Chapter 2: AGENDA

Lea and Andaya Walk along the side of the fields, the morning sun casting long shadows over the dewy grass. As they stroll, they discuss the agenda for the day while the farmers greet them with respect, recognizing them as prominent figures in the area.

Lea: "In the other companies, including our trainees, there are still those with no actual combat experience. So, we need you to join those below the rank of Pato and Panabla to help them. You can't refuse this—it was Eric himself who gave the command."

Andaya: "So that means I need to train the trainees of other companies in an actual combat zone?"

Lea: "Only the 7th and 3rd Companies asked us for training. They need to learn how to adapt and counter our enemies. Most of the time, we're the ones attacking them in their own territory, last time, someone attacked us on our own turf during the war over the Evil Sword Shard."

Andaya: "Yeah, that was when Eric became a Pato of the 5th Company. What about the other companies?"

Lea: "The remaining companies can handle it on their own. Their specialty is more in supporting the front lines. We may even ask them to teach us about modern technologies in the near future."

Andaya: "I'm looking forward to that. By the way, you mentioned the 7th and 3rd, right? Where are their Pato and Panabla?"

Lea: "They're waiting outside with their second-in-command, along with all of their Panabla, near Bringinan. They're prepared to provide support in case anything happens to Sir Eric. Bringinan has a different time flow compared to our reality—we don't know whether time moves slower or faster there. That's why Eric made this request."

Andaya: "How many groups do I need to train?"

Lea: "Only two groups, with three members each. They're considered strong candidates to become Panabla in the near future."

Andaya: "What about you? Are you coming with us?"

Lea: "No. As the Punong Albularyo of the 5th Company, I'm also responsible for training other potential candidates to become Panggulo."

Andaya: "Looks like I'll be training them solo. Anyway, where are we going?"

Lea: "There have been reports of pregnant women disappearing in a village in Visayas. It looks like the work of an aswang—specifically, a Tiktik. You know what that means—they can shapeshift, so be careful. According to rumors, a woman in her 20s disappeared, and two days later, her body was found cut in half, with the fetus missing. The two groups are already there, scouting and assessing the situation."

Andaya: "What's the exact location?"

Lea: "Around Mt. Igcoron in Antique. There's a barangay there called Barangay Binanogan, Valderrama. You can start there and ask about the incident. The rumors are vague, so we can't give you proper details about what happened. All I can say is that the enemy is prepared and knows we're coming, so proceed with caution. We can just erase their memories after you finish the mission."

Lea and Andaya stop walking, their eyes fixed on the old, small cottage in front of them. Lea steps forward and touches the door, whispering in an ancient Filipino dialect. She then writes a Baybayin symbol—ᜑᜍᜒᜅ᜔ᜇᜀᜈᜈ᜔—on the door using her own blood before knocking twice.

Lea: "You can enter now. Behind this door is one of our safe houses. It's about a 30-minute walk from there to the town of Valderrama. You know what to do. Good luck."

Andaya entered through the door, carrying only two vials of holy water, his butterfly knife, and a Talibong, a traditional Filipino sword. His appearance resembled that of a simple farmer, allowing him to blend in seamlessly with the locals.

Andaya: "Now, let's see what those kids have to offer."
