Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Tsunade Is Back—But with the Uchiha!
"Uchiha brat! You think I'm too old to beat you into the ground?!"
Tsunade, already fuming from a day full of frustration, snapped the moment Andrew dared speak back. With a glare fierce enough to freeze ANBU in their tracks, she wound up her fist, her chakra rippling in the air.
"Oh come on—she's actually serious!"
Andrew's face paled. This woman must have a screw loose. Did she seriously throw a punch every time she had a bad mood? This wasn't some tavern squabble—she was about to flatten a clan head!
Feeling the monstrous chakra building in her fist, Andrew didn't dare hold back. In the ninja world, taijutsu wasn't just dangerous—it was deadly. At full force, a strike from Tsunade could split boulders and shatter steel. Ninjutsu and genjutsu could be evaded or countered, but taijutsu?
You either blocked it... or broke something.
As Shizune let out a startled cry, Andrew's eyes flickered—the crimson glow of the Mangekyō Sharingan activating in an instant. He moved just in time to meet Tsunade's punch with his own.
BOOM!
A thunderous shockwave tore through the forest. Trees trembled. Wind howled through the clearing. The earth cracked beneath their feet as raw physical power clashed.
Even though both combatants were pushed back by the force, Andrew was clearly worse off. He had used a blend of Mangekyō chakra and Senjutsu-enhanced strength, but Tsunade's attack was pure, trained brute force fueled by decades of combat.
"This woman's a monster!" Andrew muttered as he staggered backward, panting.
Before he could fully regain his footing, the ground cracked beneath him.
Tsunade was already charging again.
The next punch was faster, stronger. This time, Andrew didn't hesitate.
"Susanoo!"
A ribcage of glowing chakra burst forth around him just in time. The skeletal armor of Susanoo intercepted Tsunade's attack with a resonating crack, shielding him from the brunt of the blow.
But cracks webbed across the translucent bones.
"No way—she cracked Susanoo with her fist?!"
Andrew's eyes narrowed. Even this basic version of Susanoo couldn't withstand her raw power.
"Time to reinforce..."
The Mangekyō Sharingan spun faster. More energy surged. The ribcage thickened, muscle-like chakra wrapped around the bones, forming a partial humanoid shape.
Tsunade took a step back, eyes narrowed in interest. "So that's Susanoo, huh? The famed power of the Uchiha."
She folded her arms and tilted her head, her rage cooling slightly as curiosity took over.
"As expected from someone carrying the Mangekyō," she said with a smirk. "That thing's impressive... for now."
Andrew exhaled, finally catching a break.
"You know, I'm starting to question if you're really fit to be our chief medical consultant, Tsunade-sama. At this rate, you'll end up killing more of our clan than healing them."
"Ahahaha... sorry, sorry," she laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of her head. "I wasn't exactly in a good mood. But hey, I won't do it again. Promise."
Andrew didn't blink. "You're on a one-month probationary period now. Whether or not you keep this job depends entirely on your behavior."
Tsunade's jaw dropped.
"You're putting me on probation?! Do you know who I am?!"
But she stopped short. She had debts. She had no income. And now, she had a contract signed with a rich clan. As much as it bruised her pride...
She needed this.
"Ugh... fine. I'll behave. But do I still get paid during this probation period?"
"Depends," Andrew replied dryly.
Shizune placed a gentle hand on her master's arm. "Tsunade-sama, please control yourself. Andrew-san isn't as easy to fool as others."
Meanwhile, Jiraiya limped up to them, one side of his face still swollen. His jaw dropped when he saw the damaged landscape—the cracked ground, the broken trees, and the lingering chakra in the air.
"What the hell happened here?!"
"Master Jiraiya," Shizune said, sighing. "They fought."
"You fought him?" Jiraiya asked Tsunade, blinking in disbelief. "I thought he'd get launched into the stratosphere."
Tsunade snorted. "Not everyone's as soft as you."
She crossed her arms, feigning annoyance. "Now move aside. I'm heading to the Uchiha compound. Can't be late for my probation, apparently."
But beneath the sarcasm, Tsunade was quietly impressed. She hadn't gone all-out with that first punch, but she hadn't exactly pulled it either. The fact that Andrew blocked it—without using chakra-based ninjutsu—spoke volumes.
This Uchiha kid… he's not ordinary.
Not far from the village gates, a group of Konoha shinobi had gathered in the shadows. The commotion from Tsunade and Andrew's clash had drawn their attention, but they hadn't interfered.
"Was that Tsunade-sama?"
"I'm sure of it. And the Uchiha kid was with her... Andrew."
The ANBU leader wasted no time. "Report to the Hokage immediately."
Inside the Hokage Office, Hiruzen Sarutobi sat with a rare expression of hope across his tired face. He stood as the report came in.
"You're saying... Tsunade's back? She returned?"
The ANBU ninja nodded. "Yes, sir. She entered the village alongside Jiraiya and Uchiha Andrew."
"Excellent. Excellent! Inform her immediately—she must come see me!"
But before the ninja could leave, a battered figure appeared in the open window.
"Don't get too excited, old man. I didn't bring her back." It was Jiraiya, looking like he'd been on the losing end of a wild brawl.
Sarutobi frowned. "Jiraiya? What are you talking about?"
"I found her, alright," Jiraiya muttered, rubbing his bruised cheek. "But when I mentioned Konoha, she socked me in the face. Then she wrecked one of Uchiha's casinos."
Hiruzen's eyes widened. "She did what?"
"Oh, and before I forget—when I asked her to come visit you... she punched me again."
"..."
The Third Hokage sank back into his chair, muttering curses under his breath.
"So she's back... but not really 'back'. She's not returning to Konoha... she's working with Uchiha."
"Pretty much," Jiraiya sighed. "She signed some kind of contract. She's officially their medical consultant now."
Sarutobi's hands clenched. He had hoped Tsunade's return would help stabilize relations with the Fire Daimyo. But now... she was aligning with the Uchiha instead.
The very clan he had tried for years to keep from gaining too much power.
"Damn it," Hiruzen muttered. "This isn't good. Not good at all."
Outside the Hokage Office, Andrew guided Tsunade and Shizune through a side path into Uchiha territory. They passed the grand stone gates, the clan's sigil glowing red under the afternoon sun.
"Welcome home, Chief Medical Consultant," Andrew said, smirking.
"Shut it," Tsunade grumbled. "Just point me to the office and the staff. I want to know who I'm working with."
"Sure," Andrew said, "but just remember—no punches during staff meetings."
Tsunade's fist twitched.
"Just kidding," he added quickly.
