Zombie Apocalypse: Creation

Chapter 603: Convincing for IPO

"Think about it. She is going to get millions of dollars in funding from the IPO. She can hire an infinite number of engineers.

Do you guys really think you can compete by holding your little sandbox? Besides, going public doesn't mean you're losing your company.

You guys are still in charge... Let me tell you another secret: the regulation is going to favor the business over the investor heavily.

It's the best time to go public before regulations begin to catch up. And you don't want to be the ones who arrive late to the market."

The three of them fell into silence. Their faces were surprisingly calm, rather than what Xiaoyun expected of giving a rushed answer.

"Boss, we need some time to consider," Ivan murmured.

"Don't worry, you have all the days to consider before it finally opens by the end of the month. Just go to the bank and tell your intention."

Seeing the three of them nodding, Xiaoyun had accomplished the first part of his plan. But there was still a second part he needed to meet.

"One last thing, let me teach you how to boost your IPO. I learned this from the head of the bank manager himself."

All three of their ears instantly raised a little as if they wanted to make sure they heard every single detail.

"The more headlines you have on the news, the more people will see your company as the next Apple."

Xiaoyun paused for a second, then continued.

"And you know what will be the perfect news? Saying that you're the only supplier of the air force. Think about it, an entire branch of government orders you."

"The air force?" Boris questioned.

"Yeah. You guys worked with Fei Tian before, right?"

The three of them nodded, but they looked a little hesitant, as if they had some sort of disagreement between them.

"We did work with them in the past... But we didn't want to work on jet engines. It's just beyond our scope."

"That's fine. You don't have to be the one making the plane. It's just spending a little money to make everyone invest in that idea.

If everyone thinks you're the sole contractor for the air force, that alone would be enough to drive a massive amount of investments from the citizens.

And don't worry about Fei Tian denying it. Houqin and I already made a comprehensive plan for your guy's cooperation."

Seeing them looking a little dizzy, Xiaoyun quickly continued as he patted Ivan and Joseph on the shoulders.

"Of course, it's your guys' choice at the end of the day... I know one of you guys might suspect me of tricking you guys.

After all, Anna and Kate are both my wives. But I'm going to be honest with you, I don't want to see a monopoly form, especially an arm's factory.

The settlement as a whole should have some competition, and you guys are her main competition."

Xiaoyun gave one last message as he let them go free.

"I just don't want to see you three get stomped over, not by skill. But by the sheer amount of money she's going to get for Research and development."

---

As Xiaoyun left the factory and got back into his car, he could feel the sweat on his back as he started up the engine.

"Holy shit... What the fuck was I thinking?"

His mind was still a little blown apart as he thought back to the amount of bullshit he had pulled to make them agree.

Almost every single word earlier was a complete guess and hypothetical. He had no clue if Anna and Kate were going public at all.

"Fuck... I'm going to need to convince them next, aren't I?" Xiaoyun murmured to himself, realizing he had dug himself into an even bigger hole.

"I mean, surely they wouldn't reject the option for more money... Anna did talk about wanting to expand."

"I wouldn't be so sure if I were you."

As Kate's voice suddenly appeared out of nowhere, Xiaoyun flinched forward before realizing she was invisible next to him.

"Augh, what the fuck, Kate? When did you show up in my car?"

"Since you left Yuqi's office. You didn't notice the passenger door opening at all?" Kate questioned as she turned off her invisible cloak.

"Of course I know that... Ahem, were you in the car the whole time?" Xiaoyun nervously asked.

"Mhm... I totally won't tell Leyan that you got hard inside Yuqi's office or the time you stared at Jianlin's boobs when she walked by in the morning.

Or perhaps you want me to think back to... someone kissing a certain individual in the logistic office?"

"T-Those are accidents. I swear it was all a misunderstanding." Xiaoyun murmured as he shifted the gear into reverse.

"Mhm, just like going inside that helicopter ride, well knowing how dangerous it can be. Really smart choice of yours."

"Oh yeah, then how are you going to tell Leyan how you didn't prevent me from getting on that ride?"

Kate fell into silence for a second before kicking the ball back into Xiaoyun's court.

"I did try to prevent it. I cried for you to stop, but you went on it anyway... Who do you think Leyan would trust?"

The words made Xiaoyun roll his eyes as he reversed the car back onto the road, shifting the gear back to drive.

"People really are correct when they say there is no rose without a thorn... What do you want from me, Kate?"

"I don't want anything, my dear husband... I'll keep it a secret between us. I just wish you would keep a spot for me between all the different love interests."

"Ugh, why are you so romantic all of a sudden? Did you drink some Kool-Aid or something?" Xiaoyun asked in English.

"Who taught you to say that? And am I not allowed to be romantic to my husband?" Kate questioned as she raised her tone.

"O-Of course you're allowed to. I'll always have you in my heart. I can't believe I would have such an understanding wife."

"Hmph."

---

As Xiaoyun parked the car in front of Anna's factory, Kate's face still looked a little upset by the words he had used earlier.

"Kate, can you help me convince Anna?"

"Hmph. Do it yourself."

"How about your shares? Don't you own a percentage of her company?"

"She's the majority owner. She's the one who can decide if the company is going public or not."

With a blink of an eye, he had collapsed onto Kate's lap. His hand was holding onto her arms and refusing to let go.

"Please, help me. I know she'll listen to you. I'll do anything you want as long as you help me convince her."

"Now you want to ask me for help? Get lost." Kate answered cold-heartedly.

"Pleassseeee."

As Xiaoyun kept shaking her arms and pleading for help, Kate finally softened his tone a little.

"You are willing to do anything?"

"Yes. Anything... As long as it's legal and doesn't hurt anyone." Xiaoyun quickly added the last part after noticing her cold face beginning to change.

"Fine. I want you to do one thing and one thing only. It should be super easy for you, and you should enjoy it."

"What is it?"

Kate mysteriously pulled him back up from her lap, leaning her head down a little to whisper her demand into his ear.

"I want you to have sex with Anna in public. And creampie her while you guys are walking home."

"Huh?"

"Don't huh me. You heard what I said... I want her to have a little taste of what I had experienced."

"Deal."

---

"Hm? Kate? Xiaoyun? Why did you two show up today?"

Seeing Anna in her office, the two of them quickly grabbed a chair before sitting down right in front of her.

"Anna, have you been reading the newspaper recently?" Xiaoyun curiously asked.

"Newspaper? Not really. What about them?"

"All companies are going to be available for IPO and be traded on a public stock market. Do you want to be a part of it?"

"I'm good."

Hearing Anna's answer with zero hesitation, Xiaoyun knew he was facing a tough nut to crack.

"You sure? A lot of people know your company is one of the best companies in Luoping. They are dying to invest money into it."

"I don't want someone else telling me what to do... You know what my dad told me about running a company?"

Anna asked as she stopped working on her computer, looking back at Xiaoyun with an innocent-looking face.

"Keine Kompromisse! That's the motto I'm going to follow."

"Kate, what did she just say?" Xiaoyun curiously asked, unable to understand Anna's sudden German.

"She doesn't want to compromise her work," Kate answered.

"Who says going public is compromising your work? You're still going to be in charge. Hell, the regulation we're planning to implement gives businesses maximum freedom.

The stockholder has zero voting power, no board of directors that can sway your opinion. They are literally just there to invest money for dividends."

"I'm good. I already have enough money."
