Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Escaping with the master disciple pair who hadn't yet realized what was happening, Xuan Hao found himself analyzing his current situation. Although he should have drawn the attention of a demon beast comparable to the Land Creation Realm, it wasn't entirely unmanageable, as the demon beast in question was still deep in the Verdant Abyss and would take a long time before it could catch up to him.

Depending on how fast the demon beast was, there was even a chance for him to get out of the Verdant Abyss before the demon beast even had the chance to reach him. At which point, there would be no way for the demon beast to catch up to him, as he would be able to make full use of the Dao of Space again.

Of course, unless the demon beast now targeting him was somehow able to track him like the spiritual tree had done or had a comprehension equal to his own when it came to the Dao of Space. Neither of which seemed like they would happen…

Rumble~

"Huh?"

But before he could continue thinking about how he would be able to safely escape after leaving the Verdant Abyss by relying on the Dao of Space, the presence of the demon beast that had emerged from the depths of the Verdant Abyss seemed to erupt a second time. Only, this time around, the explosion of power came with a rapid increase in speed, as Xuan Hao could clearly sense the demon beast chasing him rapidly closing in on him.

Even relying on the Illusory Light Steps that allowed his speed to get close to the Land Creation Realm, it was negligible compared to the speed of the demon beast chasing after him, as he quickly realized that he would only have a few minutes before the other party managed to catch up to him. Far from enough to get out of the Verdant Abyss.

Just how powerful is this demon beast… Or was I perhaps unlucky enough to provoke a demon beast specialized in speed?

Wondering this to himself as he understood that there would be no way for him to outrun the demon beast chasing after him, Xuan Hao found himself going through countless scenarios of how to deal with his current situation. Unfortunately, given the difference in strength, he couldn't come up with any solution.

As for Huo Fen and Meng Jie whom he was carrying along with him? Those two stood even less of a chance of surviving the current situation, as with him being forced into a life and death battle, there would be little he could do to keep the two of them alive… And considering that the strength of the demon beast and himself, it was almost certain that Huo Fen and Meng Jie would end up being killed off by the shockwaves of their battle.

Even if he did try to protect them, it might draw the attention of the demon beast, who could take advantage of the situation to target the two of them to force him into making a mistake it could take advantage of.

All of this was of course considering that he would be able to at least hold out in the face of the demon beast for a bit.

If it was truly at the same level as the spiritual tree and had reached the Half Step Star Creation Realm, there would be no chance for him to fight back in the slightest and the most he would be able to do was try and forcibly take a few hits while attempting to steer the battle out of the Verdant Abyss where he would be able to escape through the use of the Dao of Space.

"Hm? That is…"

However, just when he was about to give up on keeping the master disciple pair around and planned to throw them far away so they could potentially avoid being targeted by the demon beast, while he could make a last ditch attempt to burn part of his vitality to hopefully get out of the Verdant Abyss after a few exchanges with the demon beast chasing him from behind, he noticed a large gathering of powerful cultivators appearing at the edge of his divine sense, but that was far from the important point…

"Land Creation Realm!"

Instead, it was the fact that one of the powerful cultivators up ahead had reached the Land Creation Realm, a terrifying figure who undoubtedly stood at the pinnacle of the continent.

But in this situation, the important thing was that this Land Creation Realm cultivator had clearly come along with a large expeditionary force to venture deep into Verdant Abyss.

The reason for this didn't matter much to Xuan Hao who didn't understand much about the Verdant Abyss outside of the danger that lurked inside the place. Instead, the important thing was that this expeditionary force with a Land Creation Realm cultivator in the lead was just what he needed to help him get rid of the powerful demon beast chasing after him.

Rumble-!

The problem was, even though he really wanted to make use of the expeditionary force and have them deal with the powerful demon beast for him, there was no way to do so by simply flying past the other party, as the Land Creation Realm cultivator leading the expeditionary force had already noticed him and in turn also the demon beast that was chasing after him. Clearly also understanding his intentions as he had already fully manifested his strength to form an impenetrable wall that would be impossible to force his way through.

Instead of him taking advantage of the expeditionary force to help get rid of the demon beast chasing after him, it had quickly turned into the expeditionary force deciding to take advantage of him to try and test or potentially weaken the demon beast enough for them to kill later without much effort on their part.

But…

Troublesome as this might be, the situation wasn't entirely helpless, as he still had a way to ensure the expeditionary force would lend him a hand in fending off the demon beast chasing after him…
