Zombie Survival 101

First-person POV:

As I checked the list of payments that need to be audited, I couldn't help but sigh. There are so many names who paid the membership fee for this semester. I felt bored with my monotonous routine. I haven't even played volleyball for a month now due to the sheer number of activities given to us.

After 5 minutes of auditing, I heard the door creak, I saw Nadia coming inside smiling as she saw me sitting at the auditor's table. "oh hey Amon, it's your duty today?" I replied, "Yeah, there are so many inflows that need to be audited Nadia, are you looking for someone?" I asked as the SBO office is connected to the teacher's faculty so some officers of other org or sub org just go through here instead of the faculties entrance.

"yep I have some papers that need to be signed, is sir lex there?" Nadia smiled and softly asked, seeing her smile I couldn't help but think to myself 'Nadia is my type.' then I promptly replied looking at the glass leading to the teacher's faculty "I think sir Lex is inside there, I saw him earlier working on something" I nonchalantly said make it as if I wasn't interested in her.

Hearing what I said Nadia went ahead inside the teacher's faculty, after a while, Nadia came back with a disappointed face. "well that was quick" I said without stopping my hands typing on my laptop, which I heard Nadia chuckle "Sir lex went out to submit something to the dean's office" then she sat in the chair in front of my working table across me. "being a president of our course's sub-organization is tiring huh" as I noticed her tired brown eyes.

Nadia glanced at me and smiled then replied to what I said "Well sometimes, though I enjoyed it anyway" I was taken aback at her smiling sweetly. "good for you then" I hastily replied to cover my reaction which I felt dumb because of my reply. Though this didn't go unnoticed by Nadia, she smiled sweetly and then asked "So how are you, Amon? We haven't seen each other for 2 weeks due to how busy we are" 

"all good Nadia, it's just that I've been having this bad feeling all this morning and it's distracting me," I said as I stopped auditing and looked at her while leaning my chin in my palm. "oh yeah? I feel the same too, earlier when I was riding a jeep on the way here, I saw this big vehicle accident, its terrible" Nadia said while looking at me straight in the eye. "damn that's terrible indeed, earlier too i saw some man collapsing on my way here, there is also so many ambulance on the road" i shared what happened to earlier after hearing what she said.

Just as Nadia was about to reply to what I said, I heard the door slam loudly, both I Nadia stood up alertly, and we saw a student, who was walking wobbly, I stared at the student while Nadia said out loud, "What do you think you're doing? slamming the door that hard, do you know that this office is connected to the teacher's faculty..." Nadia didn't even finished what she's trying to say when we heard a bloodcurdling scream coming from the faculty.

Both I and Nadia hastily look at the faculty through the glass wall, seeing the chaos unfolding there, looking like a blood bath, students jumping on the teachers biting the shit out of them. "wtf is happening there" I couldn't help but mutter under my breath, I quickly glanced at Nadia, seeing her stunned at the chaos she's seeing, then suddenly my I felt a buzz in my head making me pull Nadia, which saved her as the student to slammed the door, suddenly lounge at her which it missed as I pulled Nadia closer to me narrowly avoiding the strange student attack which crashed on the tables loudly, I swear I could even hear a bone cracking.

"A-Amon what is happening?" Nadia stuttered maybe due to fear and the bloody scene she just witnessed, "It's not safe here, let's go out" I pulled Nadia again, I looked at the student who crashed, that suddenly stood up, its arm was twisted which is inhumanely impossible, I hastily pulled Nadia outside the office door towards the hallway while the student haven't gotten its bearing yet. 

After I guided the still-stunned Nadia outside the office, I could hear more screams, asking for help while their voices are filled with pain, its like what we witnessed inside the faculty was child play compared to what was happening in the ground floor garden down the field and in the hallway we stand, "shit, don't tell me that some zombie apocalypse is happening right now" as I see some student biting another student, I could even see some guts scattered in the floor.

Seeing this, I ran towards the fourth floor with Nadia in tow, luckily the office and the stair connected to the fourth floor is close, and my destination is the assigned classroom that I was supposed to have a class on, I know there was no one there at the moment considering the shit is happening right now and that it's still some time away before my classmates would go there.

After we arrived in front of the classroom, I could feel Nadia's hands are trembling due to fear, I see at a corner of my eye, let's say an infected students running towards us, which I kicked hard in the chest making it tumble backward, then I opened the classroom door and went inside, the classroom was empty while the aircon is running making the room feel cold, I hastily closed the and locked it, I went and also lock the other door. "hey Nadia you can relax now, we're safe at the moment".

Nadia didn't respond to what I said she wasn't responding to anything I said, looking at her still stunned and trembling at the chaos she had witnessed, I bent my hand and slapped her face. Of course, I didn't use my full strength, just enough to wake her up, "are you awake now? Sorry for slapping you but I have to" I said apologetically, this time Nadia was back to her usual self "it's okay and I'm sorry for being a burden and... thank you Amon"
