Chapter 751: Am I Coming at The Wrong Time?

Villain Ch 751. Am I Coming at The Wrong Time?

In the guest room, Emma sprawled across the bed, the soft comforter cradling her as she lay on her stomach. Her feet danced lightly in the air, their tips grazing the mattress as she scrolled through her phone. The glow of the screen illuminated her features, casting a faint blue hue on her face.

Her attention was fixated on the gaming forum, where discussions buzzed with excitement and fervor. Her fingers danced across the touchscreen, navigating through threads and comments with practiced ease. Her topic of the moment was Azura's avatar, VirtualValkyrie. It had sparked a wildfire of discussion.

Emma's excitement bubbled over. She couldn't help but admire Azura's skill and finesse, evident in every move described by fellow gamers. A grin tugged at the corners of her lips as she read through the strategies and tactics employed by VirtualValkyrie.

"Wow, your ambush is surely smooth," Emma muttered to herself, her voice filled with genuine admiration. Though her gaze remained fixed on the screen, her words were directed at Azura, a silent acknowledgment of her prowess. She had seen it yesterday, but not as clearly as this.

Azura lounged on the sofa nearby, her posture relaxed as she held her phone in her hand. Like Emma, she was engrossed in her phone, scrolling through gaming forums with keen interest. But her focus was drawn to a different kind of spectacle - the drama unfolding between Sophia and Elio.

With a smirk playing at the corner of her lips, Azura absorbed every juicy detail of the unfolding saga. Sophia's scathing remarks about Elio sparked a firestorm of reactions from other players, each comment adding fuel to the fiery debate. Azura's eyes flickered with amusement as she read through the heated exchanges, relishing in the virtual spectacle.

"Thanks, but I still couldn't kill him. Not even land a scratch," Azura remarked casually, her voice tinged with a hint of frustration. Despite her skill and determination, victory remained elusive, a tantalizing prize just out of reach. She sighed, running a hand through her hair as she leaned back against the cushions.

Emma glanced over at Azura, her eyebrows raised in playful incredulity. "What's with that flat answer?" she quipped, a teasing lilt in her voice. With practiced ease, she navigated away from the gaming forum, her attention now focused on a new chat message that had just popped up. After she read the message, Emma's fingers danced across the screen, tapping out a quick reply with practiced speed.

Azura peered over the screen of her phone, casting a playful glance at Emma. "What do you expect, huh? I already asked about Allen but you said it was a secret. I asked about the devil emperor, you also said it was a secret," she complained, her tone tinged with frustration.

Emma bristled at the accusation, her eyebrows furrowing in annoyance. "Anything you ask about the devil emperor is the company secret. While whatever you ask about my brother, you should ask him by yourself. Why ask me?" she shot back, her voice carrying a hint of defiance.

Azura let out an exasperated sigh, rolling her eyes in mock irritation. "Right. I can understand about the devil emperor. But you could at least tell me about your brother a bit," she countered, her tone softening into a playful negotiation.

A frown etched itself onto Emma's face, her features contorting with discomfort. She let out a small cringe, feeling the weight of Azura's inquiry. "Just ask him by yourself. His room is nearby," she replied tersely, a hint of frustration creeping into her voice. "He just became my brother, I also only know a little about him. What do you expect from me?

Wouldn't it be better if you got the answer straight from his mouth?" she pressed, her tone tinged with exasperation.

Azura bit her lip, a flush of embarrassment coloring her cheeks. "I want to do it. But I'm afraid he'll think things about me. We've had a lot of misunderstandings today. I don't want to add any more," she confessed, her voice laced with vulnerability.

Emma's gaze softened as she observed Azura's discomfort, a pang of sympathy tugging at her heartstrings. She lowered her phone, the glow of the screen casting a soft halo around her. "Azura… Do you have a crush on Allen?" she asked casually, her tone gentle yet probing.

Azura's eyes widened in panic, her cheeks flushing an even deeper shade of crimson. "What are you talking about? Allen is my cousin," she protested, her words rushed and breathless.

Emma raised an eyebrow, a knowing smile playing at the corners of her lips. "Hey, no need to get defensive. It's just a question," she reassured, her voice light and teasing. "But seriously, if you're worried about misunderstandings, maybe it's best to clear the air with him. Communication is key, you know?" Emma shot Azura a skeptical look, her eyebrows raised inquisitively.

"Besides… are you sure you're not interested in him at all?" she probed, her tone laced with curiosity.

Azura shook her head adamantly, her denial swift and resolute. "No, I'm not interested in Allen whatsoever," she insisted, her words firm and unwavering.

As if on cue, the door creaked open, revealing Allen's figure standing awkwardly in the doorway. His eyes widened in surprise as he caught the tail end of Azura's declaration, a cringe forming on his face.

"Am I coming at the wrong time?" he interjected awkwardly, his voice tinged with embarrassment.

Emma stifled a laugh, shooting Azura a knowing glance. "Looks like you've got an audience," she teased, a playful smirk dancing on her lips.

Azura's cheeks flushed with embarrassment as she met Allen's gaze, her heart racing with mortification. "No, no! You're not interrupting anything," she stammered, her words rushed like a river stream.

Azura's heart skipped a beat as shame and panic flooded her thoughts at Allen's sudden and unexpected appearance. She felt caught off guard, her cheeks burning with embarrassment as she scrambled to compose herself.

But before she could utter a word, Emma's voice broke through the tension, casual and nonchalant. "Come in, brother. We're talking," she said, her tone inviting and relaxed.

Azura shot Emma a grateful glance, silently thanking her for diffusing the awkwardness of the moment. Still, the embarrassment lingered, and she couldn't help but voice her complaint. "Wait, why did you come in before knocking on the door?" she grumbled, her face flushed with embarrassment.

Emma's lips curved into a mischievous grin as she met Azura's gaze. "Oh, I was the one who asked him to come in without knocking," she confessed, her tone teasing. Yeah, the message she just replied to was from Allen. Allen asked her if she was with Azura, Emma replied yes to the message and asked Allen to enter the guest room without knocking the door since the door was unlocked.

Azura's stare changed. She couldn't help but shoot Emma a death stare, her annoyance palpable as she bit her lip in frustration. But Emma, ever the master of deflection, simply brushed past Azura's glare, her attention fully focused on Allen.

"What brought you here?" Emma inquired, her tone casual as if Azura's silent protest didn't even register.

Meanwhile, Allen made his way over to the sofa, settling into the seat opposite Azura with a casual ease. "I saw Azura's ambush footage and thought about taking her online," he admitted bluntly, cutting straight to the chase. There was no beating around the bush with him; he went straight for the main topic, hoping to avoid any further suspicion or awkwardness.

Azura's irritation softened into curiosity as she processed Allen's words. She arched an eyebrow, her gaze shifting between Emma and Allen. "Taking me online? What, like a gaming showdown?" she questioned, her interest piqued by the prospect of a challenge.

"No, like hunting together. I never met you in the game," Allen clarified with a grin, his tone light and playful.

Emma's head snapped towards Allen, her expression turning sharp as she silently questioned him with a single look that screamed, 'Okay, spill it. What's going on?'

In response, Allen offered a dry smile, his eyes glinting with mischief as if to say, 'She's on my kill list. I've got to take her down, or I'll never complete my quest.'

Emma's frown deepened, her gaze narrowing as if to convey, 'Just hold off on the killing for now. Do you want to get caught?'

But Allen's smile only widened, his gaze meeting Emma's with a confident assurance that seemed to whisper, 'Don't worry, I've got a plan.'

Allen shifted his attention back to Azura, his eyes alight with anticipation. "So, what's your answer, Azura?" he asked, his voice filled with excitement. "I asked Kai if we had an extra VR device, and he said we have it."

Azura's expression shifted between reluctance and confusion as she deliberated over Allen's invitation. The idea of joining Allen was tempting, but uncertainty clouded her mind. Would she be able to keep up with his skills? What if she embarrassed herself in front of him?

Caught in a whirlwind of indecision, Azura chewed on her bottom lip, her thoughts racing a mile a minute.
