Chapter 1726 You're Nothing Special
1726 You're Nothing Special
The Aurora Continent. The Moonlight Faction had traveled to the place where they would be visiting the ancient Faction.
Klaus, standing on the flying ship, looked down from above, and all he could see was an island situated in the middle of the ocean. If he were told to come search for this place, there was no way he would be able to locate it in a short time. The only reason they have been able to locate it this quickly was because the Faction Leader had something that led to this place. He didn't expect that these ancient Factions went to such lengths just to make sure the entrance to their Factions were kept a secret. Most Factions in the present day Aurora Continent wouldn't do something like this since they would need to recruit members from all over the Continent, and if geniuses can't locate the Faction, how could they join? The ship landed on the island, and even though the island wasn't all that big, it still had some vegetation. Looking around, Klaus didn't see anyone present, nor a way to enter the ancient Faction they were visiting. Unlike the others who had the patience to wait, Klaus didn't have that patience, he moved closer to the Faction Leader and inquired softly, "Aunt, are we just going to stand here in the middle of nowhere?"
When no one was around, Klaus usually refers to not just the Faction Leader, but all the Elders as Aunt. Sometimes he forgets and addresses them in this manner even in public. The ladies of the Moonlight Faction already knew this was how Klaus addressed the Faction Leader, so they didn't bat an eye when they heard this. The Faction Leader wrinkled her brows before looking to the edge of the island, "The people receiving us are here." Klaus looked in the direction the Faction Leader was looking at and couldn't help but frown, as he didn't see anyone coming. A few seconds later, his frown changed into one of surprise, these people came out from the water. 'Don't tell me their entire Faction is built underwater?' Klaus didn't want to believe that this was the case. As vast as the ocean, he didn't think that it was some place he would want to stay for an extended period. The Faction Leader, even without seeing Klaus' face could already tell what he was thinking and explained, "The portal to the secret world is underground." "Underground?" Klaus turned his attention to the Faction Leader. The Faction Leader needed before further explaining, "There's an underwater cave under this island, but the restrictions placed there before one can enter is very complicated and also quite dangerous. I am not confident that I'll be able to easily get in." "That serious?" Klaus was taken aback. He didn't expect these people to take things this seriously. "Yes. They're an old Faction, so they naturally don't want anyone carelessly intruding." The Faction Leader, although mostly strict with Klaus, was also very nice to him. It couldn't be helped, Klaus was very likeable, when he regards you, that is. His only disadvantage is that he's troublesome, and for some reason, derives joy in toying with people, mentally. There was a time another Faction came to the Moonlight Faction with the disguise of sparring, but truly, they came to mock them. As at that time, it hadn't been more than a year Klaus joined the Faction. So even though his talent was noteworthy, his status in the Faction wasn't as high as it is right now. Klaus sparred with one of the members of this Faction after the Moonlight Faction had suffered repeated losses, and not only did Klaus win, he enraged all members of the Faction, Elders included that they almost wanted to start a war there and then. Naturally, the Elders managed to contain themselves, but the youths lost their calm when Klaus not only challenged anyone of them within two stages ahead of him, but he beat them so badly that three of them were frozen, and it was only with the help of Elders were they able to defrost them. Klaus was powerful no doubt, but his tongue seemed even stronger. The Faction Leader and the Elders from the Moonlight Faction stood at the front, while Klaus, being Klaus, stood just behind the Faction Leader, sizing up the group headed towards them. There were all ladies, three in total, and all three exuding an otherworldly aura as they approached the group from the Moonlight Faction. Leading the group was a young lady who looked to be around the same age group as Klaus, but she was already a Ninth stage Sovereign. When Klaus sensed this, he sucked in a deep breath, but his gaze didn't waver, nor did he seem too surprised. 'What's so special about you? If I call Grey over, he'll beat the shit out of you.' He thought internally after sizing up the young lady. He knew he wasn't her match, it didn't mean he didn't have someone who could deal with her. No matter how special any of these geniuses were, they all paled in comparison to his freakish friend. Even Grey's cat is more amazing than these people. Klaus turned his gaze from the young lady to the two women beside her. Both ladies were middle-aged looking women, but they could be confused for young ladies in their early twenties, if not for their aged eyes which seemed like they've experienced a thousand lifetimes, and their obviously much more mature bodies compared to the young lady, there would've been no way to easily differentiate them agewise.
Each one of these ladies had snow white hair, and even though they've not gotten close to him, Klaus could already sense the bone-chilling cold emanating from their bodies. The young lady leading the group had a warm smile on her face, seeing Klaus, she froze, her smile slowly turning into a frown as she gave the Faction Leader a look filled with both confusion and curiosity.
