Danmachi: The Sign In System!

Chapter 184: Orsted's Victory

"Then, I'll set off."

The ninth day, Orsted stood before Hearth Manor, bidding Hestia and the others farewell with a gentle smile.

"Safe travels, Orsted!"

"Lord Orsted, may your strength shine!"

"Orsted…"

"Lord Orsted."

The Hestia Familia members said their goodbyes one by one.

Orsted nodded, then vanished with Instant.

Paparazzi-like onlookers lingered outside Hearth Manor, treating him like a celebrity.

He had no patience for them, so he left it to Lili and the others to handle.

He didn't Instant all the way to Babel, just using it to escape the manor, then walked leisurely.

After half an hour, he arrived.

Loki Familia's impending expedition had drawn a crowd of curious adventurers to Babel, eager to witness the grand departure.

Loki's members, along with Hephaestus Familia's smiths, were gathered in the square but hadn't moved.

The crowd was puzzled—everyone was present, so why the delay?

When Orsted arrived and greeted Finn, Finn began the expedition oath, revealing they'd been waiting for him.

Orsted had joined Loki's expedition, alongside Hephaestus' smiths.

Adventurers were shocked. Orsted had only been an adventurer for a short time.

But they quickly realized his High Class strength made him more than qualified.

The group set off swiftly.

As expected, the square erupted in chatter after they left.

Orsted, Orario's rising star, joining Loki's expedition was huge news.

Within half a day, most adventurers and gods knew.

Reactions varied, but Orsted, unburdened by supplies thanks to the Hestia Ring, moved fast with Loki's team.

In one day, they reached the 28th floor's safe area to rest.

As predicted, Ais and other battle enthusiasts challenged Orsted during the break.

He trounced them as usual.

Loki's executives—Finn, Gareth, and Riveria—had heard Ais praise Orsted but hadn't seen his prowess firsthand.

Now, witnessing his strength, even Finn and Gareth marveled at his monstrous talent and potential.

Growing this strong in just over a month was unreal.

If not for their gods' assurances that divine powers were sealed in Orario—usable only with massive, city-wide effects—Finn might've suspected Hestia was boosting Orsted divinely.

Finn challenged Orsted to a spar.

Orsted didn't refuse.

Their duel stunned the expedition team, including Hephaestus' smiths.

Finn, a top Level 6 adventurer, lost to Orsted.

Even in a non-lethal spar, Finn's defeat was undeniable.

Only Ottar outranked Finn, yet Orsted had bested him.

No one would've believed it without seeing it.

But they did, forcing them to accept it.

Eyes turned to Orsted with admiration.

In Orario, the strong were revered. Only a few envious types harbored resentment.

Orsted's victory over Finn earned their respect.

Gareth, unable to resist, challenged him next.

The outcome mirrored Finn's.

Finn was agile, Gareth durable and strong.

But Orsted wasn't hindered.

After a fierce fight, he defeated Gareth.

Gareth's loss, following Finn's, was more palatable but still shocking.

Finally, Finn and Gareth teamed up against Orsted, ending in a tie.

This shattered expectations again.

Despite their years of synergy, they couldn't beat Orsted, whose strength surged further against multiple foes, thanks to Display of Might.

Gareth felt his age; Finn just smiled wryly.
