Zombie Apocalypse: Creation

As Tianci asked her question, Xiaoyun didn't even need to give her wife the eye signal as they all quickly sat down next to her.

"It's so cool... You're like a superhero if you think about it."

Nami murmured, her eyes looking a little jealous as she stared at the skin on her arms.

"Man, if I had it, I would crack so many criminal cases. This has to be the craziest ability I have seen on someone." Yueyue added.

"Tianci, you don't need to be scared. You're always our sisters and Xiaoyun's wife, okay?" Leyan comforted as she gently held onto her hand.

"Thank you guys..."

The next morning...

As Xiaoyun woke up from the bed, his back was a little sore as he felt the same weight on top of him.

"Today is Sunday... Right?" Xiaoyun murmured as his mind felt a little dizzy, feeling like he was losing track of time.

"Of course it's Sunday. Or else we wouldn't be here with you."

Turning to his right, Kate was already awake before everyone else on the bed, who were still sleeping peacefully.

"Why are you up so early?" Xiaoyun curiously asked.

"Why are you up so early?" Kate questioned back, looking a little annoyed by his surprised face.

"I don't need much sleep... You should go back to sleep."

"Whatever."

As Kate leaned back down to the pillow, Xiaoyun got off the bed and headed over to the bathroom.

After taking a shower and brushing his teeth, he felt much more refreshed as he stood naked in front of the sink mirror, butt naked.

"Handsome as usual... Calm down, you little fella."

Xiaoyun murmured to himself, holding the urge to wake his wives, who were all still fully naked and sleepy.

As he headed over to the closet, he could once again see his morning wood and his hair dripping wet through the body mirror.

"I need to dry up first... What to wear today?"

With a towel in hand, he started scrubbing his wet hair as he looked through the various clothes inside his closet.

From his soldier's uniform to his business suit, he eventually picked a casual Hawaiian shirt he had brought years ago with a pair of shorts.

"Perfect."

Standing in front of the mirror, Xiaoyun couldn't help but feel a sudden weirdness. It almost felt like he had aged twenty years into the future.

The style he wore felt more like a dad in his forties, not a man who had just finished college if the outbreak didn't happen.

"Maybe I need to shave it a little bit more."

"It's perfectly fine, honey."

Seeing Leyan slowly sitting up through the mirror, Xiaoyun's hand started rubbing the stubble on his chin, which felt oddly satisfying.

"If you say so... You can sleep in if you want. I can go take care of the babies today."

"Yeah, right. You're going to breastfeed the babies? I ran out of breast milk in the fridge by the way."

"Never mind then."

As Leyan got off the bed, his eyes couldn't move away from her chest as it started bouncing up and down every time she moved.

"What are you looking at, you pervert?"

"Nothing. Ahem, I'm going for a morning jog. I'll be back for breakfast."

Watching Xiaoyun running out of the room in embarrassment, Leyan let out a small chuckle before the sound of the door closing woke several of them up.

"Hm? Is it already morning?" Yuqi asked quietly as her voice still sounded extremely sleepy.

"Yeah... Ahem, wake up. Stop sleeping on the bed, I need you to put your milk into the bottle."

"I'm not talking to you. You guys can go back to sleep... Wuli, Shuli... Nami, Yueyue... Yuqi! I just told you to stop sleeping."

When Xiaoyun came back from his thirty-minute morning jog, it was already nine o'clock as the sun had risen above the horizon.

"Finally, I got some fresh air exercise... Whew, feel so much better now."

As Xiaoyun took out his key and put it into the keyhole, he was a little surprised by what he saw when he opened the door.

All six of the babies' mothers were sitting on the sofa, all with what seemed to be suction cups attached to their breasts.

The only baby in the room were Bingbing and Wenwen, who were still sleeping in their cribs.

Their hand pressing onto some sort of trigger, with the whole contraption looking like a glass cleaner spray if it wasn't for the baby bottle on the bottom.

"What are you all doing?" Xiaoyun curiously asked, closing the door behind him.

"What do you think? Isn't it obvious?" Nami grumpily murmured as her face still looked extremely tired.

"Babe, are you really playing dumb?" Yuqi questioned, rolling her eyes as she turned her attention back to the pump.

"My bad. I just asked out of habit... Ahem, you guys need any help?"

"Just go away," Wuli responded, with all six of them nodding in agreement.

"Okay then."

As Xiaoyun walked around the sofa and into the kitchen, Kate, Anna, and Tianci were all eating breakfast already.

"Morning."

"Morning... Where did you go? You weren't in bed earlier when we woke up." Anna curiously asked.

"Just went for a morning jog... Where's Lily?" Xiaoyun curiously asked after noticing who was missing in the house.

"She's in the backyard with the babies right now... Did you just ask something stupid to the six over in the living room?" Kate questioned.

"How do you know?"

"I can just tell... Anyway, Tianci, hand him his breakfast."

As Tianci handed a grilled sandwich with a slice of ham inside, Xiaoyun was a little surprised, as it wasn't a food that Leyan would make.

"Who made this breakfast?"

"I made it. If you don't like it, you can make your own." Kate answered.

"I'm more than happy to eat it. I'm just a little surprised that the sun rose from the west today."

"Hmph!"

Kate immediately understood the idiom as Anna looked completely puzzled by what Xiaoyun had just said.

"Why did you say the sun rose from the west? Shouldn't it be the east?"

"It means it's something that seems almost impossible, yet it happened," Xiaoyun answered.

The clarification only made Anna even more confused, but Xiaoyun didn't elaborate any further as he headed towards the backyard with his sandwich.

"Tianci, I don't get it. Can you explain it to me?"

"It's just poking fun at Kate since he never cooks breakfast for everyone..." Tianci quietly whispered as Kate's face started to look a little mad.

"Oh. I get it now..."

As Xiaoyun arrived in the backyard, Lily was helping the four babies walk up the slides. She still didn't notice him as he walked all the way to the playground.

"Lily, have you eaten breakfast yet?"

"Oh hey Xiaoyun. I already ate breakfast... Don't touch the slide with your hand, Yongyi." Lily answered as she gently guided him down the small slides.

"What are you doing up there?" Xiaoyun curiously asked as he watched Yongyi slide all the way down to the bottom.

"Just helping them take care of the babies for now... They said the babies shouldn't see them using the pump."

"Daddy!"

"Hey Yongyi!"

Xiaoyun didn't question her reasoning as he slowly walked up to Yongyi before helping him get back up and land on his feet.

"Thank you for taking care of the babies... I really appreciate it."

"N-No problem..."

As Lily's voice suddenly started stuttering a little, Xiaoyun didn't think too much about it as she helped Lianrong down the slides next.

"Waaaah! Daddy!"

"Hey Lianrong... Lily, I almost forgot to ask this. Have you gotten back the Final exam score yet?"

Xiaoyun curiously asked as he helped guide Lianrong back to the line that had formed at the slide's stairs.

"Not yet. T-They are about to post it on the wall on Monday morning."

"Looks like I'll need to come with you to see it for myself then... You think you did well on the exam?"

Lily quickly nodded her head before she started blushing as she helped Qiaolan down the slides.

"You okay? Is the morning sun a little too much for you?" Xiaoyun asked, his voice sounding a little concerned after noticing the redness.

"I-I'm fine. I-I'm just a little nervous s-since you just say you're coming to my school." Lily replied.

"Da-da! Wahhh!"

"Hey Qiaolan! Here you go!"

As Xiaoyun helped Qiaolan all the way across to the staircase, Xuanhua was already getting into the slides to go down.

"Why would you be nervous about that? Oh, come on, whatever score you get, I won't judge or get mad at you."

"It's not about the score, you dummy..."

"Not about what?"

"Nothing... Xuanhua, be careful. Don't lean forward."

As Lily positioned Xuanhua to go down the slides, her face was filled with excitement as she slid down to the bottom.

"Do you want Leyan to go with you? Or Nami? If you don't want me to go, I'm totally fine with it."

Xiaoyun offered after realizing what might have been the reasoning behind her nervousness earlier.
