Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde

Chapter 116: Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [116]

Boom! Boom!

A deafening explosion rang out, sending countless Dark Eldar members flying into the air. However, this arena was simply too massive—it could accommodate tens of millions of spectators.

The number of Dark Eldar members here was unimaginably large; losing a few was nothing more than a drop in the ocean for them.

But why did the Dark Eldar gather to watch such an extremely bloody competition? There was only one reason—to obtain more soul energy. If no one died, how could they harvest soul energy? As for who died, it didn't matter in the slightest.

As long as the leaders of the Kabals—the true rulers of Commorragh City—remained unharmed, then the deaths of ordinary people were of no consequence.

After all, every day, the Haemonculus would release a large batch of already-cloned Dark Eldar members from their cultivation tanks.

In Dark Eldar society, the word "compassion" did not exist. Strength was paramount, and survival was for the fittest. If you were defeated and died, it was simply because you were unlucky or not strong enough—there was no other reason.

"What a spectacular battle! Audience, enjoy this performance!"

"More excitement! More excitement! We want even bloodier fights!"

"Bloodshed! Death!"

"Blood! Brutality!"

The Dark Eldar spectators in the stands were completely fired up, shouting fanatically.

At this moment, Lelith was extremely excited, waving her monster capsule wildly as she commanded Miclas to launch an attack on Rhodes' monster.

On Rhodes' side, he was directing Gomora and Miclas in a choreographed battle. The two monsters exchanged blows—one throwing a punch, the other delivering a kick—occasionally colliding with their massive bodies.

The commotion they caused was immense as the two giant beasts engaged in a fierce battle once again.

To enhance the realism, Gomora suddenly bit down hard, tearing a chunk of flesh directly off Miclas.

A large splash of blood and flesh was hurled into the audience, dyeing countless spectators red with monster blood.

Miclas howled in pain, looking at Gomora with a hint of fear.

However, the Dark Eldar spectators in the stands were ecstatic. Bathing in the fresh blood, some even started fighting amongst themselves in excitement.

"Hahaha! Do you all want an even more thrilling match? I'll make it happen! Let's turn this duel into something even more spectacular!"

The leader of the sinister Kabal, Vect, smirked and whispered a few words to his attendant.

The attendant nodded and immediately rushed off to make preparations.

Lady Malys also chuckled, glancing at the succubus beside her.

"Let me join in as well, Vect. Let's make this match even more exciting—more blood, more carnage!"

"Hahaha! Bring it on!" Vect sneered.

A mere battle between two monsters wasn't enough; they needed to spice things up.

While Rhodes' two giant monsters were locked in a fierce, staged fight in the arena, suddenly, the gates on both sides of the battlefield opened.

Rhodes, who was focused on commanding the monsters, was momentarily stunned. From both entrances, a massive horde of Ork warriors surged forth.

A large group of green-skinned orks, wielding all sorts of crude and bizarre weapons, stormed in with faces full of excitement.

And their numbers kept increasing. Within moments, over a thousand green-skinned warriors had flooded into the arena.

"WAAAGH!!" "WAAAGH!!"

Sheer ecstasy!

At this very moment, the green-skinned orks felt like they had entered paradise, charging forward while howling in excitement.

Some rushed toward Rhodes and Lelith, while others charged at the giant monsters.

"WAAAGH!!"

A towering ork, nearly three meters tall, dressed in tattered armor and wielding a massive iron hammer, roared as he charged straight at Rhodes.

"WAAAGH!! WAAAGH!!"

Behind him, countless smaller orks waved their makeshift weapons and charged at Rhodes with reckless abandon.

Rhodes swiftly dodged the ork warlord's attack with a nimble roll, then leaped into the air, delivering a flying kick that sent two smaller orks tumbling away.

"What the hell?! Orks?!

Could this be a greenskin invasion of Commorragh City?!

Rhodes never expected his first encounter with the Orks to be this sudden and chaotic.

His only response was the deafening roars of the excited orks:

"So much fun! So much fun! Fight! Fight!"

"WAAAGH!!"

 "WAAAGH!!"

A large horde of Ork Boyz waved their weapons and charged at Rhodes.

On Lelith's side, there was also an attacker—a Warboss leading a group of Ork Boyz. However, the Arena Queen had much more combat experience and seemed to enjoy the fight. She drew her dagger and counterattacked with deadly precision.

"Haha, this is the kind of battle I was hoping for!" Lelith had now transformed into a battle-crazed lunatic, wielding two daggers and engaging in brutal close combat with the green-skinned Orks.

Aside from attacking Rhodes and Lelith, most of the Orks charged toward the two massive beasts. Although they could only scratch at the monsters' feet, the endless swarm of Orks kept pouring into the battlefield.

Some even piloted massive, ramshackle robots—over 10 meters tall—made entirely of scrap metal and unidentified alloys, barreling toward Rod's giant beasts to attack them. These were the Orks' Gargants, along with smaller Stompas. Compared to Rhodes and Lelith, it was clear that the two giant beasts were much more appealing targets for the Orks.

"WAAAGH!!"

Some Ork Shoota Boyz, wielding crude rifles, also stormed into the fray.

Rhodes immediately activated his Captain's Armor shield, casually picked up a weapon dropped by one of the Ork Boyz, and cut down several of them charging at him.

"Since you've shown up on your own, I don't mind harvesting some of you," Rhodes muttered. He hadn't had the chance to farm Orks before.

Rhodes quickly commanded his two massive beasts to start attacking the Orks.

The Dark Eldar audience in the stands erupted in cheers of excitement as the two massive beasts crushed countless Orks underfoot, making the scene even bloodier.

"Well then, let's have even more fun!" Rhodes' palm shot out a bolt of yellow lightning, blasting a dozen Ork Boyz attacking him into the air.

With a swing of his longsword, he decapitated another Ork in a backhanded strike. Then, like a tiger among sheep, he tore through their ranks, his palm continuously firing yellow lightning that turned the charging Orks into green explosions.

The Ork Warboss that Rhodes had just repelled furiously pounded the ground like a raging bull and charged at him.

Even a barrage of a dozen yellow lightning bolts couldn't stop the Warboss's charge. As it got closer, Rhodes snorted coldly and threw a punch to meet its attack head-on.

Boom!

The two fists—one massive, one small—collided with a thunderous crash. The Ork Warboss's arm was crippled, but a satisfied grin appeared on its face as it was sent flying, crashing into a wall.

"This is too much fun!"

The Warboss, now climbing to its feet, looked at Rhodes with a gaze of ecstatic admiration, as if it were seeing the most beautiful thing in the galaxy. It charged at him again, shouting, "This is the glorious WAAAGH I was waiting for! Gork and Mork are watching over me!"

The Warboss was lost in its delusions, but Rhodes had already leaped forward and severed its head with a single strike.

"Focus during battle! Maybe you'll get it right in your next life!" Rhodes taunted as he turned away.

However, Rhodes' ferocious display quickly attracted the attention of two other Ork Warbosses—and even more Ork Boyz—all of whom charged at him with excitement and glee.

At that moment, a white-haired girl wielding a longsword suddenly appeared, cutting down several Ork Boyz who were closing in on Rhodes.

It was none other than the Eldar girl, Yvraine, whom Rhodes had met alone before.

"Lord Loki! Not bad, huh? Interested in competing with me to see who can kill more of these green-skins?" Yvraine leaped high into the air, spun gracefully, and decapitated an Ork with a single slash.

"This lord's strength is incredible! He punched an Ork Warboss into the air with one blow. Such brute force is stronger than any warrior I've ever seen. His speed is unparalleled, too," she thought to herself while observing Rhodes in action.

"And he can fire those yellow lightning blasts from his palms. It doesn't seem to be psychic energy either. What kind of power is this?"

Rhodes, meanwhile, asked, "What's going on here? Why did you suddenly show up? And where did these guys come from?"

Yvraine replied while slashing at an Ork Warboss, "Lord Loki, the audience wanted the match to be more exciting—not just a fight between two beasts. They wanted something extra. Besides, I was itching for a fight myself. Luckily, a new batch of green-skins was brought into Commorragh recently."

"Lord Loki, enjoy this battle to your heart's content!" said one of the Eldar warriors accompanying Yvraine, who had also begun attacking the Ork Boyz near Rhodes.

"Lord Loki, have you encountered these green-skins before? You need to cut off their heads; otherwise, they won't die!" Yvraine said as she moved closer to Rhodes.

Rhodes snorted in response, grabbing an Ork Boy by the neck with one hand and its shoulder with the other. With a powerful pull, he tore it in half, spraying sticky green blood everywhere. He then stomped on its head, making it explode.

"I haven't met them before, but I think this should do the trick," Rhodes said as he shook the blood off his hands.

He then dashed toward the Ork Warboss fighting Lelith. Before the Warboss could react, Rhodes stabbed it clean through, killing it instantly.

Rhodes' enhanced Bemstar made him astonishingly fast on the ground. No one present even saw how he moved. After killing the Warboss, Rhodes flew into the air and transformed into a mobile artillery platform. From his palms, he unleashed a continuous barrage of yellow lightning, blowing hordes of Orks sky-high.

In the air, Rhodes became a grim reaper, mercilessly harvesting the lives of the green-skins.

The Orks, the galaxy's most cheerful race, had an unexpected and sudden first encounter with Rhodes. While surprising, it was mutually enjoyable—Rhodes earned valuable resources from the Orks, while the green-skins got the WAAAGH they craved.
