30 Years in Whitebeard’s Crew, I Became Invincible

Chapter 176: The Mysterious Cloaked Man in Mary Geoise

"I…"

Miro was deeply moved. When he first joined the Whitebeard Pirates, Roy was still with he main crew. At the time, others still felt uneasy around him; after all, he was a "man-woman."

But Roy treated him kindly, always looking after him and even asking Izo to take special care of him.

Roy even had Izo take Miro to the Kamabakka Kingdom, where he learned that there were many others like him in the world. That made him feel less alone.

"Don't act rashly. Just watch," Roy said, holding him back as they looked ahead.

Leo didn't know who the Celestial Dragons were. When he saw his friend, Princess Shirahoshi, being attacked, he chose to fight back against the Celestial Dragon.

Sai knew this wasn't going to end well, but seeing Leo charge, he followed him in the attack.

Miro wanted to step in, too, but Roy stopped him. As the two others moved forward, they were blocked by CP0 agents Rob Lucci and Kaku.

"It's CP0!" Miro squinted his eyes.

"Don't expose your killing intent. Do you want to ruin my plan?" Roy pressed his aura onto him, suppressing the anger surging in Miro at the sight of the nobles.

"I understand, big bro. I'll restrain myself and help you with your mission," Miro said, bowing his head.

"That's more like it," Roy said, patting him twice.

Leo and Sai were pushed back. Neptune, as a father, couldn't bear to watch any longer. If this were the state of the world, he'd rather return to the bottom of the sea.

Just as he was about to attack the Celestial Dragons, Roy noticed another Celestial Dragon behind Saint Charlos, holding a spiked club.

This farce came to an end as other Celestial Dragons arrived; at least the Five Elders wouldn't let Saint Charlos continue causing trouble.

.....

Meanwhile, in Totto Land…

A newly awakened Charlotte Linlin was boarding her ship, the Queen Mama Chanter.

"That brat Straw Hat…! How dare they call him a Fifth Emperor?! I'll crush him, then join forces with Kaido to annihilate Whitebeard! she roared, stepping heavily with fury in her heart.

"Oi, Kaido!!!"

Her transponder snail wasn't encrypted and was broadcast openly to Kaido.

The Marines intercepted the signal, and Sengoku just happened to be educating recruits about the former Rocks Pirates.

.....

Back in Mary Geoise…

After the farce ended, Roy quietly moved on his own.

Mary Geoise was huge, and security wasn't especially tight. Roy, disguised in a soldier's armor, wandered around unnoticed.

Before he knew it, he was near the Room of Authority.

He found a corner to stop and stood as still as a guard.

"In five minutes, he'll pass by here," Roy thought, seemingly asleep but perfectly still.

Exactly five minutes later, a figure in a black cloak approached, head down in deep thought.

Suddenly, a long spear blocked his path.

"Lurking around like that, who are you?" said Roy, disguised as a guard.

The man didn't lift his head. Instead, a powerful aura burst from him, aimed only at Roy.

Under the pressure of the man's Haki, Roy's body trembled and collapsed to the ground. The cloaked man looked at him, killing intent emanating, but he didn't strike. He simply stepped over Roy and walked away.

Once he left, Roy slowly stood up.

"Geez… definitely not normal. Just pure darkness and hatred inside. He's a monster," Roy chuckled softly.

"Well, being raised by the Celestial Dragons… It's no surprise he turned out that way," Roy muttered as he walked back, still disguised and armed with a spear.

Despite the grandeur of Mary Geoise, its internal management was quite sloppy. No one questioned his wandering.

It was hard to imagine how much manpower and resources were spent building this place. All that wealth had been plundered from the world.

Over time, how many descendants did the original 19 royal families produce? Surely not all of them were foolish.

But as Celestial Dragons, they retained that innate sense of superiority that was undeniable.

That cloaked man who had just left... Roy was nearly certain he was the one who had left the scar on Whitebeard's chest.

"I misunderstood your identity for a long time. Now it seems science has worked a miracle… Keep watching."

"I've already infiltrated."

Elsewhere in Mary Geoise…

Roy patrolled into another area. He knocked his weapon on the ground in a specific pattern.

Underground, four people hiding heard the vibrations from above and went silent.

"Was there a battle up there?" asked Karasu, looking upward.

"Doesn't seem like it," Morley replied.

"This vibration… very low frequency," Lindbergh said, pressed against the wall.

Then they all heard a voice: "Can you hear me? Pull me in."

The four of them were shocked.

"Who was that?"

"Have we been found?"

"Not good…"

Only Sabo remained calm; the voice sounded familiar.

"Didn't you hear me? You should be right below. Little Sabo," said Roy, his voice transmitted underground through his weapon.

"Sabo!!"

Upon hearing their comrade's name, the four confirmed the voice belonged to someone who knew Sabo, someone who called him "little Sabo."

"Morley, pull him in," Sabo ordered, still unsure of the man's identity.

Morley opened the ground, reached up, and pulled Roy underground.

When they saw the armored figure, the four looked on with curiosity. Roy removed his helmet.

The three Revolutionary Army commanders were startled, but Sabo smiled.

"Mr. Roy!"

"Hiss, An Emperor?!"

"Geez… If I'd known, I wouldn't have gone through so much trouble. The Push-Push Fruit is really useful. You're the one who built Level 5.5 in Impel Down, right?" Roy asked.

"That's right," Morley nodded.

"I'll have to visit someday. So… you just entered the Celestial Dragon residential area, didn't you?" Roy asked with a smile.

"Yes," Sabo nodded.

Mary Geoise had three areas: the Celestial Dragon residence, the World Government offices, and the Social Plaza, where world meetings occurred; that last one was the smallest.

The largest was the Celestial Dragon residential area, where Sabo had infiltrated and witnessed Bartholomew Kuma being tortured.

"Your goal is to rescue Kuma, right?" Roy asked, sitting cross-legged.

"Yes, we have to rescue him," Sabo said seriously.

"It won't be easy. His brain has been altered. The only person who might help him now is Vegapunk. But the World Government may soon make a move against Vegapunk, so you'd better hurry," Roy warned.

"What?!"

"Targeting Vegapunk? That's impossible! He's the world's greatest scientist, they still need him!" Lindbergh, also a scientist, said in disbelief.

"Nothing's impossible. Our goals may be different, but maybe I can help you when the time comes… After all, we share a common enemy."
