Chapter 1107  Your Defenses Weren’t Strong Enough

Seeing Ethan walk down the hallway of the palace, the members of the Protector Clans who were assigned to guard him immediately passed the news to Enzo using the magical artifacts in their possession.

Lilith was currently having a serious discussion with the head of her Clan, but upon hearing the report, she left the room in haste, making Enzo shake his head helplessly.

The beautiful Catkin had always been by Ethan’s side, keeping him safe.

She only left him because Enzo needed to discuss something important with her, and Samantha was there to take care of their lover.

Lilith regretted that she wasn’t the first person that her Master saw when he opened his eyes.

Still, now that he was awake, she no longer felt anxious and hurried to reunite with him as soon as possible.

After making a right turn, she finally saw the young man and lunged at him with her arms spread wide.

Ethan chuckled and caught Lilith, hugging his protector close to him.

Very happy to see Ethan, Lilith hugged and kissed her lover repeatedly, not holding back in the slightest.

Only after a minute had passed did she realize that she had been too overwhelmed with emotions to check if he was truly feeling better.

“I’m sorry,” Lilith said before cupping the young man’s face. “Are you hurt anywhere? Are you feeling fine?”

“I’m feeling fine,” Ethan replied. “But this place hurts a bit. A kiss might make it feel better.”

The young man pointed at his lips, making Lillith giggle. Still, since she didn’t want her lover to feel any pain, she made sure to kiss the part that needed to be kissed.

“Seriously… can the two of you not kiss in the hallway?” Chloe, who had also rushed towards Ethan’s room as soon as she heard that he had woken up, asked as she looked at the two with a pout.

Ethan smiled and reached out towards the young lady, whose hair was a bit disheveled due to her running as fast as she could.

All of Chloe’s complaints were silenced with Ethan’s kiss.

Although she tried to protest and resist at first, she soon melted in Ethan’s arms, and even took the initiative to kiss him back.

Soon, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed in the hallway as more people ran toward Ethan’s room.

However, they didn’t need to go that far because they saw him kissing Chloe and Lilith alternately while hugging them close to him.

“You just woke up and you’re already this lively, huh?” Joanne said in a teasing tone. “Brother, do you know how worried we were?”

Chloe and Lilith, who both finally remembered where they were, took a step back with beet-red faces.

Clearly, they were a bit embarrassed because they got carried away with making out with Ethan in the hallway. Of course, neither of them had any regrets whatsoever.

Ethan, on the other hand, approached his sister and gave her a hug. He then patted her head, prompting Joanne to bury her face in his chest, holding him tightly.

“I was very worried because you were not waking up,” Joanne said softly, making Ethan feel as if his heart was being scratched by a kitten.

“I’m sorry,” Ethan replied. “But I’m awake now. So, you don’t have to worry again, okay?”

“Un.”

“Good girl.”

The brother and sister hugged for nearly a minute before Joanne reluctantly took a step back and reached out to hold her best friend’s hand, pushing her closer to Ethan.

“Ramona was also very worried about you,” Joanne stated. “How do you plan to make up with her?”

Princess Ramona wanted to say that Ethan didn’t need to do anything, but before she could say that, Ethan sealed her lips with a kiss.

After that, he whispered something in her ear, which made the young lady’s face turn red as a tomato.

Joanne watched as her best friend shyly nodded before burying her face in Ethan’s chest.

The young man then gave his sister a wink, as if telling Joanne that he already got her best friend covered.

Illumina couldn’t help but giggle as she watched this scene. She then proceeded to give Lilian and Emma a light push on the back, prompting them to get closer to Ethan.

The young man, of course, happily reached out to hug and kiss his lovers, not caring that the members of the Protector Clans and the Ocean Races were watching his reunion with his lovers.

When Ethan’s gaze landed on Princess Wilhelmina, who was standing beside Illumina, he suddenly remembered the vision that he had before he fought the Ouroboros.

Perhaps due to this memory, he almost said, “Your defenses weren’t strong enough,” but managed to hold it back in time.

Whether that vision would actually come true or not, he would need to talk with Illumina first and ask for her opinion about it.

Those visions were only future possibilities, which meant that they weren’t set in stone.

However, he couldn’t help but remember the cute baby girl, whom Princess Wilhelmina was holding at that time.

When it was finally Illumina’s turn to get hugged and kissed by Ethan, his other lovers moved aside, allowing the two to have some intimate moments together.

After a few kisses, the Mermaid Princess told Ethan that he should meet with Lily as soon as possible because she was also very worried about his condition.

“I understand.” Ethan nodded. “I’ll go to her now.”

Ethan’s lovers exchanged glances with each other and decided to give Ethan and Lily some time alone together.

They knew that the young man took a risk in fully activating his Magical Circuits, as well as Bloodline powers, despite the fact that he would become the target of Progenitors.

If not for the fact that they managed to fend off the first wave of invasion, as well as counterattack the Akkadian Realm, more people might have joined in the attempt to capture Ethan.

Fortunately, the Ouroboros, Aion, successfully intimidated them by revealing a power that even the Progenitors couldn't do anything about.

Of course, the newly born Ouroboros was only able to make use of those powers in the beginning while he was still inside the body of the Will of the last Ouroboros, whom Ethan fought to gain the right to become his contracted Master.

In short, it was all a bluff, yet it worked wonders.

That show of strength was enough to make the other Progenitors hesitate to target Ethan again.

In fact, some of them were extremely fearful that Ethan would turn his attention to them, and order his Ouroboros to conquer their worlds, forcing them to bow their heads in defeat.

Ethan still needed to talk with Aion and Leviathan about their next course of action. But for now, he prioritized seeing his wife, whom he had only held for a brief period before he lost consciousness.
