Becoming the Strongest as a Game Dev

Chapter 67: Chapter 67

Sam finishes drawing the concept art for the Bayonetta simulation. He depicts Jeanne, Luka, Rodin, and Enzo. He also draws the antagonist, Balder. Sam creates designs for the angels and infernal demons as well. Yuna assists with designing some of the angels and infernal demons, as well as the stages.

Unlike Devil May Cry, where the story is set in a single city, Bayonetta's adventure takes her to different locations, so the C-Rank Simulation Gem provided by Aria will be sufficient.

Sam beams with pride as he presents the concept art for the Bayonetta simulation to Yuna. She examines the detailed drawings, her eyes widening with admiration.

"Wow, Sam, these are incredible!" Yuna exclaims, tracing the intricate lines of Jeanne's imposing figure. "She looks like Bayonetta's perfect rival."

"Jeanne is Bayonetta's childhood friend and fellow Umbra Witch. They have a complex relationship, often at odds but bound by an unbreakable bond."

Yuna moves on to the sketch of Luka, a roguish man with an eyepatch.

"And this must be the comic relief you mentioned. He has such a charming, rogue-like quality to him."

"Yeah," Sam confirms. "Luka is a persistent journalist who harbors a grudge against Bayonetta, believing she's responsible for his father's death. But he also serves as a human anchor, grounding the story amidst the supernatural chaos."

Yuna's gaze shifts to the burly figure of Rodin, the weapons dealer. "Ah, I see. Rodin is where Bayonetta obtains her arsenal, as well as a source of information about the angels and demons."

"Yes, Rodin is a key ally, providing Bayonetta with the tools she needs to overcome her foes. He's a complex character with his own agenda."

Finally, Yuna examines the sketch of the jovial-looking Enzo. "And this must be the comic relief and occasional sidekick you mentioned."

"That's right," Sam says. "Enzo is a bumbling, but well-meaning, character who often finds himself caught up in Bayonetta's adventures, much to his dismay."

"These are a fun cast of characters, Sam."

"I'm glad you think so. Shall we get started on bringing them to life in the simulation?"

He retrieved the C-Rank Simulation Gem Aria had provided, holding it up between them.

"With this, we can dive right in."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's do this!"

Together, they stepped forward, their consciousness enveloping the gem as they entered the world of Bayonetta.

The vast, white expanse of the simulation space greets them. Sam takes a deep breath, feeling the familiar rush of creativity. He turns to Yuna, a grin spreading across his face.

"Alright, let's get started. Let's first start making the main cast."

Yuna asks Sam if she can make Bayonetta and Jeanne. "Sam, can you leave making Bayonetta and Jeanne to me? Please~" Yuna makes puppy eyes.

"sigh Fine... you can make them," said Sam.

"Yay! Thank you, Sam!"

Yuna goes to a corner and begins sculpting Bayonetta and Jeanne's figures. Sam focuses on his own task and starts sculpting the appearances of Luka, Enzo, Rodin, and Baldur.

He begins with Luka, envisioning the roguish journalist's messy brown hair, bright blue eyes, and casual attire. His posture is confident, and his mischievous grin aims to convey his persistent nature.

Next, Sam turns his attention to the jolly, bumbling Enzo. He crafts the character's jovial expression, round features, and disheveled appearance, ensuring Enzo's comedic presence is well-established.

Rodin, the enigmatic weapons dealer, stands tall and imposing. Sam sculpts the burly, bald figure, accentuating his commanding presence. Rodin has a cigar in his hand and wears dark shades to hide his eyes. His muscular build is noticeable even through his brown coat.

Finally, Sam focuses on Baldur, the formidable Lumen Sage. He carefully constructs the angular features, piercing golden eyes, and flowing ceremonial robes that convey Baldur's regal and menacing aura.

As Sam works, he occasionally glances over to Yuna, who is engrossed in her own task of bringing Bayonetta and Jeanne to life. He has high expectations that Yuna will be able to capture Bayonetta and Jeanne's essence.

Sam then begins sculpting the Infernal Beasts. The Infernal Beasts are one of his favorite aspects of the Bayonetta game. He always admired their massive, awe-inspiring forms when Bayonetta summons them.

He begins with Madama Butterfly, envisioning her towering, regal figure. Sam carefully crafts her shimmering purple skin, the intricate patterns adorning her dress, and her magnificent butterfly-like wings. He imbues her with an aura of elegance and power.

Next, Sam turns his attention to Gomorrah, the colossal dragon-like demon. He sculpts the creature's hulking, armored body, its glowing red eyes, and its gaping maw filled with razor-sharp teeth. The Gomorrah's presence radiates raw, primal strength.

As Sam continues, he brings Phantasmaraneae to life - a giant, nightmarish spider with a sleek, obsidian-black exoskeleton and crimson markings. Its many eyes glint with malicious intelligence, and its spindly legs are poised to strike.

Sam's fingers move with precision as he crafts the dark, menacing form of Malphas, the raven-like demon. Its sleek black feathers and shadowy flames tipping its wings evoke a sense of ominous power.

Hekatoncheir, the hundred-armed horror, emerges from Sam's imagination next. He sculpts the colossal, muscular torso and the countless clawed hands that radiate pure, unbridled strength.

Finally, Sam brings Scolopendra to life - a massive, centipede-like demon with a segmented body covered in iridescent, dark red and gold chitin.

As Sam completes each Infernal Beast, he steps back to admire his creations, a sense of satisfaction filling him. These towering demons will be Bayonetta's ultimate weapons in her battles against the angelic forces of Paradiso.

Sam looks at Yuna, a proud smile on his face.

"How's it going over there?" he asks, gesturing to the figures she's sculpting.

Yuna glances up from her work, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"It's going well! I'm really happy with how Bayonetta and Jeanne are turning out." She pauses, her gaze shifting to the detailed models Sam has already completed.

"How are you finished with them already?"

"Well, I couldn't let you have all the fun, could I? I'm going to start working on the Gates of Hell. Tell me when you're finished with Bayonetta and Jeanne."

The two developers continue their work, their creativity and passion fueling the creation of this immersive world.
