Chapter 735: 672 "Enchanting Demon City
Enchanting Demon Domain.
As the central region of the Enchanting Demon Territory, this place might not be the most bustling, but it was the most powerful.
The reason was simple: too many strong races that resided within the Enchanting Demon Territory had chosen to station here.
Here there were numerous strong individuals, many standpoints, a multitude of forces, and copious conflicts.
Unlike the outlying area of the Chaos Demon Domain, the Enchanting Demon Domain had many elements that drew others here, resulting in a sky filled with formidable beings.
Naturally, when the strong met the strong, what ensued were incredibly fierce battles.
While it might not have been as chaotic as the Ghost Demon Territory and Poison Demon Territory, it ultimately promoted a world where the law of the jungle prevailed; the fierce struggles between clans were omnipresent, both overtly and covertly.
It could be said that for a weak peripheral race like the Sand Scale Clan, whose Clan Leader was not even Level Eighty, survival in the Enchanting Demon Domain was impossible.
Here, even the weakest races had to be backed by dozens of Upper-level Demon Clan members in order to hold any status or gain access to any resources.
Here, there were even several races that possessed Legendary-level powerhouses.
Especially the Stone Woman Clan, reputed as the strongest race of the Enchanting Demon Territory, which boasted three Legendary-level powerhouses. Even outside the Enchanting Demon Territory, they were well-poised to rule supreme.
Of course, even the most formidable races did not dare to cause too much chaos within the Enchanting Demon Domain.
Because, in addition to being the center of the Enchanting Demon Territory, it was also the residence of the territory's lord.
Enchanting Demon, Chafne.
The second daughter of the Six Great Demons, a demonic presence with beauty that eclipsed the world.
Her power was unmatched, and apart from a few individuals throughout the Three Realms, none dared claim to be her equal.
Her appearance was celebrated for ages, deemed the numero uno beauty of the entire Omni Potanssen; even the countless Goddesses of the Divine Race and the myriad enchantresses of the Demon Clan could not compare.
Once, an emperor willingly offered his nation to meriting her smile.
There were heroes who, to express their devotion, willingly betrayed their races, shouldered infamy, and waged her battles.
She was a being who, in the truest sense, could cause the downfall of countries and wreak havoc upon the people, sending countless men and even women into complete frenzy.
Ironically, she who owned all this disdained it all.
The nations offered by emperors were carelessly cast aside.
The battles waged and the infamy borne by heroes for her sake went unnoticed.
For countless eons, few things could grab her attention, while the things that did piqued her interest were endless.
Several heroes, upon encountering this Enchanting Demon, succumbed to intoxication, became utterly ineffectual, sullen, and without leaving much by way of achievements, departed from the world.
Many regarded the Dragon Demon as ferocious, having slain two heroes, truly terrifying.
But those in the know were aware that it was this Enchanting Demon who posed the greatest danger to the heroes.
Her beauty and allure were such that not even heroes could resist.
If she wished, not just the Enchanting Demon Territory but all the races of the Demon Realm would willingly offer everything to her.
Such was the domain overseen by this Demon, where despite intense competition, none dared to be excessively unbridled.
The major clans of the Enchanting Demon Domain had even set up several agreements to avoid disturbing the Enchanting Demon Lord's peace and affecting her mood. It was quite some time ago that they had pledged to adhere to these rules together; should anyone break them, the other clans would unite to expel the transgressor from the Enchanting Demon Domain.
This demonstrated the extent of the Enchanting Demon's prestige and influence within the Enchanting Demon Domain, or rather, the entire Enchanting Demon Territory.
However, this relatively stable situation would soon be utterly disrupted.
All because on this day, a person arrived in the Enchanting Demon Domain.
"Enchanting Demon City is just ahead."
Above the heads of a group of large Flying Series demons, Shajina said to Shane beside her.
A flock of colossal Flying Series demons was flying in one direction, while with ropes they towed cages containing demons, carrying a group from the Sand Scale Clan, occasionally emitting strange cries.
"Enchanting Demon City..."
Shane murmured, casting his gaze.
The next second, Shane saw a city.
It was the first city Shane had encountered since arriving in the Demon Realm.
The city appeared to be a massive castle.
Within the castle were numerous buildings.
The buildings varied in height and size and were not uniform; even the architectural styles differed greatly, as if customs from various regions had been mixed together. Though it should have seemed disorderly and out of place, for some reason, it exuded a singular beauty.
Over the last few days, Shane had learned much about the city from Shajina.
"So, that's the capital of the Enchanting Demon Domain, the residence of the Enchanting Demon, and also the heart of the entire Enchanting Demon Territory, which gathers the most formidable races, known as 'the City of a Hundred Races Coexisting,' Enchanting Demon City?"
Shane murmured to himself.
Beside him, Shajina nodded in confirmation.
"Enchanting Demon City is the only place in the Enchanting Demon Territory where private fights are prohibited, so although there are many races, no one dares to engage in senseless battles there."
Shajina explained it this way.
"Because the Enchanting Demon Lord is in charge, no matter how much enmity there is between groups, once they arrive here, they can't take action, thus a great many facilities and industries have gathered here."
Thanks to this, tribes like the Sand Scale Clan would send people with a large amount of goods to trade and do business here at a fixed time.
Without a place like Enchanting Demon City, trade simply wouldn't be possible, let alone the circulation of various materials.
Places like the Ghost Demon Territory, Poison Demon Territory, and even the Beast Demon Territory do not have a place for various tribes to engage in fair trade and commerce.
In those three territories, business is generally conducted between one tribe and another.
The Dragon Demon Territory is an exception, because the Dragon Race is revered, and other tribes are mostly vassals of the Dragon Race, often with some blood connection, so there is little need for business and trade. Bartering is common there, and the Dragon Race frequently distributes resources to other tribes, creating an unexpectedly peaceful atmosphere not found elsewhere.
Meanwhile, the Moon Demon Territory is almost no different from the Human Realm, with various cities and commercial trades making it undoubtedly the most prosperous territory in the Demon Realm.
The Enchanting Demon Territory is somewhere in the middle, neither as peaceful as the Moon Demon Territory and the Dragon Demon Territory, nor as chaotic as the Ghost Demon Territory and the Poison Demon Territory. Although there are various struggles, there are also places that are peaceful and secure.
Enchanting Demon City is the only place in the Enchanting Demon Territory where one need not worry about conflict and can live in peace.
"That place is a sought-after sanctuary for many weak and also powerful tribes; to settle there would mean enjoying thousands of years of peace."
Shajina's eyes, filled with longing, fixated on Enchanting Demon City.
"Unfortunately, to settle in Enchanting Demon City, one must meet those three conditions, which for us, the Sand Scale Clan, are just too difficult."
Shajina had already spoken to Shane about the conditions for settlement.
Allegedly, to become a resident of Enchanting Demon City, one must meet any one of the three conditions.
One: Obtain permission from the Enchanting Demon Lord, who is the Lord of the territory.
Two: Secure recommendations from more than three large tribes within Enchanting Demon City.
Three: Have a hundred Upper-Level Demons within the tribe, which would allow them to settle on their own.
Fulfilling any one of these conditions would allow any tribe, no matter where they came from, to settle in Enchanting Demon City.
Regrettably, the Sand Scale Clan was unable to meet any of these conditions.
To obtain permission from the Enchanting Demon Lord, who was rarely seen, was an extremely difficult task.
A weak tribe like the Sand Scale Clan obviously didn't have the connections to get recommendations from over three large tribes.
The idea of having a hundred Upper-Level Demons was laughable; any tribe with that level of strength would be impossible for any large tribe to ignore.
The Sand Scale Clan's only Upper-Level Demon was Sharyon, the Clan Leader, at least that was the case publicly, making it impossible to fulfill this condition no matter what.
"Of course, should a Legendary being be willing to vouch for us, then surely, more than three large tribes within Enchanting Demon City would be happy to show their respect to this strong individual and provide a recommendation for an insignificant and weak tribe?"
Shajina said this, while casually glancing at Shane.
Shane couldn't help but roll his eyes.
How could he not understand what Shajina was implying?
However, it was completely unrealistic.
"After all, I am human, not a Demon. Even if I have Legendary-level strength, that doesn't necessarily mean that powerful tribes would be willing to show me respect, does it?"
Shane said this.
"Indeed."
Shajina understood this as well and didn't really harbor such hopes.
What Shajina didn't know was that the man beside her was not comparable to ordinary Legendary beings.
In terms of strength, he might not be able to truly rival those at the Transcend Level, but he was much stronger than those at the Limit Level.
Regarding connections, he was not without support in the Demon Realm.
The three difficult conditions Shajina saw were in fact, aside from the last one, which Shane could not help with, the other two were something Shane could fulfill for the Sand Scale Clan.
Although, it was still too early to discuss such things.
The large Sand Scale Clan's party flew across the sky and finally arrived at the Enchanting Demon City.
"Descend!"
Shajina immediately ordered, directing all the members of the Sand Scale Clan to lower themselves towards the city gate with their Flying Series Demons.
Flying into Enchanting Demon City without permission was forbidden; entry had to be through the city gates.
Naturally, Shajina did not let the presence of Shane lead her to arrogantly believe they did not need to follow this rule, and so she commanded the impressive troop to descend.
It wasn't a particularly eye-catching spectacle.
Apart from the Sand Scale Clan, many other tribes drawn by the city's reputation did the same, stopping in front of the gates.
Shane did not care about this and prepared to enter the city unobtrusively.
However...
"Hm?"
Suddenly, Shane felt something unusual.
