Chapter 3: First half-day in Konosuba. This system is nice

(No POV)

We see our protagonist Hank appear from nothing in the city of beginnings, axel. Everyone around act as if this is normal and don't bat an eye at him, nor do they give him any strange looks.

After a moment Hank opens his red eyes, looking around the area. The light of the sun shining down on his Dark hair and pale complexion. His stature shorter then most at 5'8 feet or 176cms for some.

(Hanks POV)

I slowly open my eyes and glance around, seeing for the first time people with animal features, men and woman in armor with swords at their hips. This whole situation making me more and more excited, but I calmed myself down as to not draw attention to myself. Calling back to my memories of the anime, I walk around looking for the guild building and find it easily 'Seriously, how did they not notice it before?' I was about to enter when I remembered the need for money to register, this worlds currency being known as eris.

I walk away and find a bench to sit at, and after seating myself I begin thinking 'How should I proceed? I'm not going to beg for money, I'm not going to steal money either. Maybe I could help around to earn some money?' Whilst pondering my situation a voice resounded in my head [Host, a quick way to earn money is to defeat enemies and monsters] After hearing the systems advice I think for a moment about it 'That's a good idea, but am I strong enough? And what monsters should I kill? Giant toads is a big nope, as they are impact resistant and I only have my fists to fight with' I think about it for a few more minutes before deciding to heed the systems advice and slay some monsters, so I headed towards one of Axel's exit gates.

(Later in a forest)

After exiting Axel I immediately made my way towards the nearest forest hoping to find some monsters to slay. I walk deeper and deeper into the forest, shadows of the leaves above dancing on the ground to a silent song. But soon that peace was broken by the sounds of hooves hitting the ground as a wild boar ran past me, off into the distance and swiftly out of sight. Turning towards where it ran from I find myself looking at a pack of wolves, the only difference being they were larger with more teeth and larger claws. I looked at these differences closely trying to understand them before hearing a 'Ding' sound and finding a panel in my face.

Through certain actions the skill [Analyze] Has been acquired

----------

Momentarily surprised, I was attacked by one of these wolves, but luckily enough, I was able to dodge out of the way and hit it in the side of its head. I make some distance and focus my new skill on the one I just punched, causing a panel to appear.

----------

Name: Dire wolf.

Level: 6.

Hp: 120.

Mp: 20.

Note: This dire wolf seems to have gone through a mutation giving it bigger teeth and claws.

----------

Looking at this things stats, all I could think is 'This thing is level 6 but only has 120Hp?' Hearing my thoughts the system responded [Host, while this seems odd it really isn't. Most beings have higher strength stats then they have endurance. This includes ordinary humans as an average human will usually have a STR to END ratio of 1.5 to 1. Meaning someone with 10 endurance would have about 15 strength. Monster ratio however is 2 to 1. This should have answered your question] While the system was giving me an explanation I was busy fighting these dire wolves, having to dodge then counter. By now one was already down, I could see it still moving so my guess is I knocked it unconscious.

Continuing to fight these wolves was difficult at first but soon became easier. I could definitely feel a little fatigue but not much. Yet again, I was lunged at by one of the wolves, only to hit a devastating blow to its right eye, and as the hit connected I could see its eye pop. The wolf now hurt backed off and started whining giving me time to kick it in the ribs hard. I could feel its ribs cracking from my kick causing it to fall on its side and breath heavily. The other wolves seeing their comrade go down became frenzied and lunged at me again.

Turning my attention to the two wolves, I dodged and weaved the two for a full minute before I found a decent sized rock and kicked it full force into ones mouth destroying its teeth causing bleeding. I yelp as my right arm is bitten by the other wolf, but before it could continue I kicked it in the ribs, causing it to let go, and without another thought I brought a hammer fist down and fractured its skull. I then dispatched the one with broken teeth with another hammer fist and then quickly killed the two already injured, before sitting down at a tree to rest for a moment. My peace was interrupted by a ding though.

Looking at this I smiled and stood up noticing the wound on my arm gone. I then opened my panel to check my status, and my smile turned into a grin upon seeing it.

I decided to head back to Axel and register as an adventurer. For a first confrontation, this went surprisingly well, and I came out of it stronger.
