Chapter 52: The Monarch's call
**Earth-66, 2013**
Peter closed his eyes, sighed, and took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself down. Gwen sat beside him on the sofa with her hands wrapped around his hands silently.
In front of them sat Cassandra Webb—Madame Web—smiling from her wheelchair.
Now calmer, Peter asked, "So, who is this Spider Bride…? No, let me do you one better. Why are you here, and what do you want from me?"
Madame Web's smile remained but her tone grew serious. "Now you're thinking with your brain." Her expression darkened. "I'm here to warn you."
Peter deadpanned at her, while Gwen mirrored his expression. "Are you serious?" she asked.
Madame Web nodded. "You should know about my powers, right, Peter?"
Peter, being a reincarnator with knowledge of various Spider-Man stories from movies and animations, naturally knew about her abilities. But they didn't need to know that. So, he simply nodded.
Madame Web continued, "With my powers, I serve as a guide for different Spider-Man variants, helping them with some of their problems. But your case is… different. As you know, I can see into the future."
Gwen raised an eyebrow. "I've already heard about the canon event stuff. But isn't Peter supposed to be an anomaly? His life shouldn't follow a fixed path."
Madame Web nodded. "It's true. His future is not constant, and predicting it is nearly impossible. But what I see is not the canon events, Gwen. But real future which can happen if no changes are done in the present. Normally, I can't predict the future of anomalies. However, I've seen countless iterations of your future, Peter… and it will be challenging. You're going to face battles, each enemy stronger than the last."
Peter's expression hardened, while Gwen tensed beside him with her grip on Peter's hand tightening.
"And soon," Madame Web continued, "you'll be dragged into a cosmic battle for the survival of the entire multiverse. It would be best to increase your strength—and that of your partners."
Peter processed her words carefully and his mind is racing with possibilities of whom he'll face.
Madame Web smirked. "The reason I stopped you from killing Miguel is simple—we need him in the coming battles."
Peter's brows furrowed.
"As shitty as he is," she admitted, "he and the Spider Society will be crucial. They bring together Spider-People from across the multiverse, and their strength in numbers will be invaluable, of course, we can also count your symbiote army but you're going to need all the help you can get."
Gwen, however, wasn't ready to take everything at face value. "How do we know we can trust you?" she asked in sharp tone, "Maybe you're lying to manipulate us."
Madame Web met Gwen's gaze and her expression is unwavering. "I'm not asking you to trust me, but I'm not lying either. In every future I've glimpsed, No matter the path, Peter's involvement in the Multiversal War is inevitable. That's why I'm telling you both—grow stronger. Gain allies. It will help in the future."
Gwen's concern deepened but Peter managed a small smile. "Alright," he said while leaning forward. "Now, can you tell me if you had any involvement in the events of Earth-2149Z?"
He needs to know if she's involved in the disappearance of some of the Avengers of that Earth.
Madame Webb sighed. "I had no part in that, Peter. But…"
She paused and her lips curling into a teasing smile. "You'll get your hands on the stone you're looking for. And… a new host."
Gwen's eyes narrowed. She released Peter's hand and turned to him.
Peter sighed. "You mentioned the Spider Bride… It's who I think it is, isn't it?"
Madame Web nodded. "Yes." She smirked again. "And thanks for not trying to peek into my mind. Now, if you'll excuse me…"
She pressed a hidden knob on her wheelchair. A portal opened behind her. "Goodbye, Spider Couple."
Her wheelchair moved backward, pulling her into the portal, which closed behind her.
Now Gwen and Peter were left alone.
Peter didn't use his telepathic powers earlier since he knows she also had them too. But he can crush her mind and get everything he wanted but he chose not to do that. It is better to be safe and treat others who had powers with respect before using force. Though it was a different case with Lorna.
As he is thinking, Gwen quickly turned to him. "So… you're getting another girl, aren't you?" she said in half-teasingly and half-accusatory tone, "As if Jean and the cat girl weren't enough."
Peter blinked in surprise. "Excuse me, Ms. Stacy. She just told us about a Multiversal War, and that's what you're focusing on?"
Gwen shrugged. "I think instead of worrying about the war, we should prepare. And knowing you, we will be prepared. Besides, it's not like we can stop it. So, it's pointless to worry about it."
Peter smiled at her maturity. "You're right. It's better to focus on preparing instead of stressing over the future." His eyes now had more resolve than before.
Gwen then folded her arms and her expression shifted again. "But we should focus on other issue, which is you collecting more women, and I know that number is only going to grow. So, be honest with me, Mr. Parker—how many women have you set your eyes on?"
Peter smirked and reached out to hug her, but she stepped back, blocking him. "Tell me," she demanded.
He sighed. "Currently… You, Jean, and maybe Black Cat…"
Gwen raised an eyebrow. "And?"
Peter hesitated. "A girl from another universe… It's been about seven months there since we met."
Gwen groaned. "So that's another one. Peter Parker, you are such a playboy."
Peter grinned while stepping forward and pulling her into his arms. "And yet, you fell for this playboy."
Gwen scowled. "Damn it, Peter." She squirmed in his hold but didn't resist too much.
Peter tightened his embrace and lifted her face to met her eyes with his. "We're soul-bonded, Gwen. You know how much I love and care for you. And I know how much you love me. No matter how many women I end up with in the future… You will always be irreplaceable in my heart."
Gwen stopped struggling, feeling the sincerity in his emotions through their bond. She then hugged him back while resting her head against his chest. "You're such a jerk," she muttered. "But… a good jerk."
Peter smiled, holding her close as they stayed in each other's embrace.
But her response caught him off guard, "You smell nice suddenly." As she hugged him tighter.

**Earth-199999**
It had been seven months since Peter arrived in this universe, and for once, life was good. He decided to take some time off and enjoy himself, blending into this world without too much trouble.
This universe was like an alternate version of the MCU, with a few minor differences.
After the battle with Ultron, Thor had left Earth, saying he needed answers about certain things. Not long after, Tony Stark decided to step away from the front lines, leaving Steve fully in charge of the Avengers. Bruce, seeking peace, accepted Tony's offer of a private villa on a secluded island, away from all the chaos, he offered Natasha to come with him, but she said she'll stay here for awhile.
Nick Fury, on the other hand, had paid Peter a visit. Wanting to gauge him, but Fury quickly learned that Peter wasn't someone to mess with. Peter didn't literally open his mind to him, but he made it very clear what he was capable of if provoked. The display scared the hell out of Fury. However, after the Ultron ordeal, he wasn't eager to start another conflict. He left without saying much but was clearly considering contacting Carol Danvers.
For now, Peter was staying at the newly built Avengers headquarters.
Though he wasn't an Avenger, they all wanted to keep him close—not out of distrust, but out of sheer caution. Any rational person in their position would do the same.
Despite this, Peter had become good friends with Wanda and Pietro. He helped both of them train their abilities, and over time, he and Wanda grew particularly close. They spent a lot of time together than anyone on this building, with Wanda showing an increasing interest in magic.
However, Peter noticed something strange—Wanda had started sticking a little too close during their magic sessions.
One day, he finally asked her why.
Her response? "You just… smell nice."
Then she blushed furiously and ran away, leaving Peter completely baffled.
Later, he asked Raphael about it. Her answer had him laughing, "Because you've absorbed so much Spider people DNA and now have an Asgardian archano-Titan physique, your body constantly gives off a scent that attracts women. Especially with Spider women varients."
Peter found it amusing, but it certainly explained why Wanda had been acting differently.
For now, though, he wasn't too worried. Life was peaceful, and he was actually enjoying his time here.

**Earth-2149Z**
In the streets of New york, A blue portal crackled open, and three figures tumbled out before it snapped shut behind them.
The first to rise was a woman in a sleek blue suit, her blonde hair framing a strikingly beautiful face. She glanced at the other two, concern etched in her features. "Are you alright?" she asked.
The second figure, a woman in a torn Spider-Man suit that clearly accentuated her athletic build with huge breasts, pushed herself up while clutching her head. "I'm good," she said, while looking around, "Looks like we've successfully escaped that universe." She turned to the third woman and asked in soft tone, "What about you, Cindy? Are you okay?"
The third woman, with black hair and a determined expression, stood with the help of the blonde. In her hand, she clutched a glowing blue cube embedded in a device with a yellow stone at its handle. "Yeah, I'm fine," Cindy replied with her eyes fixed on the device. "This thing… it's really an infinity stone, isn't it?"
The blonde woman smiled faintly. "Seems like it. According to Vision, this universe is where we can find help. We can hide here and gather the resources we need."
The Spider-suited woman, Petra, suddenly tensed. "Guys… you might want to look around."
Cindy frowned. "What's wrong, Petra?"
The trio turned their attention to their surroundings, and their hearts sank. They were surrounded by shadowy figures—creatures with grotesque, toothy grins and writhing tongues. Some of them wielded terrifying abilities: one manipulated fire, while another emitted a chilling, icy aura.
"Cindy, are you sure this is the right universe?" the blonde woman, Susan, asked with her voice tinged with unease. She raised her hands and is ready to fight, but the sheer number of enemies made her doubt their chances.
"I'm sure," Cindy replied while gripping the device with Tesseract tightly. "Vision said this would take us to his universe. We were supposed to call for help before he…" She trailed off.
"Petra, get over here!" Susan called out. "We need to get out of here before it's too late."
Petra hurried to their side and her eyes are scanning the encroaching horde. "These are symbiotes," she muttered. "What the hell happened here?"
Suddenly, the Tesseract's glow flickered and dimmed, as if something—or someone—was suppressing its power. The symbiote army began closing in and their movements are slow but deliberate.
Susan raised her hands, and a shimmering force field enveloped the trio. "Do something, quick!" she urged. "I don't know how long I can hold them off."
Petra and Cindy both gripped the device with Tesseract, but its glow remained faint, the stone seemingly drained of energy. "It's not working!" Cindy's voice wavered.
Petra's frustration boiled over. "Damn it! Why isn't it activating?!"
A mechanical and sharp voice echoed from above. "Because an infinity stone from one universe can't be used in another."
The trio looked up to see a black-clad figure descending from the sky, landing with a heavy thud. He rose to his full height and his appearance sending a shockwave through the group.
Petra's eyes widened. "What the hell? Iron Man in a symbiote suit?"
The figure shook his head. "I'm not Iron Man. I'm Shadow, one of the commanders of the Obsidian Legion." His voice was calm but commanding. "I'm here under orders from my liege to bring you to him—unharmed. You can trust me. Come with me, and I'll ensure your safety."
"As if we'd believe you!" Petra snapped, but Cindy held up a hand to stop her.
"Maybe we should hear him out," Cindy said cautiously. "We're surrounded, and the Tesseract isn't working. We don't have many options."
Susan nodded in agreement. "She's right. We can't fight our way out of this, and we can't teleport. If we want answers, we need to go with them."
Petra sighed in frustration. "Fine. But don't say I didn't warn you."
Susan lowered her force field, and Shadow gave a small, approving smile. "A wise choice. Now, let's go. The Monarch of the Symbiotes is waiting."
With a wave of his hand, the group was enveloped in a dark blue energy, and in an instant, they were teleported away.

A/N: Should I add Petra Parker, a female version of Spider man, Susan Storm and Death to the harem. Making a total and final 8 members in the harem or should I change it. I'm thinking of adding a total of seven or eight members in the Harem.
Comment your suggestions.
