Chapter 232 Subterranean Forces Shift_2
"I advise you not to try to reach for your weapons; that would only ensure I take you out first."
Lin Beichen moved toward the two men with a harmless smile on his face. The two men were dressed in black suits, clearly professional hitmen.
"Although I really want to know who sent you, I guess you two won't tell me, right?"
Lin Beichen stopped about two meters away from them and spoke to himself.
While speaking, Lin Beichen's expression turned pensive, and the two men looked at him as if he were a lunatic.
"Since you won't tell me anything, I might as well take care of you directly."
Upon hearing Lin Beichen's words, the two men revealed expressions of surprise.
They had seen exaggerated situations before, but it was their first time encountering someone as over-the-top as Lin Beichen. He hadn't asked anything yet stated they wouldn't say a word, using it as a reason to solve them.
Anyone in their position would wonder if their target had escaped from a mental hospital or was the reincarnation of a famous movie character.
"So, do you want to chat with me, or do you prefer dying by my hand?"
This simple sentence angered the two men, as if Lin Beichen could easily dispose of them in his eyes.
"Do you even know why we're here?"
One of the two men, with green tattoos on his face, said sternly to Lin Beichen.
"If I guessed correctly, you probably aim to keep me here, don't you?"
Lin Beichen smiled slightly, showing no signs of worry.
The tattooed man became more serious upon hearing Lin Beichen's response. Their orders were to capture Lin Beichen, and if not, kill him.
But even though Lin Beichen guessed their intention, he remained calm and untroubled. This meant either his strength surpassed theirs, or he was too foolish to understand fear.
Compared to the former, the tattooed man hoped Lin Beichen was the latter, making their task much easier.
"Since you already know, how dare you stay here so relaxed? I wonder what's inside the heads of you Dragon Country people!"
As the tattooed man spoke, he signaled his thin companion beside him. The thin man started moving slowly toward Lin Beichen.
But the tattooed man didn't realize that his words had sealed their fate in Lin Beichen's mind.
Lin Beichen's expression sharpened at the man's latter sentence, which was a huge insult to him.
"I intended to have a good chat with you, at least to extract information about your boss."
Suddenly, Lin Beichen shook his head, his face showing helplessness.
"But if someone seeks death, there's nothing I can do."
The moment Lin Beichen finished, the tattooed man saw a black blur flash before him, followed by intense pain in his stomach as Lin Beichen punched him.
The severe stomach cramps caused the tattooed man to hunch over, clutching his stomach. Lin Beichen then swept his leg and knocked the man down. The tattooed man curled up on the ground, trembling like a cooked shrimp.
Meanwhile, the thin man seized the chance to draw a short dagger from his waist, aiming at Lin Beichen's back.
But as he thrust the dagger, Lin Beichen vanished in front of his eyes. If the thin man hadn't reacted quickly, his dagger would have pierced the tattooed man's body.
"With such skills, you dare to be hitmen? I wonder if your boss looks down on me or has no better subordinates."
Lin Beichen's mocking voice came from behind the thin man. As he turned, he saw Lin Beichen's face, half smiling, right in front of him.
In the thin man's eyes, if he had taken a larger step, his mouth might have touched Lin Beichen's face.
"I can give you one last chance. Tell me who your boss is."
Suddenly, Lin Beichen extended his right hand, grabbed the thin man's neck, and pressed him against the wall.
Lying in pain on the ground, the tattooed man stammered.
"You can't...you mustn't tell him...or the boss won't...spare us..."
"Noisy."
Lin Beichen frowned slightly, his playful demeanor gone. Suddenly, electric currents wrapped around his left hand. He flicked his hand toward the tattooed man, causing him to scream like a slaughtered pig.
In just two breaths, the tattooed man's body turned into charred remains from the electrocution. This sight terrified the thin man, causing yellow foul-smelling liquid to flow between his legs.
Lin Beichen shook his head in disgust and said to the man before him.
"I'll give you one last chance. If you don't want to end up like him..."
"I'll talk! I'll say everything!"
The man's voice cracked, almost crying, as he shouted hysterically.
Five minutes later, Lin Beichen walked from the passage into a normal street, holding a phone. As the call connected, he spoke.
"Dongchuan Ichiro, have someone investigate; it seems your clan can't stand it anymore. Arrange someone to handle the two corpses in the passage."
Through the phone, Lin Beichen briefly explained the situation. On the other side, Dongchuan Ichiro was relieved Lin Beichen was safe and felt excitement.
This proved Lin Beichen's strength once again, reassuring his ability to help with the clan's troubles.
"Rest assured, someone will handle the corpses in the passage."
Dongchuan Ichiro responded promptly.
"If you have reliable forces around you, have them act. The three giants of the underground forces should be moving soon."
Though Lin Beichen didn't explain fully, he believed Dongchuan Ichiro would understand his implication. If not, he shouldn't be the leader of the Dongchuan Clan.
"So you mean..."
Dongchuan Ichiro's voice trembled from sudden happiness, unsure what to do.
"I didn't say anything. This has nothing to do with me."
"Yes, yes, this has nothing to do with you."
Dongchuan Ichiro nodded hurriedly.
After hanging up, Lin Beichen found himself near a coffee shop. Enjoying the surroundings, he walked in directly.
He discovered that the coffee shop allowed reading while drinking coffee, with both traditional and simplified Dragon Country books.
Lin Beichen ordered a cup of coffee, grabbed a book, and sat by the window. Time passed, and night fell quickly.
Through the glass window, Lin Beichen saw several cars parked near a bar entrance. Then, dozens of men in black suits rushed into the bar.
Soon, chaotic shouts echoed from the bar, and many fled, covered in blood.
Watching this, Lin Beichen's lips curled into a faint smile. Stirring his coffee, he muttered to himself.
"I didn't expect the Black Dragon Association to act so swiftly. How much territory you can claim depends on your skills."
The same scene unfolded across Tokyo Metropolitan Area's 12 districts, where all underground entertainment venues were simultaneously attacked by unknown forces.
