Chapter 1: PEACE OR WAR?!
At the very top of the hill stands a massive tree—so enormous that, compared to other fully grown trees, it belongs in a category of its own. At its very roots lies a mansion, shrouded in thick fog. The eerie atmosphere is unsettling, with an absolute silence that defies common sense—not even the rustling of leaves can be heard. It's as if the place itself exists outside the realm of normality.
A lone figure approaches the mansion—an old man dressed in noble attire, leaning on a cane. As he reaches the mansion's gate, the tree's roots and vines shift, opening the entrance for him. He mutters to himself:
Eric: "Well, looks like I'm late. They're probably mad at me... Let's make haste."
Walking through the corridors of the mansion, he ascends to the fourth floor. As he opens the door to the meeting hall, a spear suddenly hurtles toward him. With a single hand, he catches it effortlessly.
Eric: "Oh, still as ferocious as ever. That spear throw was strong enough to pierce a mountain and carve a hole straight through to the other side."
A figure steps forward from the shadows.
Mysterious Man: "Well, aren't you late, Eric? Do you have any idea what time it is? Or what our agenda was supposed to be?"
Eric: "I ran into an old friend on the way here, that's all. And don't be like that, Datu Aklan. I'm only five minutes late."
As Eric speaks, he takes note of the other figures in the room—a woman with pointed ears, a mechanical automaton knight, and a dark figure wreathed in white miasma. He calmly takes a seat at the very center of the table. His crimson eyes glow as he speaks.
Eric: "Now… let's discuss how to end this war."
Meanwhile, at the headquarters of the Agimatayo 5th Company...
A person is asleep on the top bunk of a double-deck bed. Suddenly, the bed collapses beneath him.
"WAAAH!"
The person shrieks like a startled child.
Lea: Smirking "To think that Sir Eric's second-in-command is still sleeping this late... It's astonishing, really. You're going to ruin our company's reputation."
Andaya: Groaning "Well, good morning to you too, Lea. What happened while I was asleep?"
Lea: "The old man isn't back yet. And since you're his second-in-command, you'll be acting as the temporary leader of the 5th Company of Agimatayo until he returns."
Andaya: "Son of a—!!"
Andaya sighs, rubbing his temples in frustration. After a moment of thought, he stands up and stretches.
Andaya: "Tch. Alright, fine. So what's on the agenda for today?"
