Chapter 3: The Mysterious Man Falling from the Sky
"Hey, how in the hell did I end up in the middle of a colossal drama shooting like this?" The man who just fell from the rift suddenly rose and ranted over something all the people there couldn't understand. "And what the hell are you wearing there? A gauntlet? What are you? A fucking Thanos?!"
Both Kali and Shira were dumbfounded at the man's reaction, not knowing what to say here. However, the man's rant was still far from over. "Anyway, what is wrong with all of you guys?! Some of you wear armor like you are the warriors from the Chinese dynasty a millennium ago and the others look like the support figures from the Avengers movie! What kind of drama does your producer want to make here?"
"ENOUGH!" Kali suddenly snapped as he raised his voice, making the man wince. However, there was no fear in the man's eyes as he looked at Kali curiously. "Listen here, you bastard! I don't know which kingdom just sent you here, what kind of method did they use, and what kind of nonsense you keep spouting over and over again, but do you think you can barge into this area and just mock us like that without any repercussion?!"
Instead of fear that Kali hoped to be seen on the man's face, he was greeted by a displeasure scowl from the mysterious man. "Now, listen here, Thanos wannabe." The man pointed his finger at Kali's chest. "I don't care if your producer here is the fucking Spielberg himself, but you don't raise your voice to someone you don't know, okay? What if I am one of the investors here, huh?! What would you do?!"
Honestly, none of the warriors from both tribes knew what the man's nonsense meant. They just stared at each other before shrugging, letting their leaders handle this situation.
"Also, what the hell is that spear?!" The mysterious man suddenly turned his attention to Shira. "It is too thin to be a Naginata! If anything, it is closer to Guan Dao, but your costume is like you are a samurai wannabe from the popular video game! What the hell is wrong with your producer? Can he do his research properly or is he too much of an asshole that he couldn't differentiate between two Asian races?"
"Hey, I have to tell you that my spear works perfectly here!" Shira snapped, offended. "I don't know what the hell is Naginata or Guan… Whatever that was you spoke about, but the spear is perfect as it was intended to be! A bit wider and less slender to emphasize slashing and sweeping movement to enhance my wind magic!"
"Now, you are getting ridiculous here." The man scoffed mockingly. "Magic? Really? What are you trying to say next, that this is a fantasy movie? And don't snap at me when I am correcting you, young man! You know that I am right! Even though the replica is good, you should've made the spear – OW!" The man jumped when he accidentally touched the edge of the spear, his hand suddenly bled. "What the hell?!" The man blinked in shock.
"Well, what do you expect by touching a spear that is enforced by wind magic? You should've known how sharp wind could be, right?"
For a moment, silence befell the battlefield – not that anyone remembered this was supposed to be a battlefield – as the man tried his best to collect himself. He blinked a few times, his attention flying from one man to another before he started stuttering, "But that means… You, I, this is… No, everything is real?!"
When he received hesitant nods from some of the people there, the man suddenly did something anyone in his position would do.
He fainted.

"So… Now what?" Kali asked.
"Why would you ask me?" Shira asked back, trying to calm his nerves.
"Well, between us two, you are definitely the brain here, so of course, I will ask you," Kali answered as a matter of fact.
That… Was unexpected. With the stress of the battle and its preparation in the last couple of days, Shira somehow forgot that behind his brash and reckless attitude, Kali was always an honest and genuine guy. He wore the code of honor on his sleeve and would never do anything against it, and this included lying and deceiving someone. That was also one of the reasons why the former mayor of this city trusted him and the Eldra tribe to guard the west city with the Kurata tribe, and also the reason why Shira was confused about why would Kali break his promise with the former mayor and attacked Kurata tribe now.
Still, that was a question for another time. For now, they had a mysterious man who just fainted under their watch to deal with. He looked at the man who was lying in the tribe's infirmary peacefully and somehow thanked the man for his presence, or his tribe would've been slaughtered by the Eldra tribe already.
After thinking for a while, Shira finally sighed, admitting his frustration. "For now, we have to wait until he wakes up from his sweet dream. But I doubt he would be dangerous or a spy from the other kingdoms."
"Oh, even I know about that. With how he acts, there is no way he would be a spy. I mean, look at his clothes!" Kali snorted incredulously.
Of course, they were talking about the man's snob attitude and gaudy appearance. After all, the most important thing for a spy was to blend in with the crowd and be ordinary, and the man was a completely opposite description of that.
Hell, by the attire alone, the man was completely out of place. The jacket – or so that was Shira and Kali assumed – was something they had never seen from anyone before. It was smooth and soft and somehow thin, unlike the rough wool and linen they used to use in the winter. While the man looked fancy, they doubted it would protect him from the harsh winter here, and they still didn't mention how the man would stand out like a sore thumb with the out-of-place fashion like that among the two warrior tribes here.
So, yeah, there was no way in seven hells that the mysterious man would be a spy.
While they were lost in their thought, the mysterious man suddenly groaned, slowly waking up from his sleep. Both Shira and Kali jumped immediately, pointing their weapons straight at the man. While they had already deemed the man not dangerous, they both were veteran warriors and there was no way they would be stupid enough to approach someone unknown carelessly.
The man himself took his time as he blinked his eyes repeatedly before murmuring, "Man, I have a weird dream about being isekai-ed to a strange place where a samurai fights against a Thanos wannabe. What a nightmare." But when the man saw Shira and Kali in front of him, he could feel all the blood drained from his body.
"Wait, that is not a dream?! SHIIITEE!"
