Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde

Chapter 347: Warhammer: Lord of the Endless Monster Horde [346]

She'd just had a real blast, but poor Ahriman had been hammered into a pig-head by Yvraine, all his subordinates killed—now a one-man band.

Ahriman's eyes were lifeless. Why? Why did this happen? Why did he lose so badly, so quickly? How did this woman get so much stronger in under a year?

Just because she was the Ynnari's Prophet? Nonsense! He was a Chaos Champion! Even if he didn't believe in Tzeentch, his power was real. Among the four traitor legions' chosen, each Chaos God picked a top champion besides the Primarch.

Noise Marines had Lucius, World Eaters had Khorne's Kharn, and the Thousand Sons had Ahriman.

Among them, Ahriman's psychic power was the strongest.

He could fight the others in melee except Kharn, who might overpower him.

He'd brought hundreds of warband Marines and dozens of Chaos Sorcerers to ambush one Eldar woman.

It should have been a sure thing—even one lone Primarch would be in trouble against such a force.

But the result was shocking—the woman's psychic power was unimaginable.

Her life level was beyond Primarch, her life force overwhelming. He'd only felt such power from Titan Beasts before.

But Titan Beasts were mindless animals. This woman had a psychic shield that blocked even his magic, and the monster was unstoppable. The battle was one-sided.

In the end, he was the only one left. The woman shrank back to normal size, pummeled Ahriman's head, and hammered him into a pig-head.

He'd been a Thousand Sons Captain on Holy Terra, joined the Great Crusade, served under Magnus, and fought in the Heresy—over 10,000 years! He'd never suffered such humiliation!

Ahriman was filled with grief and rage.

"Mud… ha… ha…" Ahriman mumbled.

"Pfft! Hahaha!" Space Wolves' Logan burst out laughing, clutching his stomach.

Was this really Ahriman, the infamous terror? He looked more like a clown! Logan was delighted to see a top Thousand Sons member get humiliated.

Ahriman glared at Logan, but with his swollen, twisted face, the effect was more comical than menacing.

"Hahaha!" Rhodes.

"Hahaha!" Yvarine.

"Hahahaha!" Lelith.

[Insert jujutsu kaisen meme here.]

The three openly mocked him, Ahriman trembling as if suffering 10,000 psychic crits.

Damn you, Eldar witch! Don't let me get the chance or you'll pay in blood!

"All right, Logan, you go handle the rest of the planetary affairs. This Ahriman, we'll deal with him." Rhodes said.

Logan nodded, bowed, and left.

"He's lived over 10,000 years, fought in the Great Crusade, and you beat him like this—wasn't that a bit much?" Rhodes said to Yvraine.

"Don't tell me it was too much! First time we met, he nearly wiped out my Ynnari! I almost lost everyone—you know? Lelith and I nearly never met you again!" Yvraine protested.

"So you brought him to me. Why do you think I need him?" Rhodes crossed his arms.

"He's a Chaos Space Marine Champion! You're a Primarch now, and Magnus's return to the Imperium was crucially linked to you, wasn't it?" Yvraine said.

She'd figured out some of Rhodes' power—he gained rewards by killing human enemies. His giant monsters and special constructs came that way.

Even the Dark Eldar arena tournaments were mostly to harvest coins from the Dark Eldar spectators.

But Yvraine didn't care about them—most were mass-produced in tanks. As long as you didn't slaughter Craftworld Eldar, you could kill Dark Eldar freely—99.99% were villains, and the other 0.01% were super villains.

"You're right. Fine, I'll accept your gift."

"He has another use—he's the strongest Chaos Sorcerer outside Magnus, can use unimaginable Chaos magic, and can easily open a warp rift to let endless daemons flow in. You'll need that." Yvraine winked and left.

Her words lit up Rhodes' eyes! He'd been harvesting Dark Eldar, raising Orks, and would raise Tyranids in the future—so why not have someone summon endless Chaos Daemons for him? They were infinite coins!

To open a stable warp rift, you needed more than strong psychic power. Human psykers couldn't do it.

His Slaanesh Assassin could brute-force a rift, but it would close quickly.

But with a Tzeentchian Chaos Sorcerer, he could open a permanent rift and summon daemons for Rod to slaughter for points.

Only Rhodes would be crazy enough for this. Anyone else would risk a planet-wide daemon invasion.

"Hahaha! Come, Ahriman, sit, let me heal you. I'm actually good friends with your dad!" Rhodes gestured to Isha to heal Ahriman.

The Goddess of Life smiled, her hand glowing green, and Ahriman's swollen face quickly returned to normal.

"What do you want? Are you going to kill me or let me go?" Ahriman asked.

He was a Chaos Champion—normal means couldn't kill him. Even if his body was destroyed, he could reform in the warp.

"Killing you is easy. I have the Emperor's psychic power—I could wipe you out for good. But I'm friends with your father Magnus, and he said you're one of the few rational Thousand Sons, and you don't trust the Chaos Gods. If you wish, I can help you break free from their control." Rhodes said.

With the combined power of his, Lelith's, and Yvraine's Cosmic Phantom Beasts, and with the Goddess of Life present, they could expel the Chaos God's influence and free Ahriman from Tzeentch.

"I've lived over 10,000 years. Get to the point." Ahriman said.

Seemed he had a chance to return to the Imperium camp! What about the other Thousand Sons?

"I like talking to smart people. I'll help you break free of Chaos, rebuild your body, boost your psychic power, and even give you a new gene-seed.

In return, you'll open a permanent warp rift on a special planet for me and continuously summon daemons from the warp." Rhodes said.

With such a world, Rhodes could send a dozen monsters to farm points.

And with Ahriman, if the rift got too big, he could help close it.
