Chapter 64: Cultivate
"Watch me while I wear this bracelet," said Miya as she slipped her hand into the jade bangle.
Xiu!
Her body suddenly emitted a burst of light, like an explosion, and in the next instant, she vanished—replaced by a red fox with a thick, fluffy tail.
"Ahhh, she really transformed!" Emma gasped at the sight, while Sofia just chuckled—it wasn't her first time seeing it, though it had been a while.
"Miya, that really suits your personality," she said.
The fox then shimmered and returned to the form of Miya, the jade bracelet once again resting in her palm.
"Sofia, don't tease me," Miya protested.
"I'm not teasing—it's just a fact," Sofia replied.
"You..." Miya shook her head and pouted.
"I'm not like that anymore," she muttered.
"Would you like to try it too?" she asked Oliver.
He shook his head.
"Not right now, but I'll accept the artifact," he said.
He was just worried his true form might be too enormous—and wouldn't fit inside the house.
"Hahaha, go ahead and take it!" Miya casually tossed the jade bracelet toward him, clearly no longer considering it of any use to her.
Oliver caught it easily and immediately transferred it into the storage space of his Observation Ring.
Fiuuh...
Miya suddenly let out a breath of relief.
"To be honest, holding on to something so valuable has always put me under a lot of pressure—especially when there are superhuman individuals out there. I've always feared someone might try to rob me," she said.
"But now I've traded it for cultivation. Maybe from here, I can grow even further." Her eyes lit up again as she looked at Oliver with high anticipation, clearly eager to become a Cultivator right then and there.
Unlike his mother, Miya didn't have any health issues—and with the help of Oliver's Life Force, she could practically start cultivating today.
Under her eager gaze, Oliver took out a Spiritual Pill.
"Mrs. Everly, try sitting in a meditative position," he said.
"Right here?" Miya asked.
"Maybe it's easier on the floor..." Oliver chuckled.
"Alright..." Miya stood up, gently adjusting her slightly rumpled dress.
She was tall—but not overly so. What stood out was her long legs and perfectly shaped curves—neither excessive nor lacking.
After standing briefly, she sat cross-legged on the floor near the window, where there was plenty of open space.
She sat in silence, waiting for Oliver's next instructions.
Standing over her, Oliver found himself slightly distracted by the sight of her cleavage—it was simply too enticing.
She was, after all, one of the icons of beauty in the UK. With her stunning face and irresistible figure, she had long been the fantasy of countless high school boys—the ultimate "milf."
Who would've thought she was an old friend of his mother—and now sitting in his living room.
"Mrs. Everly, hold this," Oliver handed her the Spiritual Pill.
"You can absorb the energy from this pill—it'll flow into your body. I'll also give you my Life Force to keep your body in peak condition," Oliver explained.
Miya, clearly a smart woman, understood well enough about cultivation. She nodded lightly, showing she grasped everything he said.
She then closed her eyes and began absorbing the Spiritual Energy from the pill.
Oliver enveloped her in his Void Sense and could clearly see the pure Spiritual Energy flowing into her body.
He quickly reached out his hand, channeling his Life Force—a green, vibrant light full of vitality. It wrapped around Miya, and she visibly relaxed.
Sofia and Emma, still seated nearby, watched the process in awe.
With the aid of Life Force, Miya was able to absorb the Spiritual Energy from the pill even faster. It was already easy to absorb—but in Miya's case, it was practically effortless.
Every minute, more energy entered her.
Oliver had been a bit nervous at first—this was his first time helping someone else cultivate using a Spiritual Pill—but soon, he felt at ease. It was surprisingly easy for him.
After a while, Miya's body stopped absorbing more energy.
That meant the Spiritual Energy within her had reached 100.
Her body began to emit a spiritual glow. Even without understanding any scriptures, when someone's body gathered 100 units of Spiritual Energy, it would naturally begin forming cultivation.
At first, Miya's spiritual aura was faint, but it steadily grew stronger.
Though it was nothing impressive to Oliver, it was still a marvel for ordinary people like Sofia and Emma.
The process of forming cultivation from the Spiritual Energy Miya had absorbed was slower, but still smooth.
Her body opened a Spiritual Space—her core—which would become the nest of her power.
It continued until Miya finally opened her eyes.
She wore a look of amazement, her face filled with joy.
"So this is what it feels like... to have cultivation," she said softly.
"Miya, how does it feel?" Sofia asked.
She had never asked her own son about it.
"It's hard to explain... maybe like suddenly receiving millions of dollars after a lifetime of poverty," Miya replied. "No, it's even better—it's life evolution. Nothing can compare."
"Really?" Sofia was surprised—she knew Miya wasn't one to exaggerate.
"You should ask your son. He's far more powerful than me, so the sensation he felt must've been even more incredible," Miya replied with a laugh.
Sofia just smiled at that.
As a mother, she couldn't exactly pester her son with questions like a friend could.
Miya stood again, still trying to feel the energy within her.
"I think if I were to hold a concert for a few hours now, I wouldn't even get tired," she said.
"Oliver, here's your Spiritual Pill." She handed it back to him.
It was still as valuable as before—still full of untouched Spiritual Energy.
"Mrs. Everly, do you know anyone else who might offer an artifact in exchange for cultivation?" Oliver asked in response.
He was happy with this kind of transaction. Both sides benefited—but he had clearly gained far more. Naturally, he was eager to do it again.
"Hahaha, sounds like someone's not satisfied just yet," Miya chuckled.
"Unfortunately, it's rare to find an ordinary person with an artifact. I mean, how would they even get one?" she said.
Oliver realized she was right—even someone like him found it hard to obtain artifacts.
"Guess not," he muttered, a little disappointed.
"Well... actually, there is one person," Miya suddenly said, surprising both Oliver and Sofia.
"That person owns an artifact—but unlike me, they have no real desire to cultivate. So they probably wouldn't be interested in a trade like this."
"Who?" Sofia asked curiously.
"The Prime Minister. I dated him once—back when we were young," Miya said, laughing.
