There were two different sides to the story and one side was clearly more shaky compared to the other side. That was because that side was filled with inconsistencies from them trying to cover up the truth of the matter.

That was the side of the Chaos Sect that Huo Mu Chen was a part of.

They kept trying to keep the truth from Lin Fan by mixing in different lies, which made it clear that they didn't want him knowing the truth.

The story that those from the All Time Sect gave him was consistent on one thing, they didn't want him to revive them so they could remain in this place as the seal for the immortal artifact.

It was clear how they acted that the immortal artifact had a deep impression on them. Or rather it was better to say that the power of the immortal artifact had a deep impression on them.

They didn't want to release this thing back into the world at all.

The other things that were different was because of the different points of view that they had, so this was something that Lin Fan could overlook.

After gathering all of the information and stepping out of the final temple, Lin Fan first took a look at the loot that he had obtained from the two sides.

There were over fifty temples here and each one had a powerful expert sealed in it.

That meant that from each one, he was able to get a powerful artifact from them.

There were artifacts that were in the Nascent Soul Realm, the Soul Formation Realm, and even three artifacts in the Rebirth Realm.

Only these were only the state that these artifacts were in after many years of being sealed in this place. They hadn't been cared for and were worn down after being trapped for so many years.

They were in a state of wear and tear that made these artifacts weaker than they were at their peak.

So that meant that if they could be repaired, these Nascent Soul Realm Artifacts would reach the Soul Formation Realm, the Soul Formation Realm Artifacts would reach the Rebirth Realm, and the Rebirth Realm Artifacts would reach Transcendence Realm.

Both of these sects were sects that had Transcendence Realm Experts, that meant that they were sects that didn't lose to the Five Great Sects…

Just how powerful was that immortal artifact that it could cause these sects to fall like this?

Other than receiving artifacts from them, Lin Fan also received more information about this land under Death Valley.

This place was the place of the final battle and the place where the immortal artifact was sealed, so it wasn't just these temples that were here. There was a certain spot in the center of this place where the immortal artifact lay.

Lin Fan wanted to see if he could find any clues about the immortal artifact by seeing this spot.

After all, if he wanted to release the people from the Chaos Sect and All Time Sect that were here, he had to take care of the immortal artifact first.

To do that, he needed information on the immortal artifact.

Just the testimonies that the sealed members of the two sects was far from being enough.

Following the information that I mainly received from those in the All Time Sect, I was able to find the place that the immortal artifact was sealed in.

I knew this was the right place because this was the only place in this land that wasn't filled with death energy.

There was this life energy that seeped out of the ground that stopped all the surrounding death energy from approaching, creating a small haven in this land of death.

There were some plants that grew there and some living beings that lived in this place, but it didn't seem like they were that powerful. The aura that they gave off was completely different from anything else that was here.

It was almost as if they were so harmless that they wouldn't be able to harm a fly.

That was because they couldn't.

Just like how there were creatures that had been mutated by the death energy that was released, there were also creatures that were mutated by the life energy that was released.

These beings evolved in a way where they couldn't pose a threat to anyone.

That was why they didn't even have the ability to attack anything.

Though when Lin Fan looked at them closely, he could see that there was another ability that they possessed.

Healing.

When he used his Appraisal Eyes, he found from the description of the things that he found here that they all had some kind of healing ability. Whether it was the healing properties of the plants or the healing abilities of the animals, they were all capable of using life energy to heal.

There was even some pure life intent coming from some of the plants and animals that were here.

This place really was a place of two extremes.

Surrounded by this land of death, there was actually this single spot that was filled with life.

It really was a strange kind of irony.

Only Lin Fan didn't find it that funny.

He couldn't help frowning since he could tell that only a very powerful artifact would be able to do something like this. For there to be this kind of divide in this place, even though this was just the residual energy that came from the immortal artifact when it was sealed, that was still more than enough to prove how strong it was.

He had to deal with this immortal artifact before releasing the seal on the people that were trapped in the temple…

If he could deal with this immortal artifact, then he wouldn't have a problem dealing with those people from the All Time Sect and the Chaos Sect.

It was just that he didn't have a way to deal with it at all.

"Aura of an Earth Immortal Artifact detected."

This was a voice that caught Lin Fan completely off guard since he didn't expect to hear this voice.

It was a voice that he hadn't heard in a while since the owner of this voice had been offline with its upgrade.

It was the system's mechanical voice that suddenly rang out.

He hadn't paid attention to the progress of the upgrade since he had been focused on other things, but now that the system spoke up, it was hard for him to ignore the system.

"Earth Immortal Artifact? What do you mean by that?" Lin Fan asked the system.

The system didn't respond at first, but then it said, "It's an artifact that was created with the power of an Earth Immortal."

A bitter smile appeared on Lin Fan's face when he heard this as he didn't know if the system was just messing with him or if this was a serious answer. But in the end, he just decided to ignore it and continue questioning the system.

"Then do you know what artifact it is specifically?"

The system was silent for a bit before saying, "No."

Lin Fan couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed until the system said, "That was in the past. This system has upgraded sensors and can indeed tell what this Earth Immortal Artifact is."

"Well, then tell me!" Lin Fan said in an impatient voice.

"It's a Cauldron of Life and Death." The system said before showing the information about this Cauldron of Life and Death to Lin Fan.

The problem was that the information that the system showed him was minimal.

It just gave him a basic description of this immortal artifact and nothing else.

"Is that it?" Lin Fan asked.

"Host, please work hard to upgrade the system." The system replied without any emotions.

Lin Fan shook his head with a bitter smile, but he didn't complain since the system had already surprised him with this upgrade. He should even feel grateful that the system was able to give him this information.

But there was still something that he had to ask the system.

"Do you have a way of taking care of this Cauldron of Life and Death? Can you subdue it or can you absorb it?" Lin Fan asked the system in a serious voice.

The system didn't respond right away, but after a pause, the system said, "No…The system cannot do that currently. Host, please work hard to upgrade the system."

Lin Fan was pleasantly surprised since he had been expecting a straight rejection, but it seemed that the system was much greater than he thought.

"Host, you do not have the permission to receive this knowledge." The system shut Lin Fan down without any hesitation that made another bitter smile appear on his lips.

But in the end, Lin Fan just gave a calm and simple nod in response before turning around to leave.

Since that was the case, there was nothing that he could do.

It wasn't as if these things were going anywhere, so there was no reason for him to rush with this matter.

At least he knew that this immortal artifact would be sealed for some time, so he didn't have to worry about it breaking out and hurting the people he cared about.

As long as he had the time, he was confident that he would find a way to deal with it.

After all, he had a cheat that no one else had in this world.
