“Heh…” Ling Chongsheng couldn’t help but scoff, “Big brother, stop pretending. As things stand now, I’ve come to know the whole truth. Considering the lifetime I’ve spent working for you, tell me, why would you do this to us?”

Chu Zhongtian was taken aback and immediately his gaze turned furious, “What do you mean by that?!”

“What do I mean? The person who ordered Hen Fei to shoot at Han Yan, that wasn’t you?” Ling Chongsheng coldly retorted.

Once again, his words shocked everyone present!

What on earth is he talking about…

How has it now become that it was Chu Zhongtian who ordered it?

Somehow, everyone had a sense that something was amiss. The atmosphere in the conference room instantly solidified, and everybody felt an inexplicable tension.

Chu Zhongtian was at a loss for words for a good while.

He trembled as he pointed at Ling Chongsheng, his anger boiling over: “Are you doubting me? You actually doubt me! Ling Chongsheng, we are blood brothers, do you think I could do such a thing to you?!”

In one swift motion, Ling Chongsheng pulled out a handgun and pressed it hard against his temple. He looked as if he wished he could kill him on the spot!

Chu Zhongtian was shaken for a moment, the others stirred up in anxiety as well.

“Ling Chongsheng, what are you doing?” Chu Zhongtian locked eyes with him, his gaze ice cold, “Are you really going to kill me over these baseless accusations?”

“Baseless? Heh…” Ling Chongsheng let out a pained, cold laugh, “Whether my words are baseless or not, we both know the truth. Chu Zhongtian, how shall we settle this? And you all, tell me, how should one settle accounts when betrayed by his own brother?”

The others were left speechless by his question.

But they still tried to persuade him, “Big brother, perhaps it wasn’t Mr. Chu who did it. There might be some misunderstanding.”

“Big brother, you’re blood brothers, how could Mr. Chu possibly do this to you? There must be some mistake here.”

“Yeah, big brother, calm down, there definitely is some mistake!”

Chu Zhongtian also tried to calm him, “Chongsheng, take it easy. I understand how you feel, but it wasn’t me who did this. You can’t just hear Liao Hanyan’s side of the story and doubt me like this, I am your elder brother after all.”

“Well then, dare you prove your innocence?” Ling Chongsheng asked coldly.

Chu Zhongtian’s eyes flickered for a moment, then with seemingly candid openness he asked, “How shall I prove it?”

“Disband the Heavenly Sect!”

No sooner had he spoken than everyone was utterly dumbfounded.

As expected, Chu Zhongtian was the first to oppose, “How can the Heavenly Sect be disbanded! Your demand is ridiculous!”
