Chapter 1725 Position?
1725 Position?
Pyro World. The competition began as planned the next day, and Grey was announced as the number one person in the Seventh stage of the Sovereign Plane. The announcement shook the entire Pyro Faction, although they saw it happen, they still didn't want to believe it. A Sixth stage Sovereign managing to defeat two peak Seventh stage Sovereigns with strength rivalling an Eighth stage Sovereign was unheard of, never in the history of the Faction has something like this ever happened. Grey not being a member of the Faction made it even worse as it shows that there are talents bigger than what they have which will be a form of embarrassment to them. Grey stood on the platform as he was announced the winner, and the first person to be on the top ten in the list. A few people in the Eighth stage of the Sovereign Plane in the stands looked at Grey, green with envy. This is something they all had to battle relentlessly for, yet a Sixth stage Sovereign has managed to get a spot, and so easily too!
Grey bowed to the Elder announcing the results, he then turned in the direction of the Elders' area. The Elders' area. Faction Leader Bertram looked in the direction of Lord Dante, who had his palm on his face. Sensing both Grey and Faction Leader Bertram's piercing gaze, he waved his hand and said, "After the competition." Grey bowed to him before returning to his seat. Those in the Eighth stage still had to fight, and he wanted to see how strong they were. While Grey went back to his seat, the crowd were having a heated conversation when someone asked a question that left everyone perplexed; "Since he's also the number one under the Eighth stage, what happens to the title of the number one under the Seventh stage, someone has to take it, right?" Grey was announced as the number one person under the Seventh stage, which was a position previously held by Matilda, however, now that Grey is ranked the number one under the Eighth stage, he felt the title of the number one person under the Seventh stage is vacant.
"He's not part of our Faction, dumbass." A young lady from the side commented when she noticed the young man's question had ruined the heated moment of how Grey has single-handedly swept through their Faction's geniuses. The thought of someone ruining it with a title that no one even cares about made this young lady annoyed. Everyone went back to their previous arguments after the short break, and the topic of their conversation was none other than Grey. Every single person in the arena was talking about Grey's last battle with Vale and his companion. The fact that he also had a Fifth element shook them, and the use of four domains was also worth mentioning time and time again. They've been speaking about it since the previous day, yet they were not tired. The youths from the Pyrmond Faction felt a hint of pride when they noticed the way the youngsters from the Pyro Faction looked at them changed. Looking at Grey, they couldn't help but feel happy that they were from the same Faction as such a genius. Some of them knew Grey for a while now, and they still can't help but wonder how he not only caught up to them in terms of cultivation stage, but he flew past them. As at the time Grey was a Sage Plane Elementalist, most of the young Sovereigns the Pyrmond Faction currently have who are in the Early stages, had already broken into the Sovereign Plane then. Now, Grey has not only caught up to them but he flew right past them. The day went by very quickly, and the battles of the Eighth stage Sovereigns weren't all that interesting, so Grey requested if he could leave. When Ezekiel and the others heard this, they couldn't believe it, but on seeing that he was serious, Ezekiel could only tell Nathan and Harry to escort him back to the place the Pyrmond Faction resided.
The next day, Grey originally opted not to go for the final competition. He was later told that at the end of the battle, Lord Dante will be handing out the treasures for the top ten. On hearing that, Grey made a u-turn in his decision and decided that he will go to the competition. The arena was packed just as usual, and from what Grey heard, this was the most intense part of the competition. Anyone among the top ten could challenge those in higher ranks for a better position and also better rewards. This information piqued Grey's interest, and he couldn't help but wonder if there's a chance that he could steal another opportunity to get another valuable treasure from Lord Dante. When he got to the arena, he naturally attracted a lot of attention, but he was used to this as it wasn't anything new. He contacted Faction Leader Bertram to help him make another deal with Lord Dante. Lord Dante was seated when he heard Faction Leader Bertram say. "Is the first deal considered settled?" Faction Leader Bertram asked calmly. Lord Dante felt like something bad was about to happen, but he threw the thought to the back of his head. He nodded to the question. "Alright, are you interested in making another deal?" Faction Leader Bertram asked, he quickly added before Lord Dante could speak, "You'll get the chance to see something extraordinary, and even if he wins, it's nothing exorbitant." Lord Dante thought about it for a while, "What does he want this time?" "A high tier space elemental treasure, most preferably absorbable." Faction Leader Bertram replied, after a while he asked, "Position?" "Top five." When Faction Leader Bertram heard this, he cursed in his heart. This black hearted old man didn't want to give Grey another treasure. How did he expect Grey to get top five?
