Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me

Chapter 345: When Is My Marriage?

After their conversation ended, they went their separate ways again.

The Lionheart family had their own palace, and Andreas and Ilaris would stay there until the end of the auction.

Naturally, Daniel also returned to the inn, though before going back, he took a glance at the jewel Andreas had given him.

Aside from its black color streaked with hints of purple, the jewel seemed completely ordinary.

But that was exactly the problem—it only appeared ordinary, yet there was nothing ordinary about it.

The most important reason was that the jewel did not conduct mana or any kind of energy.

That alone was strange. There were indeed jewels that didn't conduct mana, but each of those was very well-known and extremely valuable.

However, this stone? No one knew what it was or where it came from.

Andreas himself said that Ilaris had found the jewel on the first floor of the tower when she was clearing it.

Ilaris had given it to him, and he decided to pass the stone to Daniel.

The reason was simple—this diamond-shaped jewel gave him the exact same feeling Daniel gave him.

It had a very unique aura, exactly like Daniel's, as if both came from the same source and were made of the same thing.

He thought Daniel might be pleased to receive it.

And he was right.

Even though Daniel said during their talk that he didn't know what the jewel was, he actually had a pretty good idea of what it could be.

[ You have obtained a fragment of the Heart of God ]

[ Count: 3/6 ]

"What a pleasant surprise," a smile appeared on his face.

It seemed that fate—or someone up above—wanted him to obtain the Heart of God as soon as possible.

And now he was even more curious about what exactly the Heart of God was.

Was it really just a coincidence that Ilaris managed to find this thing on the first floor of the tower?

Especially when he was looking for them?

He doubted it…

"Maybe the person who wrote that letter knows," he murmured to himself.

After Kaelos suddenly disappeared, he had found a letter in his pocket.

The letter summarized the events that had taken place, and more importantly, it asked Daniel to come see her once he was strong enough.

But how strong was "strong enough"? And where exactly was he supposed to go?

He had no idea—not even a guess.

With a sigh, he decided to set those thoughts aside for now and returned to the inn to get some rest.

In the afternoon, he was supposed to go out again with the other two and look around.

The auction would start tomorrow, and until then, there wasn't much else to do.

After resting for a while, he used his communication talisman to contact Andreas and asked for their location.

They agreed to meet in the city center.

Daniel didn't waste time and went there.

Finding the city center was fairly easy since there was a huge statue marking it.

It was a statue of one of the heroes—a hero who had saved this city from destruction.

"Hey, Daniel!" Suddenly, a voice from afar caught his attention.

"So you finally came," he turned around and saw Andreas and Ilaris.

"So, what do you want to do? Is there any place you think we should visit?"

"Well, in the time I've been here, I've more or less explored the city. There's nothing particularly interesting, but it's still a beautiful place," Daniel replied lazily.

In the end, the three decided to just wander around the city until nightfall.

They slowly strolled through the streets, visiting the tourist attractions along the way.

For Daniel and Andreas, they weren't that impressive, but for Ilaris, they were truly beautiful.

She had always dreamed of traveling the world, seeing different sights, experiencing different cultures and ways of life.

And now, she finally had the chance to experience it here.

Her eyes sparkled with joy throughout the whole walk, like stars in the night sky.

Andreas also watched her with a smile—a smile that hid a deeper intent.

'I felt it before, but… has this guy fallen in love with Ilaris?' Daniel noticed the look in his eyes and thought to himself.

Honestly, it didn't matter much to him—it wasn't really his business anyway.

But the problem was that neither of their identities was simple.

One was a boy aiming to become the heir of one of the continent's most powerful families.

The other was a girl destined to rule over the elven race, with practically the entire race hunting her down to capture her.

'I doubt either side would allow something like that,' he scratched his head slightly.

Worse still, marriage between humans and elves was strictly considered taboo.

Elves valued racial purity extremely highly, forbidding and condemning any mixing of blood with other races.

Any elf who did so was executed without regard for their status.

For humans, it didn't matter much—in fact, humans generally accepted all races and were willing to mix bloodlines.

However, even human leaders had forbidden marriage with elves.

Naturally, this was to reciprocate the elves' stance.

Because of that, Daniel was a bit concerned about their future—if their feelings deepened, it would definitely cause major trouble.

Given their identities, such a situation could even spark a war.

He sighed and decided not to dwell on it for now, since Andreas's feelings seemed to be one-sided.

As long as Ilaris didn't feel the same, there wouldn't be any problem.

But even if that changed, there wouldn't be much he could do.

Stopping the flow of fate wasn't that easy, and the only thing he could do was support them.

'Now that I think about it, even this guy has found someone to love… so when will it be my turn? When will I get married?' he grumbled to himself.

Still, it wasn't as if falling in love would be that easy for him…

"Well, it's almost midnight. We should head back and rest. Tomorrow's going to be a long day," he said, glancing up at the sky.

"I agree," Andreas replied.

Ilaris seemed a little reluctant, but when they told her they could explore the city again after the auction, she agreed.

They were about to part ways and return to the inn, but something unexpected happened.

"And who exactly are you guys?" Daniel frowned at the black-clad figures blocking their path.
