Chapter 137: Side Story: Original World (2)

A secluded forest clearing bathed in golden sunlight. The gentle rustle of leaves. The rhythmic sounds of combat echoed through the tranquil surroundings as Rena sparred against her father, Chairul.

The Indonesian sun filtered through the trees, casting warm patterns of light and shadow across the ground. The earthy scent of damp soil mixed with the faint fragrance of distant sea breeze—perhaps a lingering trace of her connection to the mystical Sea Queen.

Rena's movements were precise, powerful. Her captivating beauty reflected both her demon heritage and her mysterious origins. The warm glow of her skin, like the last light of dusk before nightfall, contrasted beautifully with her blonde hair, inherited from her mother. When the sunlight caught it, strands shimmered with subtle hues of indigo and silver, as if kissed by starlight.

Her father, a seasoned soldier and Silat master, moved like a storm—swift yet controlled. Chairul's every motion spoke of discipline honed through years of battle.

A low sweeping kick.

Rena dodged, her reflexes sharp.

An elbow strike in retaliation.

Chairul blocked, stepping back with practiced ease.

"Rena," his deep voice carried a firm yet patient tone. "Power without discipline is dangerous. Control your strength, or it'll control you."

Rena adjusted her stance, exhaling slowly. "I know, Daddy. I've been practicing my forms. But…" she hesitated for a moment, her golden eyes flickering with resolve. "I'm not here just to train. There's something I need to tell you."

Chairul's brows furrowed slightly as he observed her carefully. "Oh? What is it? You've been quieter than usual lately."

Rena stepped back, catching her breath. "It's about Mas Satria. I don't think he's gone."

The weight of her words lingered in the air.

Chairul's expression tightened, concern creeping into his features. "Rena… you've seen the reports. The accident was fatal. Your mother and I mourned him."

But Rena shook her head, her hands clenched into fists.

"No, Father. I've been in contact with Nyi Roro Kidul—the Sea Queen. She showed me visions… and there's more. Someone is manipulating events. Mas Satria didn't just die in that accident—he was taken."

Chairul stiffened. "Taken? By who?"

Rena's golden eyes burned with determination. "What we know for sure is that it's something from outside this planet. I don't know exactly who yet, but they orchestrated the whole thing."

She took a deep breath.

"Our ancestors already found him and confirmed—Mas Satria is alive."

Chairul lowered his stance, absorbing her words, his emotions a mixture of disbelief and hope.

"Sweetheart… are you absolutely certain about this? If what you're saying is true… this changes everything."

Rena nodded firmly. "I am. I have the Sea Queen's support, and I'm going to use everything I've learned to track down whoever did this. But I need your help. I need to get stronger—to be ready for whatever I might face when I find him."

She exhaled, stepping forward. "So get serious, Father."

Chairul's lips curved into a faint, knowing smile. "Hah… just like your mother—always so stubborn."

Then, his expression shifted.

"It's actually forbidden to use magic openly these days, but…"

He raised his hand, summoning an ancient weapon—

A mystical spear, shimmering with golden energy, materialized in his grasp.

"Come forth—the Heavenly Chakra Spear."

The weapon pulsed with ancestral power.

Chairul studied the spear for a moment before glancing back at Rena. "I had planned to give this to that obnoxious brat when the time was right, to introduce him to the truth of the world—the darkness lurking behind the veil of reality. I thought that day would never come…"

His gaze hardened. "But here you are, giving me surprising news."

His stance shifted. "Get ready, Princess."

Rena inhaled deeply, summoning her inner strength.

"Authority of Overlord."

A wave of dark energy pulsed outward, swirling around her as she transformed.

Her Overlord Armor gleamed in the dim light—black and metallic, adorned with ancient engravings that seemed almost alive, pulsing with chaotic energy.

Chairul watched as she stepped forward, fully clad in her regal battle attire.

The transformation was seamless—her presence now commanding. Her physical form exuded both grace and power, moving with the fluidity of a warrior honed in ancient arts. She was lean yet strong, her every movement calculated, as though she were a shadow shifting through reality itself.

Her father handed her a massive black-bladed weapon—a sword and spear hybrid that crackled with untamed energy.

He observed her in silence, his gaze filled with a mixture of pride and concern.

"You've already grown strong, Rena. But strength alone won't be enough."

His voice was steady.

"Whoever did this to your brother is not to be underestimated. We'll train harder—both your body and mind must be ready for this fight."

Rena's grip on her weapon tightened.

Her golden eyes locked onto his, unwavering.

"I'm ready for whatever it takes, Father."

Chairul exhaled, nodding firmly. "Then let's begin. We'll sharpen your skills—prepare for anything. Together…"

His eyes burned with the same determination.

"…we'll get him back."

And as the sun continued to set, casting long shadows through the forest, father and daughter clashed once more—each strike forging the path toward an inevitable battle yet to come.

The wind howled across the rugged cliffside, carrying the scent of salt from the distant sea below. Rena stood at the edge, her Overlord Armor gleaming beneath the setting sun. In her hands, she gripped Soulpiercer, the weight of her mission pressing upon her shoulders.

Despite the burden, her golden eyes held no doubt—only determination.

She had sworn to uncover the truth. To bring Mas Satria home.

Then, a powerful gust of wind stirred the heavens. The sky darkened—not in menace, but in reverence—as a majestic figure descended from the clouds.

A divine presence.

A guardian of the skies.

A massive Garuda, his golden feathers radiant like the sun, his piercing eyes gleaming with wisdom and strength, landed gracefully before her. His enormous wings folded as he regarded her with deep respect.

Rena gazed up in awe, her voice steady despite the overwhelming presence before her.

"Garuda…" she whispered, recognizing the legendary protector of Indonesia, a being of myth and power. "I didn't expect such a powerful ally. Why have you answered my call?"

The great Garuda nodded, his voice carrying the weight of ages.

"Rena, granddaughter of the Queen of the Southern Sea and Kalijaga. Word of your quest has reached even the heavens. I have come to offer my aid."

Rena's grip on Soulpiercer tightened, her heart pounding. "You honor me, Garuda. But why?"

The guardian's eyes burned with an unshakable resolve.

"I have sensed a great disturbance. Your brother's disappearance is no simple event—it ripples across realms, affecting the balance of worlds. If he has been taken, it is not merely a family's tragedy. It is a wound upon existence itself."

Garuda's gaze softened, but his words remained firm.

"And more than that, we are Indonesia. No matter our race, no matter our faith—we stand together. When one of us falls, we rise as one."

Rena's heart swelled with emotion at his words. She had always known that unity was their strength, but to hear it from a being so ancient and powerful reaffirmed her belief.

"Thank you, Garuda. Your help means everything."

She took a deep breath before continuing. "Nyi Roro Kidul has shown me visions—a shadowy figure manipulating events from behind the veil. Do you think it's possible that Mas Satria was taken… to another world?"

Garuda closed his eyes in deep thought. The air around them grew still, as if nature itself awaited his answer.

"The Outer Gods are known for their tricks and illusions." His voice was low, filled with ancient wisdom. "They can hide from the sight of both mortals and immortals alike. But they cannot hide from me."

His eyes flared with divine energy, and his massive wings trembled with restrained power.

"I can sense the shifts in power across the realms. If Satria has been cast into another world, we will find him. With my wings and your strength, nothing shall stand in our way."

Rena's lips curved into a fierce smile, her golden eyes burning with renewed resolve.

"Then we have no time to waste. We will bring him back."

The wind roared around them, as if the world itself acknowledged their oath.

Then, a mischievous glint appeared in Rena's eyes.

"But first," she added with a smirk, "let's have dinner at my home. We should celebrate this alliance properly."

Garuda let out a booming, amused laugh. "Hah! I did not expect such a request, but very well, Rena. I shall accept your hospitality. Let us feast—tonight, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we take to the skies."

To be continued…
