"YOU DARE TALK TO THE PRINCESS THAT WAY?!" The old man shouted as a powerful pressure gushed out of him, however, he maintained it to the level at which a Nascent soul realm cultivator would be brought to his knees.

However, soon his eyes widened in disbelief upon noticing that Ashen didn't seem to be affected by this pressure.

Ashen fixed his gaze at the old man as his gaze became threatening and his voice grew cold: "You old coot, you are rather daring. Not only you disrespected a prince in his maternal clan, but now you even dare to attack me?"

Then, an amused smile crept up upon his lips: "Despite the Dragon Emperor's presence, you dared to harm his grandson, I'd like to see how you'll leave this place with your life intact. I will see you in the trial courtroom!"

Saying that Ashen turned around to leave with the man who had accompanied him. He was the live witness of everything that had occurred and he was essential to prove everything that had occurred.

As soon as Ashen took the first step to leave, the old man's laughter came from behind: "Hahaha, you fool! Do you think anyone cares about you, a 1-star spirit cripple? Go and try to complain, I doubt they'd make an enemy out of our clan just for you!"

Ashen simply smiled as he continued to leave, bringing the man closer to protect him if they decided to attack him to get rid of the only witness.

However, contrary to his expectations, they didn't take any action to stop him.

Soon he was out of the mansion, meanwhile, inside the old man mocked him: "Hahaha, Princess Lianhua, did you see his expression when he threatened me? If I didn't know that this was the same Ashen who was your plaything, I'd have seriously been afraid!"

The old man nodded in agreement: "It must be that. Don't you think his mother had been in the Shang Clan for a few months now? She must have come to beg for this treasure for her son, hahaha"

"Maybe it was because of this treasure that he was unaffected by your pressure," The princess guessed.

"Hmm, It seems likely!" The old man commented. "It'll be fun to see him make a fool out of himself in the court!"

"It seems he thought he could leave me just because he found some women from someplace." The princess smirked. "He'll have to come to me again to save him from this cruel world."

"Princess, why don't you just forget about him? I don't understand what do you see in him?" The old man asked.

At this question, the princess shot him a glare: "Just because I call you grandfather, don't start to act like one! Don't meddle in my affairs ever, this is my last warning to you!"

"Y-Yes, my princess!" The old man bowed as he apologized.

At this moment, the old man sensed a powerful presence approaching their mansion, however, he recognized this presence.

He went outside to welcome him.

"Lord Shang Jiao, What brings you here?" The old man asked with a respectful bow, addressing the man floating in the air.

"I have come to take you to the courtroom on the orders of the clan head!"

"What??" The old man couldn't hide his shock. He was surprised by how fast he had been called to the courtroom. It hadn't even been five minutes since Ashen left and he was already called to the courtroom. Stay tuned with empire

It was as if the Shang clan had no other matters to attend to.

He had thought that it would take atleast a day for Ashen's request to be taken seriously, however, what he was seeing was entirely different from what he had imagined.

Moreover, he was called by the clan head, which meant that the person who would be judging the trial would be none other than the dragon emperor, Shang Long.

Just what has happened in a few months that Ashen's standing has changed so much?

However, soon he shook his head, rejecting the thought.

The princess and the woman in dark clothes sat on the front seats.

Ashen sat behind the plaintiff's spot to take part in the trial.

In the surrounding seats of the courtroom sat Elders and officials of the clan. It was as if this was the throne room.

Since both parties were present, Shang Long began the trial!

A loud sound initiated the trial.

"To start the trial, the plaintiff will tell us what the defendant is accused of and recount the whole situation!" Shang Long announced.

Ashen nodded in understanding as he stood up and spoke respectfully: "My lord, I'd like the eye witness to recount who has seen the whole situation while escorting me. It will save our time and since he is a subordinate of Uncle Shang Jiao, he can be trusted to be unbiased!"
