30 Years in Whitebeard’s Crew, I Became Invincible

Chapter 177: The Mystery Behind Whitebeard’s Wound Revealed – The True Culprit

"I think I just heard a very remarkable name."

While chatting with Sabo and the others, Roy suddenly perked up at a name he overheard.

"Mr. Roy, what did you hear?" Sabo asked. He knew Roy possessed powerful Haki, he had heard about it from Ace.

Roy's Observation Haki was so advanced he could hear thoughts, and much like Roger, he could even hear the "voice of all things." His range was vast, extending from one island to the next.

"It's nothing. Just someone mentioning me," Roy said with a smile.

As the Reverie began, on the other side of the world, Imu had already taken the highest seat on the Empty Throne.

When the Five Elders knelt before her and asked which "light" she wished to extinguish, she named three people:

Luffy, Shirahoshi, and Roy.

Roy hadn't expected his name to be among them, let alone spoken by Imu herself.

But in a way, it was a good thing. It meant he was now considered a true threat.

"Mentioning you?" Lindbergh and the others looked confused, even a little skeptical of Roy's claim, until they remembered how he had found them. That alone proved his abilities were genuine.

"I'm going to take a nap. What about your upcoming operations?" Roy asked, casually lying down as if completely unconcerned.

"We've got three missions," Sabo replied. "First, rescue Kuma. Second, destroy the Heavenly Dragon's Seal to declare war on the Celestial Dragons. Third, sabotage the World Government's food storage warehouses."

"Sabo!" The other three were stunned he revealed their full plan.

"It's okay. Mr. Roy is our comrade, we share a common enemy," Sabo said firmly.

Roy leaned against the wall, a grin playing on his lips as he watched Sabo with interest.

"We'll split up. Lindbergh will take out the Heavenly Seal. Karasu will burn the food storage. And Morley and I will rescue Kuma," Sabo continued.

"Not a bad plan," Roy nodded. "There are two Navy Admirals stationed here, though. You guys just go for it, I'll keep the Celestial Dragon forces busy."

"Really?! Thank you, Mr. Roy!" Sabo said excitedly.

"No big deal. I'm bored anyway, and I've already gotten the answer I was looking for," Roy smiled.

"Hmm?" The others didn't understand what he meant.

"Mr. Roy, what was your purpose in coming to Mary Geoise?" Sabo asked curiously.

"Well, to study the World Government's power… more precisely, the strength of the Celestial Dragons. Like the God's Knights," Roy said with a smirk.

"You mean that army made up of Celestial Dragons…?" The four looked alarmed.

"Exactly. A powerful legion formed from the 19 Celestial Dragon families. Their strength are at the least Warlord level," Roy explained.

"Are they really that strong?" Morley asked.

"Stronger than you think. I met their commander just now. He's incredibly powerful, on par with an Emperor." Roy said calmly.

"A force comparable to an Emperor…"

The four Revolutionary commanders were stunned. Being around Roy was already pressure enough, now learning that Celestial Dragons had such power was a terrifying realization.

"Never underestimate the Celestial Dragons. They've had 800 years of accumulated wealth. Many Devil Fruits and untold power lie in their hands. The Five Elders, for example, they're not weak."

"You fought with one of the Five Elders in Dressrosa, didn't you?" Sabo asked.

"Not just one. All of them."

"All of them?!"

"They're almost immortal. Their lives are connected. When one appears, the others can be summoned. All five are Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit users."

Saturn, Warrior God of Science and Defense: Gyuki.

Nusjuro, Warrior God of Finance: Bakotsu.

Peter, Warrior God of Agriculture: Sandworn.

Warrior God of Justice: Fengxi.

Mars, Warrior God of Environment: Itsumade, a bird-serpent hybrid creature.

The four quickly scribbled all this down. They had never heard such insider intel about the Five Elders before. These would be their future enemies, this information was vital.

"Anything else?" Lindbergh asked.

"Oh, there's more. I only know two members of the God's Knights by name. One is Figarland Garling, the Supreme Commander of the Knights."

"Don't underestimate this force," Roy warned. "It's not just a few Celestial Dragons, they're a full-scale army, handpicked from within the elite families."

"Their numbers are unknown, and their abilities unclear. But Garling is not only a warrior, he's also a scientist. He killed countless people during the God Valley Incident 38 years ago."

"The other guy… I met him just today. He's likely Garling's successor. He'll soon lead the elite force of the God's Knights."

"Who is he?" Karasu asked, quickly jotting it down.

"He's a clone created by Garling using Lineage Factor technology. For now, let's call him… Figarland Shanks," Roy said.

"Figarland…?"

"Shanks?!"

"That's the same name as Red-Haired Shanks, one of the Four Emperors!"

"You don't mean, "

The four swallowed hard, staring at Roy in disbelief.

"It's just as you're thinking," Roy nodded. "Garling used Shanks' lineage factor to clone an Emperor."

"No way! Why would they clone Shanks?!" Sabo exclaimed.

"That ties into the God Valley Incident. The Figarland family lost a child during that event. That child was taken in by Roger's crew."

"When Roger's crew disbanded, they tried to bring the child back, but growing up under Roger, there was no way he'd return to the Celestial Dragons."

"So Garling created a perfect clone, and raised him with care."

"If you ever see a version of Shanks without the scar over his left eye, that's him. I met him just now, and it confirmed my theory."

Six years ago, when Shanks became an Emperor, that clone showed up, and attacked Whitebeard.

Roy wasn't at the main crew that time, but he heard about it later. He remembered that when Whitebeard saw Shanks, he said, "Just seeing that face makes my wound ache."

At first, people thought Garling had wounded Whitebeard at God Valley. But he wasn't seriously injured back then.

The wound was from six years ago, caused by someone who looked just like Shanks, but had no scar over his eye.

That man didn't walk away unscathed either, Whitebeard seriously injured him, and he fled.

Whitebeard said he had seen a black magic circle and felt a terrifying dark force during the attack.
