicinal, just like... oh, right, you don't need medicine since you have the system… What an utopia… Moving on!"

Selenium, the Moth of Light:

Resistance: 340

Defense: 34

Magic Damage: 34

Lord of photonic mastery and swift reaction, its command over this photoactive element enables control over light and speed. It can manipulate luminous energy and enhance reaction times. Its presence accelerates movement and improves light-based abilities.

"Moths have this fascinating relationship with light," Dionz began enthusiastically, "much like selenium's photoelectric properties... though explaining photoconductivity without basic physics might be challenging..."

Bromine, the Bombardier Beetle of Vapor:

Resistance: 350

Defense: 35

Magic Damage: 35

Master of caustic mists and reactive sprays, its control over this volatile halogen allows generation of powerful vapors and corrosive clouds. It can create zones of caustic fog and manipulate reactive atmospheres. Its presence enhances area control and improves chemical reaction potency.

"The bombardier beetle is perfect for bromine!" Dionz exclaimed. "It can create defensive sprays through chemical reactions, just like... oh, you probably don't want another chemistry lesson, do you?"

Elio studied the projections Dionz had created for each element. "The resistance values keep increasing but feel weak now..."

"Of course! We're getting end game equipment before the end game so... But the important thing is they are stronger together, so be careful!"

The god created a complex diagram showing new potential combinations.

"This is what we care about… Imagine combining the parasitic wasp's infiltration with my personal favorite is the bombardier beetle's reactive capabilities - the chemical processes involved are simply fascinating! Not that you need to know the exact molecular interactions to..."

"Dionz," Elio interrupted what was clearly about to become another enthusiastic chemistry lecture.

"Right, right! The point is, these elements offer new possibilities for combination. The parasitic wasp's adaptive abilities, the bat's sensory mastery, the viper's transformative power, the moth's swift reactions, and the beetle's chemical control - each brings unique strengths to potential fusions!"

He created more holograms showing the elements in action. "And just wait until you see how they interact with your previous combinations! The way gallium's infiltration enhances zinc's reactivity, or how selenium's speed amplifies sulfur's corrosion... though explaining the electron interactions might be a bit..."

"The challenges?" Elio prompted, preventing another tangent.

"Oh yes! Each one will test mastery of these properties. The parasitic wasp's challenge focuses on strategic infiltration, the bat's on energy manipulation, the viper's on balancing destructive and protective forces, the moth's on speed and reaction, and the beetle's on area control."

Dionz's enthusiasm was barely contained as he continued, "The combinations possible with these elements... well, once you understand how electron shells interact with... no, no, staying focused!"

The holograms shifted to show potential applications. "Each one builds on what you've learned while introducing new concepts. Though I suppose explaining molecular orbital theory would be getting ahead of ourselves..."

Elio examined each projection carefully, already seeing how these new elements could enhance his existing combinations. The increasing resistance values suggested greater challenges ahead, but also greater potential for power.

"Just remember," Dionz added with a knowing smile, "these elements, like all the others, are more complex than they first appear. Their true potential emerges when you understand how they... actually, maybe we should save the lecture on chemical bonding for another time!"

The god's excitement about these elements was clear, even as he struggled not to launch into detailed scientific explanations that would mean little to someone from Elio's world since they worked differently with mana. Each new element represented not just increased power, but new possibilities for combination and strategy.

The challenges ahead would test mastery of these unique properties, pushing the boundaries of what was possible with elemental combination. But first, they had to be conquered, one by one, each bringing its own trials and revelations.

'Your divine dignity is slipping again,' Zara commented as Nala checked the progress for what felt like the hundredth time.

'I am maintaining appropriate observation protocols.'

'Is that what we're calling impatience now?'

Their shared consciousness rippled with what might have been Nala's amusement. After so much time together, maintaining her aloof persona was becoming increasingly difficult.

'Divine beings do not experience impatience.'

'Says the goddess who keeps hoping the percentage will magically jump higher.'

'I am merely ensuring system efficiency.'

'By staring at it? How's that working out for you?'

'The progress is... adequate,' Nala stated, though they both felt her frustration at the slow advance.

'You were going to say "boring" but caught yourself.'

The comfortable banter continued until Nala made what she thought was an innocent observation. 'You handle everything with such levity. Even being trapped here, separated from your life, from Elio...'

The mood in their shared consciousness shifted instantly.

'Don't,' Zara's presence suddenly turned cold. 'Don't talk about him like you understand.'
