Chapter 2: Alone and Terrified
I woke up alone with Feiro on the shore of White Harbor. The only harbor in the North. Ferio was beside me. I coughed up water looking around me at the bodies of the men who had died trying to protect me from an attack from Dornish ships. Where am I? What happened? I looked up and saw a merchant approaching me. "Are you ok, my Lady?"
I blinked. "I don't know what happened. One moment I was on a ship heading for Winterfell and landed here."
The merchant spotted Feiro "I thought dragons were all gone. Lord Stark will want to hear this."
I looked up at him. "Lord Stark." I staggered to my feet leaning against Ferio who had woken up and stood between me and the merchant.
"You know Lord Stark child?" He raised an eyebrow standing back from Ferio.
I shake my head. "No, sir. My father did. He spoke highly of him." I handed the merchant a letter my father wrote to Lord Stark. Lord Stark, this is the last letter that I will write to you. I write to you with the hope that you will take care of my daughter, Katherine, and her dragon Feiro. I understand that we have not always fought on the same side yet I fear that the day has come that I may not see either one of them again. I know we have talked about having a wedding between our two Houses. Yours truly, Lord Jason or House Drakeion.
The merchant took the letter and rode to Winterfell allowing me and Ferio to find food and rest. When he arrived he entered the main hall of the fortress. "A letter for Lord Stark."
A young Ned Stark rose from the table. "Bring it forward."
The merchant nodded and handed the letter to him.
Ned saw the sigial of House Drakeion. A Black Rider and a Dragon on a red field. He broke the seal and read my father's words. He sighed. "Jason, your daughter will be most welcome here." He looked at the merchant. "Where is the young girl?"
"White Harbor my Lord. She was shipwrecked on our shores and doesn't seem to know what happened. We saw dead bodies of soldiers."
Ned nodded and gathered his guard to bring me and Feiro to Winterfell
