Chapter 767: Just For Fun

Villain Ch 767. Just For Fun

Allen chuckled, shaking his head at Red_King's jest. "Better late than never, right?" he quipped, his tone light despite the lingering tension from the recent battle.

Red_King grinned, his annoyance melting away as he clapped a hand on Allen's shoulder. "True that," he agreed. "Looks like you handled yourself pretty well out there," he added, nodding approvingly at Allen. "Your fighting skills are still as sharp as ever," Red_King chimed in with a grin, his words carrying a hint of admiration.

Allen's brow furrowed in confusion. "Did you see my fight?" he asked, his tone tinged with disbelief.

Red_King nodded, turning to one of the mid-level players who stood nearby. Allen followed his gaze and recognized the player as one of the Red_King guildmates from the Celestial Vanguard guild. The player waved enthusiastically, a wide smile spreading across his face.

"He was the one who messaged me in the guild, recorded all of this, and put the video live on the forum," Red_King explained, gesturing towards their guildmate.

A hunter named Bored Hunter approached him. With a friendly smile, Bored Hunter extended his hand in greeting, and Allen accepted it, their hands clasping together in a firm shake.

"I'm not a streamer, so my video is taking longer to gain attention. Sorry, I can't do anything other than this," Bored Hunter explained apologetically, his tone tinged with regret.

Allen shook his head, dismissing the apology with a wave of his hand. "Don't be sorry," he reassured Bored Hunter. "They ambushed us, so there's nothing we can do."

Just then, another familiar figure approached, drawing Allen's attention away from Bored Hunter. It was Father^Alex. There was a rare excitement in Father^Alex's voice as he spoke, a contrast to his usual calm demeanor.

"I saw your battle. It was incredible," Father^Alex exclaimed, his eyes shining with admiration. "You managed to land a hit on the emperor, right? You are the first player to ever do it."

"Thanks," Allen replied, his voice tinged with humility. "It was a team effort, really. Me and VirtualValkyrie, we fought together."

Father^Alex nodded in agreement, a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Well, you certainly led the charge," he said, his admiration evident in his words. "You've made history today, my friend."

Red_King suddenly interjected, his voice cutting through the chatter like a knife. "My question is still the same," he announced, catching Allen off guard. With a determined expression, Red_King extended his hand toward Allen, a silent invitation hanging in the air. "Are you interested in joining my guild?" he asked once again, his tone earnest.

With a heavy heart, Allen shook his head from side to side. "Sorry, my answer is still the same," he replied, his voice tinged with regret.

Red_King let out a long sigh, disappointment evident in his tone. "Too bad," he murmured, his gaze flickering with a hint of sadness. "I know you just need the right guild. But I respect your decision."

Allen nodded in appreciation of Red_King's understanding, grateful for his friend's unwavering support. "Thanks," he replied, his voice soft. "I just want to play this game for fun," he added, his words carrying a sense of conviction.

Red_King nodded in acknowledgment, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I get it," he said, his tone understanding. "Just know that the offer still stands if you ever change your mind."

Allen returned Red_King's smile. "I'll keep that in mind," he promised.

Another player, emboldened by the discussion, stepped forward to voice their opinion. "But why?" he interjected, his voice cutting through the air with a note of curiosity. "I mean, you're really good at this," he continued, their gaze fixed on Allen with genuine admiration.

A chorus of agreement rippled through the crowd as another player chimed in, their voice filled with enthusiasm. "Yes, don't waste your skills," she urged, her words echoing the sentiments of many gathered around them. "You should join the battle, the war. Isn't this the essence of this game? Defeating the villains?" Experience tales with My Virtual Library Empire

Allen felt a swell of pressure mounting around him as more players added their voices to the chorus of persuasion. Each word carried with it the weight of expectation, the collective desire for Allen to join the fight and use his talents for the greater good.

The voices around him grew louder. Amidst the din of voices, another player spoke up, their tone tinged with a hint of awe. "Oh, c'mon," he exclaimed, their words laced with admiration. "I've never seen such a crazy fight before."

The crowd of players continued to urge Allen to take the game more seriously, their voices blending together in a cacophony of persuasion, one player remained notably silent. It was as if they were waiting for the perfect moment to interject, their silence adding an air of anticipation to the conversation.

Then, suddenly, the silence was broken by the voice of that previously silent player. "Does this have anything to do with the past tournament?" he asked. "When two of your team members turned around and joined another team? Is that why you disappeared and decided to just play games for fun?"

The question landed like a bombshell, causing a collective gasp to ripple through the crowd. All eyes turned to Allen, their expressions a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. It was a sensitive topic, one that had been buried beneath the surface but now brought to the forefront by the daring inquiry of one player.

Allen's heart pounded in his chest as he felt the weight of everyone's gaze upon him. The atmosphere grew tense, the air heavy with unspoken tension. It was clear that the player had touched a nerve, uncovering a truth that Allen had been reluctant to confront.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of silence, Allen spoke, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yes," he admitted, his words heavy with the weight of regret. "It had a lot to do with it."

Quickly, Red_King cleared his throat, his voice cutting through the tension. "Well, it looks like we don't need to discuss that anymore," he declared, his tone firm yet gentle. "It touches personal stuff and something that does not need to be brought up."

"Thanks," Allen murmured softly, his eyes meeting Red_King's with a silent acknowledgment of his understanding.
