Winning the male lead

Chapter 60 - Campus life is fun (8)

When other children were playing with building blocks, Legos, and toy cars, Jiang Yue never joined them. He was always the one standing quietly on the sidelines, watching.

Everyone assumed his aloof nature stemmed from losing his mother at an early age, but only he knew the truth.

The reason he kept his distance wasn’t because of loneliness—it was because everything in life came too easily to him. Without a challenge, there was no enjoyment.

Jiang Qu always liked competing with him, but he never paid him any mind. There was no fun in racing against someone who could never win.

The person standing in front of him now seemed ordinary. But for some reason, Jiang Yue suddenly found himself interested.

His backside was quite nice—softer than expected, and it looked like it would bruise easily.

He lowered his eyelashes and glanced down at the white stain on his black trousers. “You got me dirty.”

Le Tian wanted to argue, You were the one standing so close! It wasn’t on purpose! But under Jiang Yue’s gaze, his face flushed, and his voice trembled with a hint of a sob. “I-I’m sorry…”

“Did it feel good?” Jiang Yue suddenly asked.

Le Tian’s eyes widened in shock. Bro, don’t you already know the answer? You’re a grown man!

His expression must have been too obvious because Jiang Yue—an expert at reading people—saw straight through him. Casually, he said, “No.”

Le Tian was even more stunned. Wait, so you’re like this because… you’re actually incapable?

His mind wandered back to his past life. Back when I was a eunuch, I was kinda twisted too. I get it, bro. For the first time, his gaze toward Jiang Yue carried a trace of sympathy.

Jiang Yue caught the look. He chuckled—lips curving into a smile, but his eyes remained cold as ever. “Go wash up?”

It was phrased as a question, but Le Tian instinctively felt like he needed to get his approval. And Jiang Yue… just watched him.

Great. This freak is entering the ‘Guess What I’m Thinking’ phase, Le Tian thought. I used to be a eunuch. I understand.

So, taking a gamble, he answered, “Okay.”

Jiang Yue nodded in satisfaction and stood up.

Le Tian eyed him suspiciously.

Jiang Yue pointed at his stained uniform trousers. “Together.”

Of all things, Le Tian never expected to share a shower with him instead of Jiang Qu.

As they undressed, Le Tian realized that Jiang Yue was the perfect example of someone who looked slim in clothes but was surprisingly built underneath. As he removed his shirt, his muscles shifted smoothly, each contour defined yet not excessive—like the elegant strokes of a painting. Strong. Beautiful.

He muttered under his breath, “…I feel like he could punch me to death in one hit.”

The system, which had remained somewhat calm due to Jiang Yue’s lack of overt aggression, warned him, “Don’t touch him, don’t stare too much. He might hit you.”

As if! Le Tian scoffed internally. The guy can’t even get it up. Why would I make trouble for myself?

To him, eunuchs didn’t really count as “men.” So, after a brief moment of silent appreciation for Jiang Yue’s physique, he simply refocused on his own shower. He had spent the entire night lying on a bed—getting clean was a welcome relief.

Water cascaded down as they stood side by side in the not-too-small, not-too-big dorm shower. Le Tian, being slightly smaller, fit just right. Holding onto the shower rack, he carefully wet himself, making sure to avoid his injuries.

Suddenly, he felt something brush against him from behind.

Turning his head, he saw…

Oh. So that’s why he called me ‘small.’

Too bad it’s big but completely useless. No reaction whatsoever.

He clenched his fists in frustration. Mom, if I get a next life, I don’t ask for much—just give me a big one!

System: “…Okay, fine. Just hurry up and wash.”

Le Tian added, “Oh, and make sure mine actually works. Unlike his.”

System: “…You keep making demands, and you’ll end up with nothing.”

Le Tian wisely shut up and focused on showering.

Jiang Yue ran his fingers through his wet hair, then looked down at Le Tian’s back.

The shape was exquisite, round like a perfectly ripe peach. Because of the injury, the skin had an inflamed red hue, and under the water, the edges softened into a delicate pink.

His gaze shifted slightly to the left side—there was a faint handprint, nearly invisible. If he weren’t so observant, he might have missed it entirely.

Suddenly, Le Tian felt something press against his skin. Startled, he turned around—

Jiang Yue’s large hand was gripping him. His face remained utterly unreadable as he asked, “Who pinched you?”

Le Tian was stunned. He followed Jiang Yue’s line of sight and finally noticed the faint mark on his left cheek. It must have been from when the system convinced him to pinch himself earlier. Back then, it hadn’t seemed obvious, but now, after time and the heat from the shower, the imprint had darkened.

His voice trembled. “I… I did it myself.”

Jiang Yue responded by giving it a light squeeze. The soft flesh yielded easily between his fingers.

“Hm. Feels nice.”

Le Tian wanted to cry. Bro, I wasn’t playing around—it was the system’s fault!

System: “…What does this have to do with me?!”

Jiang Yue seemed genuinely entertained, idly molding the soft flesh into different shapes. Le Tian went from embarrassed to completely resigned within seconds.

Forget it. The guy can’t even get it up. I’ll just pretend I’m a stress ball.

But while Jiang Yue had no reaction, Le Tian did.

The sensation of being touched slowly spread through his nerves. He bit his lip, his voice growing hoarse. “S-Stop messing around…”

Jiang Yue glanced up. From the back, Le Tian’s neck and ears were completely flushed—his pale skin turning a deep, embarrassed red.

Jiang Yue noted that his skin was incredibly sensitive. Just a little warmth, just a little touch, and he blushed like a freshly boiled shrimp.

He smirked.

Le Tian shivered.

Mom… I want a refund on this life.

Suddenly, Jiang Yue pulled him into an embrace, his broad chest pressing against Le Tian’s back. A hand slid forward, exploring.

Le Tian: …Brother, just because you don’t react doesn’t mean you can mess with me!

The next few days, with Jiang Qu absent, Le Tian and Jiang Yue developed a strange routine—playing games together in a way that felt oddly like childhood friends.

Jiang Yue, usually composed, seemed like a teenager discovering everything for the first time. He was highly intelligent, picking things up almost instantly, even improving upon them.

Late at night, in the dim glow of the dorm, he wrapped an arm around Le Tian, his hand wandering under the covers. Le Tian whimpered, his body reacting to the touch. Jiang Yue’s expression remained indifferent—only his increasing responses proved he wasn’t entirely emotionless.

Jiang Yue exhaled near his neck. “Strawberry scent.”

For the first time, Le Tian impulsively turned his head and kissed Jiang Yue’s nose.

Jiang Yue’s gaze remained impassive. “Why?”

Le Tian, flushed, buried himself against Jiang Yue’s chest without answering.

Jiang Yue pinched his left cheek again. “Don’t kiss me when we’re doing this.”

Le Tian: …What?

Jiang Yue continued flatly, “It’s unnecessary.”

Le Tian: …

The realization hit him. Jiang Yue wasn’t emotionally invested at all—this was purely physical for him.

Le Tian’s heart sank. “System, I think I met a scumbag.”

The system sighed. “It was bound to happen eventually.”

Le Tian glared. “I won’t let my future daughter end up with a man like this! If anyone suffers, it’ll be me!”

The system: “…Good luck with that.”
