World After Worlds

Chapter 363: § WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION §

"What?" Yanarym mumbled and blinked at her, his smile widened, and gave her a peck before tucking her hair on her ears. "You… what?" He chuckled hearing her sound so awestruck as she looked so surprised. As expected she was astonished by this news.

Lyndon smile grew wider; he leaned to her face and let his lips graze her lips.

"I said, Yam, I broke up with Tiana." He whispered to her but she remained dumbfounded.

Although she look stupid in her current countenance, she was still gorgeous and adorable. So adorable that he wanted to bite her cheeks until it bled.

"I figured it out, you are not tired of me, you are tired of your situation. You don't want to share me with her, is that correct? Then, let's be exclusive, I'm all yours. Just yours." Lyndon blurted as if he was talking about something so trivial.

But Yanarym was sure it was not that easy. He broke up with Tiana, the woman with whom he had such a strong obsession.

"Wait, wait… but Tiana is your girlfriend." She nudged to get out from his embrace and Lyndon set her free. He chuckled at her flustered expression, although he wanted to tease her a little more, he didn't want to prolong this chit-chat.

He's been restraining himself not to cause a commotion during the classes where Kraig was being extra intimate with Yanarym this morning and afternoon.

"Was. Was my girlfriend." She creased her brows, "You are now my girlfriend."

"But you like her a lot… " Yanarym murmured, bowing her head, looking away from his eyes.

"I like you more." Lyndon held her chin and gave a smooch to her lips. Her eyes gleamed with fondness as they locked on each other's eyes. Lyndon felt ecstatic, that was right, her affection belonged to him. Those eyes, her voice, her lips, her everything -- is his sole possession.

"... I don't know what to say." Lyndon closed his eyes as he skimmed his lips to her cheeks up to her forehead, whiffing her scent.

"In times like this, you can say how much you love me." She didn't say anything, he opened his eyes and saw how red her cheeks became. "Don't you love me? Why aren't you saying it?" Lyndon teased her and she immediately turned her head to face him.

"I do! I love you! But… c-can't I get a little nervous and shocked? This happened all of a sudden and it feels like it was not real. How can you like me more than Tiana? You like her a lot… and you didn't like me--" It was enough Lyndon smiled and coiled his arms to her small frame.

"Don't make me repeat myself." He was still smiling widely as he rested his chin on her head. "Now that you are my girlfriend, you can break up with Kraig. I don't like the idea of lending you to my mortal enemy." She stiffened, he felt her motion of dejection but he kept on embracing her body.

Lyndon sensed something that he perceived yesterday. He was overwhelmed with anger and covetousness for Yanarym that he thought he was imagining things. He felt that Yanarym---she had 'revived' her affection for Kraig---Because how could she not? She's been with Kraig for months, Kraig treats her nice, while he was not. She spent most of her time with Kraig. While he could only get to spend time with her once or twice a week.

He had those sentiments after being separated from her for two weeks.

When she opposed his injunction that she should end things between Kraig and her. His notion that she fell in love with Kraig again was verified. What else would be her reason for clinging to Kraig?

He tried to dismiss his ideas but how could it be dispersed if she kept on acting like this? How could she not comply with his command?

He was expecting her to be overjoyed and crying and would shower him with kisses. But her reaction was the contradiction from what he imagined.

Here she was startled by the expected announcement. Lyndon composed himself, he wouldn't reenact what he did to her yesterday. He vowed that the next time he would savor her in his bed where they would be overflowing with love for one another. Not feeling hatred or agonized or heartbroken.

"I did ask you to pretend to be his girlfriend, but I don't want you to do it anymore." Lyndon ran her silky hair through his fingers.

"Lyndon…" She whispered his name, but Lyndon wasn't delighted with her mellow voice. It was as if she was preparing herself to defy him… again. "I-I I think--"

"I broke up with Tiana for you, and I only asked you to be with Kraig because I don't want Kraig to take Tiana… but I don't care about her anymore. I want you now." He pulled back and stared at her in the eyes, creasing his brows in annoyance but he was trying his best to be patient. He smiled, faking his composure. "You can call me Yam too."

"I don't know… Lyndon." She nibbled her lips and played with her finger. The restless behavior and her distressed expression made him furious.

His smile faded, he slowly pushed her against the wall, caging her to his arms to retain her from escaping. Then, he held her chin, to look up at him. Her cheeks were still flushing and her lips were still parted as if she was having a hard time breathing. Her eyes were still dazzling with passion and a state of reverie.

"You told me you love me, right?" He leaned his face to hers, terminating the distance of their lips. She gasped and tried to look away but he held her tightly. "You love me, right? Right, Rym?" As his lips grazed on her lips whenever he spoke their breaths intertwined.

She didn't respond, or might he say, she couldn't respond. Lyndon could see how mesmerized and entranced she was with him. Every time she looked at him like this, he couldn't help but feel so appreciated. His anger was fading once more.

Lyndon stuck out his tongue and tasted her tempting mouth. He lavished her lower lip and closed his eyes to cherish the moment.

His arms that were extended found her body and embraced it tightly while his other hand remained on holding her chin. Her arms circled on his neck and she tiptoed to kiss him back. Lyndon was delighted. He took his time and didn't end their romance hastily, and when he was content he let her breathe. She loves him. He is certain that she loves him so much, if not, she was such a goddamn actress to pull out this stunt of love fool girl.

"What about Kraig?" She asked, Lyndon, frowned, he was just getting into his good mood, does she have to ruin it right away?

"Break up with him."

"Listen to me, Lyndon, he was planning something, he's doing something to hurt you. That's why I couldn't get a hold of you last break. Because I was keeping an eye on him." She said frantically without looking at him. "But then, when I was about to tell you yesterday, you ...and I ---" Lyndon turned deaf ears and shut her up by nipping her lips.

"Break up with him and I'll handle the rest, you don't have to worry about it anymore." He was about to kiss her again but she avoided his face causing him to kiss her cheeks instead of her lips. Then, she turned to him with convicted eyes.

"He will hurt you!" She creased her brows but that didn't make Lyndon give in.

"I said, don't worry about it. I will handle this."

"No, you can't do this alone. Kraig was not a simple student, he has connections!" She flouted at him, "He could ruin you and your family, Lyndon. I will not stand by!" She exclaimed, "I can't let that happen. He can't hurt you! I will protect you!"

Lyndon, who was staring at her, didn't know if he should be delighted or he should get angry. Sometimes, he misses the past where she was such a submissive woman. Anything he asked for, she would do it without asking him why.

However, after that field incident, she began defying him, even arguing her stance, debating with him until she proved him wrong. If she found it ridiculous, she would not do it and would have it her way without his permission.

Most of the time, he was amused by her, maybe that was the reason why he likes her now. He became fascinated by how confusing and unpredictable she was.

Nonetheless, there were still some when he despised this aspect of her. He wanted her to listen, he wanted her to understand his intention. But she would not listen at all, she would insist on her stance.

But as usual, he doesn't really know. He might have despised it yet he didn't truly hate it. Was it safe to say that there were just rare times that he could not distinguish if he did like it or not? And that 'rare' time was this moment.
