Chapter 1062: Make Sure To Save Her As Well, Okay?

Six weeks had passed since Ethan and Chloe returned to the academy.

And in that span of time, the Firbolgs had already visited all the Leaders of the various factions of the Shire Continent and had agreed to enter a Trade and Defensive Alliance with them.

Ethan never thought he'd actually miss attending his classes after experiencing multiple life and death battles that no ordinary student of the academy would ever experience in their lifetime.

Perhaps, deep inside, he also longed for some peace and quiet.

After gaining the authority of the Realm of Arkanthos, Ethan had gained a higher connection with the world and learned of secrets that were only available to the Guardians of their respective realms.

Perhaps this was also why Ethan cherished these peaceful moments-he knew that war was just over the horizon.

He even received a direct message from Zorathul during one of his wanderings in the Astral Plane.

The Gargoyle Progenitor told him that he would pay dearly for taking what belonged to him.

It wasn't hard for the young man to tell that the former owner of the Realm of Arkanthos was incredibly serious, and the latter was likely working on something behind the scenes to make Ethan suffer.

While the world was still at peace, Ethan also visited Chloe's parents to formally ask her hand for marriage.

Of course, their marriage would have to wait until the young lady had graduated from the academy, but this time, Chloe's Father, Soren, finally gave his blessings.

Ethan also visited Luna's, Lilian's and Samantha's families and also formally asked that they bless his future marriage to their daughters.

Fortunately, all of them also approved of Ethan, including King Austen, who understood Lilian's determination.

With his in-laws all supporting him, only Emma and Lilith were left.

Since he couldn't really go to Caer Wydion at the moment, he decided to write a letter to Emma's and Lilith's parents, asking for their daughter's hands in marriage.

Technically, this was already a done deal. To begin with, Emma was his Promised One, while Lilith already received the blessing of Enzo, the current Patriarch of the Orpheus Clan.

However, he still promised to visit them in the future once he was certain that there were no longer any threats to the Shire Continent.

And just as Ethan was thinking that he should go and visit his Grandparents at the countryside, Professor Rinehart declared a four-day-long rest day for the students, allowing them to do whatever they wanted.

This included returning home to visit their parents.

Naturally, Ethan didn't let this opportunity slide. He invited his sister and lovers to meet his Grandparents and stay with the old couple for a few days.

Two Days after Ethan returned to his grandparents' house...

The young man looked at his Grandma, whose smile never left her face.

For some reason, he felt as if his Grandma Agnes had gotten ten years younger after being surrounded by Ethan's future wives, who were more than happy to help her with the housework.

The cleaning and cooking inside the house was done by the girls, which gave Agnes plenty of time to rest and admire her future granddaughter-in-laws.

Suddenly, a raven entered the house through the window and landed on top of the table.

"Daisy," Ethan looked at the Raven with surprise before hurriedly taking out the letter inside the cylinder hanging on its leg.

Daisy was Lily's Raven. Ever since her return to Southshire, she always made sure to write Ethan letters, which Ethan replied to in kind.

Reading her letters had become his favorite pastime because he missed his wife terribly.

"Go and read your letter," Illumina said before placing a bowl of water and some biscuits on top of the table, so the Raven could drink and eat. "I'll take it from here."

"Thank you," Ethan replied, planting a kiss on the Mermaid Princess's cheek before heading upstairs to read the letter that had just been delivered to him.

His other lovers exchanged knowing glances and didn't bother Ethan, allowing him to take his time to read the message that had come from his first wife.

A faint breeze flew past Ethan as he sat on the balcony of his room.

His gaze was focused on what he was reading, and a faint smile hung on his lips.

"I miss you, My Love."

Those were the first words Ethan saw as soon as he opened the letter, and it made him feel something warm spreading inside his chest.

"I have been well. In fact, I've been treated too well by my family, as well as your mother, Lady Catherine. She had so many stories to tell, especially the battles in the Land of Saraqael. "My brothers and sisters, who heard her tales, have begun training harder so that one day, they can also help protect our world from those who wish to destroy or conquer it.

Oh, I almost forgot. My belly has gotten a bit bigger since I am already in my 23rd week of pregnancy. I can't believe that so much time has already passed. However, the gestation period of Beastkins lasts twelve months.

"But since I'm only half Beastkin, Father believes that I might give birth in my tenth or eleventh month. Also, after the Shaman of our Clan checked my condition, she learned something quite interesting.

"I don't plan on telling you anything right now because I want to make it a surprise. The school year is also almost over, so I will probably give birth once you and the others start your

vacation.

"Make sure to come here, so you will be present when it comes time for me to give birth. I miss you terribly, and although I feel envious of my sisters for monopolizing you at this time, I hope that you will care for and love them, just as much as you care for and love me." Ethan nodded as if he was replying to Lily's words before continuing to read the letter. "Something happened a week ago. Two adorable girls suddenly visited me and started to call me mother-in-law. The two of them were twins, and they go by the names Maple and Cinnamon.

"Do you know? Both of them are Half-Dwarves. They are so cute and lively, and I'm unable to stop myself from kissing their chubby cheeks. They have been a near constant company for me, making my days a lot happier.

"When I asked them where they came from, they simply pointed at the sky and told me that they came from a place very far from here. At first, I was very worried because my Father had asked his subordinates to search for their parents, but couldn't find any clues. "Although I am still worried because we cannot find their parents, the two of them stated that their Grandpa would come to find them sooner or later. This made me and my family less anxious, and we've come to the decision to let them stay in our home for the time being.

"My Love, I wish you could see them too. They are such a joy to be with. Though if I were just to point out one flaw in their character, it would be their eating habits. Both of them eat more than my Father, making me wonder if Half-Dwarves are gluttons by default."

Ethan smiled faintly because he could feel Lily's emotions as he wrote the part about Maple

and Cinnamon.

Truth be told, he didn't really have any preferences whether his children would be boys or girls. He only wanted them to be born healthy, so they could grow big and strong. "Before I end my letter, I just want you to know that I have been exchanging letters with my sisters to keep me in the know about Nicole's condition. You already have my blessing, so make sure to save her as well, okay?"

Ethan's eyes softened as he kissed the letter in his hands.

He then read it a second time before carefully storing it inside his storage ring.

'It's my turn to write back,' Ethan thought as he produced a paper and pen, so that he could start writing his reply.

He also had many things to say to Lily, especially about the things that happened during the

past week.

At that exact same time, somewhere in Brynhildr Academy, Nicole slowly opened her eyes. She had been sleeping for a long time in order to recover the strength of her soul.

'Are you feeling better?' Baradiel, who had allowed Nicole to take control of her body, asked from within her Sea of Consciousness.

'Yes,' Nicole replied. 'My body feels heavy right now, but I'm sure that this feeling will go away after an hour or two. Is Ethan in the academy?'

'No,' Baradiel answered. 'He returned to his grandparents' house in the countryside. He'll

probably return after two days.'

Nicole pondered a bit before closing her eyes. 'Please wake me again in two days.'

And with that, she fell asleep once more and passed temporary control of her body to

Baradiel.

A moment later, a sigh escaped the Progenitor's lips as she opened her eyes.

She could still remember the talk that she had with Hecate, telling her about a second option

that would help Baradiel in more ways than one.

Still, she was undecided if doing this was the right thing or not.

However, aside from some discomfort, there were no actual downsides to the proposal of the

Progenitor of Magic.

The only thing that stopped Baradiel from committing to the plan was Nicole's input on the

matter.

Unless the two of them had a proper talk, she would not agree to Lady Hecate's proposal, even if it seemed to be the best option that she had right now.
