Almighty Father System

Leo and Lily returned home late in the evening, and the little girl was tired from moving around. After a few minutes, the young man changed his clothes and said, "Next weekend, try to accompany Clara and have their family buy a house nearby, they need to evict their current one."

Snow didn't say much and just nodded, before she said, "The meeting yielded some results."

Leo knew what meeting she was talking about and asked, "What was it?"

Snow picked up the file from the bed side table, and Leo read through it silently. At the end when he closed the file he sighed and said, "The only person planted by Luger's is Jimmy's father, old man Shelby, and his wife. The fact that Jimmy was an orphan and he was adopted is a shocker.

To think they would put on such an elaborated drama to get close to me. I was wondering why Jimmy was always so observant of Carole, because he was watching over his master."

Snow nodded and said, "Before I came into the picture, you and Carole were quite affluent, and you were a potential rival for him in the terms of business. I presume that Jimmy held back approaching you, because you were not yet a threat to him."

Leo nodded and said, "That does make sense. He did become a close friend after college entrance, before that he had come across to me at various part time jobs around Carole's family stores."

After a few seconds of silence, Leo's gaze turned cold and he said, "To think that he was so close to me and yet he was an enemy."

Snow shook her head and said, "He was not an enemy. He never acted against you, did he?"

Leo shook his head and said, "You think that just because he didn't act against us he is not an enemy? He probably knew better than the rest about your condition, he didn't come to help, it was not out of pity or soft heartedness, it was most likely that the Luger's didn't think you were valuable to them since you were carrying Lily."

Snow also realized that she was not being objective and cold enough. Jimmy Shelby was just a pawn that was controlled by Old Shelby and his wife, who were in turn controlled by the Lady in the Luger house.

She asked, "What do you want to do now?"

Leo thought for a bit and said, "Let us wait for a few days, I need to think about what is going on and take down Aron Rao before I can mingle with another enemy. We only have a couple of brains. If we fight with them all at the same time, it would cause us to make mistakes."

Snow nodded in understanding and said, "Tomorrow, the big launch event is going to be held, you still want to play Mister X?"

Leo shook his head and said, "Lily has asked me to go on stage without a mask because I would look handsome."

Snow chuckled and nodded, they chatted a little before going to bed. He didn't tell her that he intended to buy their old rented apartment and the complex around it to transform the place into an urban attraction and bring a new spark in the region.

The next morning, the trio was ready, and Anastasia stood at the door, as she said, "I am leaving to have a breakfast meeting with the old and powerful of the family. To be sure, I have only invited the ones that were not on the hate list."

Leo smiled and sipped the juice before saying, "Ma, you could have milked some money from them."

Anastasia snorted and said, "No need to use ill-gotten assets for charity. I am off."

From the day she had become head of the Cardinal Trust, she had regained great vitality. The family then got up from the table after finishing their meal, and Leo asked while he carried Lily's small bag outside, "Lily, why are you so quite?"

Snow had noticed this but Lily had refuse to tell her. Upon Leo's question, the little girl put her hands behind her back and said, "Baba, when you go on stage without a mask, would that mean a lot of people will recognize you?"

Leo nodded and said, "Yes, they will. Why do you ask?"

The family boarded the car, and as Leo sat in the driver's position, Lily said, "Baba, you should wear a mask only, and not let people recognize you."

Leo raised his brow and Snow asked, "Is it because someone would try to snatch your father away?"

Lily shook her head and said, "I have given all the Guard uncles a candy and asked them to prevent that from happening. However, I am worried that if the people start identifying Baba, and his work increased, how will he spend time with me."

Leo chuckled and said, "Nothing in this world can stop Baba from being with my baby. Okay? Don't worry, it will be fine and I will always be your Baba, first."

Lily looked at him from the back seat and asked, "You are not going to go on late night meetings? No party with partners? You will take care of Ma and Lily if they fall sick?"

Leo nodded profusely and asked, "Baby where is all this coming from?"

Snow was curious to know where this little girl cooked all these questions up. Lily said, "I heard from Grandma Anna, Sister Symphony's father is a phony business man, he used to do so many bad things because he was rich and later he left Sister Symphony and Aunt Clara."

Leo smiled and said, "Love, it is fine, I will not leave you both at all. Also, how about we go and visit Aunt Grisha after school?"

Snow raised her brows and Leo said, "She wants Lily to come in for an alteration check."

The lady nodded and Lily said, "If she gets me mochi sweets then yes."

Leo smiled as if he had achieved s0me thing big and said, "My dear, you can call her from Baba's phone and tell her what you want and from where you want it. She will not say no."

Snow sighed as she held her forehead in her palm. She whispered, as Lily dialed the number, "Petty Leo."

Leo chuckled and said, "This is payback for her mean treatment all the time. My daughter is my pride."

Lily smiled and said, "I love you too, Baba. When I grow up, none would be able to bully you."

Leo thanked her and the call also connected, Grisha yelled, "Leo Cardinal, do you think you own me? Look at the time, god damn it. Why are you disturbing me?"

Lily frowned and said calmly, "Hello, Aunt Grisha, good morning. My Baba told me that you needed me to come over in the noon, since you dislike us so much, I wish you a good day and goodbye."

That's all, the call was disconnected before Grisha could even process what just happened. Snow was stunned and she looked at Lily who tossed the phone aside and said, "Baba, if she calls you back, don't attend. Humph, she dares to yell at my Baba. Who does she thinks she is?"

Snow frowned and said, "Is this how you talk about elders behind their back?"

Lily shook her head and said, "Everyone who is born earlier is not an Elder Ma, you told me that. Also, she was the first one to yell on me. I still replied nicely."

Leo didn't say anything to Lily, Snow sighed and said, "Love, it was her fault, but if you bad mouth elders behind their backs it would become a bad habit. So from now on, you must not do that or the people would question how we as your parents allowed you to bad mouth elders, and call us bad parents."

Lily frowned and mumbled, "Bad adults, stupid people."

But she nodded to Snow, as the phone vibrated on the back seat. Lily had no intention to pick up the call just because her mother schooled her. The temper of the princess was not easy to handle.

After a few times, Snow found her phone ringing, and she looked at Lily before picking it up. The call connected, and Grisha was wailing on the other end, "Snowieeeeee, my god daughter has abandoned me!!!"

Snow sighed and said, "You scolded Leo before her, what else did you expect?"

Grisha asked softly, "Are you all together?"

Snow replied, "We are going to drop Lily to school. You can come over in the noon and talk to her like an adult and sort this out."

The lady nodded, and said, "I will come, what is the time?"

Snow told her the time and the call was disconnected, because Snow told Grisha that at the moment, Lily was very angry and Grisha should take the time to handle Leo.

At the school gate, Lily got down and Leo kissed her a dozen times before he praised her for teaching Grisha a lesson and at the same time told her not to talk bad about people behind their backs.

Lily told him she understood, and then said, "Baba, can you bring a cartoon box with you in the noon?"

Leo asked, "What for?"

He was curious, and the little girl said, "It is activity day, I am doing business today."

Leo smiled and asked, "Do you have enough capital?"
