Chapter 67: Holy Blood Angel Aleister

"It's quite sturdy."

Aleister remarked with some surprise, "What a piano wire trap..."

Aiwass shook his head, "No, not quite... Nearly a quarter have already been broken. Their energy level is too low; it's completely broken by physical impact. In a fight of equal level, these could only entangle a few times, at most."

"So... research failure?"

"I'll try something else."

While Aiwass and Aleister were chatting, the Sons of the Moon, who dared not approach, shot magical bullets at them.

This was a probing shot—but it was clear that their accuracy was not very good. About twenty magic bullets came towards them, but even if Aiwass and Aleister didn't dodge, only five or six would hit. The rest missed completely—or one could say they were blocking movement.

Without even moving his fingers, Aiwass conjured a wall of Blood Qi in front of him. The blood sphere beside him immediately halved in volume.

It swallowed almost all the magic bullets, which entered from one side, splashed with some blood flowers, and then disappeared without exiting the other side. Instead, the wall grew several inches larger. Tremendously misaligned, two bullets easily shattered the walls on both sides.

"These structures have been protected by Preservation Arts... this attack is roughly of Third Level. This move is quite useful as a defense."

Aiwass said while flicking his fingers, sending the static blood wall hurtling toward the Sons of the Moon.

It started off slowly but quickly accelerated—in an instant, it caught several Sons of the Moon who couldn't dodge in time, sticking them to the opposite wall like a spider's web, rapidly draining their blood!

"Needs to be diluted; otherwise, there's not enough blood."

Aiwass commented, "It can be diluted tenfold, meaning..."

As Aiwass spoke, the blood sphere shot out a thin line again.

The tip was a flexible blood ball, swiftly bouncing and weaving between the walls. An unfortunate Son of the Moon stood directly in its path, was instantly pierced and drained dry. Meanwhile, the blood sphere continued bouncing, searching for more liquid.

Aiwass closed his eyes.

Every time the blood sphere hit the wall, he could sense its precise location. Even without looking, he could mentally construct a simple 3D space.

"Found it."

In about three seconds, Aiwass located some usable liquid.

It was the red wine from the banquet.

Under Aiwass's mental control, it pierced through rows of wine barrels, draining them instantly. The thin line behind the sphere thickened in an instant and returned to its origin, draining two more Sons of the Moon along the way while bringing back a massive amount of liquid to Aiwass.

By now, the blood sphere trailing behind Aiwass had split into three, each the size of a watermelon. Its volume had increased six or seven times from the start.

Aiwass summoned more blood —

One of the blood spheres flying behind fell to the ground, transforming into over thirty shark-fin-like blades that whooshed across the floor—magnifying several times upon nearing the Sons of the Moon, slicing them vertically in half!

As their bodies split, they were instantly drained of blood, turning into grey stone statues.

...

One by one, the kill notifications rang out, but overall, the number was significantly less than the Sons of the Moon they saw. This meant that among this batch of Sons of the Moon, at least two-thirds were below the Third Level.

"Now I understand, these Sons of the Moon are like worms."

Aiwass remarked, "If you cut them horizontally, even a head or half a body can survive. But if you cut them vertically, they surely die..."

"Mainly because the bleeding doesn't stop,"

Aleister said with a smile, "How did you like my skill?"

"Not bad."

Aiwass sincerely replied, "Very flexible, very useful... The testing is about done. Let's check the banquet hall... then you wrap it up."

Aleister, as the Holy Blood Angel, possessed a special divine form just as noble but different from the "Perfect Human." It also held an absolute suppressive rank over ordinary Sons of the Moon.

"Sure~ thing~"

Aleister drawled, stepping through the river of blood alongside Aiwass, advancing until they reached the center of the banquet.

There weren't many Sons of the Moon here anymore... Except for some newly transformed "Moon Child Babies" with energy levels too low, others were ordinary humans trembling in fear.

This was completely different from the mesmerizing atmosphere of the Star Antimony's Son of the Moon banquet—

Some were bound to stone pillars, their bodies sliced with knives and drenched in blood, yet still alive;

Some had their limbs chopped off, and, wearing a dog's muzzle, were caged with vicious dogs several times their size;

Others had their spines pierced by iron hooks, letting out feeble wails;

A few had their limbs severed and were suspended in the air with iron hooks in their mouths...

Most striking was a young human with eyes and ears cut off, sitting trembling on the "Golden Throne" with a crown, his hands tied to the armrests, which acted like blade-filled juicers, randomly squeezing out blood filled with terror to flow into the golden cup.

"Look, Aiwass! This should be the 'King's Blood Wine' ritual, using the blood of terror from those with ruler's lineage as material. It's a Transcendence ritual that can increase the level of a Son of the Moon!"

Aleister sat down on the table in front of him, picking up the most luxurious golden cup, seemingly ready to pour it into her mouth.

Under the envious gaze of the surrounding Sons of the Moon, she casually shook the cup and dumped its contents outside like trash.

The blood dripped along the edge of the cup, down Aleister's arm, across her thigh, and finally to her bright red toenails.

"Why didn't you stop me?"

Aleister said coquettishly to Aiwass.

"Because we have a cleanliness fetish; this kind of blood is contemptuous to drink..."

Aiwass spoke nonchalantly while gazing around with indifferent eyes.

His crimson pupils gradually ignited a chilling rage.

"The plan has changed, Aleister..."

Aiwass said softly, "Do you remember where we need to go now?"

"Orleans' Castle?"

Aleister pondered for a moment, then confirmed earnestly, "I feel like I got it right this time."

"No, wrong."

Aiwass interrupted, "We have to visit another Son of the Moon's residence. Time is limited, we must hurry."

"Angry, huh? I understand... There should still be ample time."

Aleister, seeing Aiwass's reaction, said with a smile, "The projection of 'Holy Blood Angel Aleister' does have a range limit... but Aleister does not. As for my current form, I'm in a travel state... like a little raven, or a Phantom Steed.

"——I know what you want to do, after all, we are the same person. I'm actually... pretty angry, too. Although I've heard of it, this is the first time seeing...

"What you are not suited to do, I will do; who you are not suited to kill, I will kill..."

As she spoke, the two buds on Aleister's back bloomed again.

"... This is your West Factory?" Aiwass quipped.

"Ah, annoying!"

Aleister retorted in exasperation.

The next moment, countless slender vines stabbed, crawled, and spread—the whole building's Sons of the Moon were targeted and pierced.

No matter where they hid, they were caught by those crimson, scorpion tail-like spikes, without a shred of resistance.

——Sons of the Moon who feed on humans, while the Blood Angel feeds on Sons of the Moon.

In just a few breaths, Aleister retracted the vines back to her shoulders.

And all those Sons of the Moon had already been drained into statues.

Aleister waved her hand, walked to the window, and revealed a cute smile, "Please treat them here; as for this minor matter of extermination... I'll be right back.

"——We'll meet at the entrance of Orleans' Castle!"

With that, Aleister's Blood Wings fully unfurled. They were fierce, predatory tendrils like a carnivorous plant... and also splendidly beautiful, Crystal Red Wings made of Ruby.

Then Aleister abruptly vanished.
