Almighty Father System

Markus had broken both hands of Anton Greeves and left him writhing on the floor in pain. Everyone watched what happened on the side, and they didn't even make a sound. Leo watched it all with a rather indifferent gaze. He waited for Markus to stop before he asked, "Kyle, pick up this thing and we are leaving. Give him some morphine so that he doesn't die from the pain."

Kyle did what Leo told him to, and Makrus was looking at Leo with a questioning look, and the young man said, "You will have your revenge, but I will have mine first. I need him alive for this."

Markus nodded, and after a minute, they all left the compound. The men pillaged the gold and they could find from this place and set detonation charges in the armory and the other main spots of the city. Under the dark of the moonless night, they raced through the desert braving the cold winds, they reached where they had parked their vehicles, and then they drove back again.

Markus looked at Anton, who was passed out and laying in the back of the car, beside him as he asked, "Sir, what do you want to do with him?"

Leo replied, "Anton Greeves, that's his bogus identity. His real name is Kyfer Jurel. His father is the media mogul in Apex Nation, his mother was killed in a car crash by the hands of his father, Martin Jurel. Kyfer spent his life going through the system of foster housing. That is why he suffered a lot.

However, not all his experiences were bad, in his seventeenth year, he met a woman, Hailey Prestige. She became his solace, and he became her home. Despite her being thirty five, she took a liking to Kyfer, and they fell in a spiral of twisted love. After turning eighteen, Kyfer moved out because they didn't want the world to say that they were having a taboo relationship. Hailye was that cautious.

Then Kyfer travelled around, and eventually his high level street smart got him to be a drug peddler. He used the money to open a shop for renting DVDs, and Tapes. The shop also smuggled small amounts of cocaine to the people, and then he opened another store and then another, till one day, where Kyfer Jurel died in a car crash, and seventy three stores that were now dealing with DVD renting, and electronics sales, were given to.."

Markus replied in a daze, "Hailey Prestige."

Leo nodded and said, "Yes, Hailey Prestige. Once she took the business over, and walked on the gilded paths, her moral compass stopped working. Kyfer changed his face, and identity with the money he had and Hailey created a company which is worth several billion dollars now. Guess, which company?"

Markus thought for a bit, but he could not come up with a name so Leo smiled and replied, "Horizon Tele Networks, the woman behind the channel that was interviewing my daughter a few days ago. These people lately have started marking people, and threatening them to launder their black money earned from drug trade."

Markus was shocked and asked, "You mean to say that they targeted you to get their money laundered?"

Leo nodded in reply, and he turned to look on the horizon as the sun had started to peek through. They reached the territory of the person whom they had negotiated a safe passage with, and Saunder, paid half the gold they had looted from Anton's place as a gift and managed to get through.

The warlord didn't know how much gold they had, and thinking that Saunder was scared of him the warlord didn't make things difficult either and let them leave. They didn't need Anton, since he was captured by the enemy, he was no use to them.

The motorcade then drove to the first location where they changed clothes, took a bath in the lake, and put on clean clothes before handling the attire of their injured teammate and Anton. The latter was still knocked out because of the medicine given by Kyle, even Leo was shocked as to what this guy had done.

They crossed the border, and while their teammate was taken to the hospital, Anton was brough across by bribing the people. Leo said, "Markus, find a safe house. I want to deal with this quickly."

The man nodded and located an empty warehouse outside the city, and they set up cameras and tied Anton to a chair, as Markus sat before him with his face covered with a mask, and a device stuck inside to distort his voice.

Kyle splashed a bucket of icy water on the head of the knocked out man. The cold woke Anton up, and he looked around in a daze. Nobody rushed him, the people all watched him from the side. Markus heard a calm voice inside his ear, and said, "Are you awake, Kyfer Jurel?"

Anton looked at Markus in a daze, and asked, "What did you say?"

Markus replied, "Mister Kyfer Jurel, are you awake?"

Anton asked with a thoughtful expression, and Markus chuckled as he said, "It seems that you haven't used your real name in the past few years."

Anton frowned and replied, "I am Anton Greeves, and you have been holding me here against my will."

Markus shook his head and replied, "It is not us who wants to hold you here, but our employer. She wants you to be silenced."

Anton frowned hard and asked, "What are you talking about? Who is your employer? I will give you twice of what she is giving, let me go."

Markus chuckled and said, "Well, Mister Jurel, I doubt that Miss Pres..."

At this moment a cold voice sounded from the dark, "Shut up. Have you forgotten the rules?"

This voice really scared Markus, it belonged to Leo who had stopped commanding from outside, but was standing behind Anton. The latter wanted to turn around and see who was talking but apart from over his head, the entire place was shrouded in darkness. Leo said coldly, "Kill him and be done with it. We have to return back home and submit the proof."

Anton saw Markus take out a knife and he shivered. All these years he had survived by using his brain, because physically he was too vain. The man shivered and started to squeeze his brain as much as he could. People like him had a terrible will to live, and suddenly in this high tension situation he realized what Markus was about to say, and he abruptly said, "You mean to say that Hailey Prestige hired you all?"

Markus froze as he was about to stand up. Leo smirked in the dark, and after a few moments of silence, he said, "It does not make a difference even if you can figure out who hired us. Just die."

Anton froze, and then he sighed before chuckling, as he said, "Guess money and power can really corrupt people."

Markus snorted and asked, "Any last words?"

Anton shook his head and replied, "I did everything for her, all these years, it was her hunger for money that was growing and she did this to me, I should have expected something like this from her."

Leo asked, "So, the story that you faked your death and came over here to run deep in the drug world was all true?"

Anton nodded and asked, "She even told you this?"

Leo shrugged and said, "Well, she is fucking the boss's friend, so she has told many things."

Anton's fists clenched and he asked in disbelief, "She is doing someone else behind my back. Is she? That fucking whore!!"

The people in the room all narrowed their gazes as they didn't know Anton would react so intensely, Leo asked, "What do you mean behind your back? She was your foster mother, was she not?"

Anton slammed his foot on the ground hard, and he yelled, "She was my lover, you bastard, we are married. I have proof that she was fucking me when I was in foster care. She was my mistress, that bitch promised that she will never let another man enter her."

Anton began to ramble, and confessed everything about Hayley Prestige, and after a few minutes, when he finished speaking, Leo suddenly kicked the back of his head, and waved at the guy handling the camera, and after the recording stopped, he said, "Markus, send the people in the NSA a gift from our side, you can remove his hand first if you wish to. Also, after reaching home, bring your sister to the Angkor City, I have something that can change her life."

Markus was surprised and relieved for some reason. He took a deep breath and said, "Alright, Sir, I will do as you say. What do you need now?"

Leo beckoned the camera person, collected the memory card from it, and then said, "Disperse, I am heading back home, and I want you all to lay low for a while, make sure you are out of sight from the chaotic places for the next three months, a major wave is about to set off."

The people nodded and saluted him before Leo waved at Kyle and left the place. Marcus had already contacted the hotel staff, and the two of them concrete alibis, even if something came there way. It was noon, and Leo was sitting in the car heading to the airport, and he received a call with a smile.

On the other corner of the world, a blonde middle-aged lady was frowning in her office. She was holding a weirdly thick cellular device in her hand but the number she was trying didn't connect, this made her worry, and just when she was about to try something else, someone came in, and said, "President, the Secretary of the Congress is here to meet you."

Hayley put on a charming smile and said, "Alright, Cassie, I will be there right away."

She knew something has happened but this was not the right time to dwell on this, and she left her office.

Leo finished talking with Lily and assured her that he would be home by the evening. The young man contacted Ellyse, and said, "I am sending you a video clip, use your sources in the Apex, and verify the originality and authenticity of some key factors, before selling this footage to the second most powerful news channel in the Apex nation exclusively."

Ellyse agreed, and she said, "Sir, the Lickey Land venue in the Jade Country has been reserved for the first of the next month, the reservation is made for a week."

Leo nodded and said, "Ellyse, thank you, also, invite all the major employees and seventy five person of the ground level on my behalf, from all the places. Arrange their commute to the place, I want to share my happiness with them all."

Ellyse smiled and replied, "It would be as you say, Sir. Thank you for being so generous."

Leo shook his head and disconnected his call.

'Ping: Host, it has been detected that you made a deep plan to punish the person who was responsible for the plight that your daughter faced. This affirms that deep down, you still value your family more than anything. The system would like to promote your stats with two points permanently. Keep working hard host.'

Leo felt a warm current gush through his body and he said, "Thank you for your support, System. It is what I should do for the ones who are the reason of my peace. For them to be happy, I can burn this world to ashes, let alone killing a few scum."

With that, he got busy sending the clip to Ellyse, and looked forward to what Hayley Prestige was going to do about this situation.

Leo got in the plane and took off towards the Angkor Nation, unaware that his deed in Anton's territory had shocked the warlords of the Barren Sea, and they were shivering. The person whom Saunder had contacted provided them the information of Leo's stature. They had no other information other than his cold eyes, and so, he was named, Death Gaze.
