Chapter 185: Hey, Tsubaki, teach me how to flirt!
It took only five days for Orsted and his companions to reach the 50th floor.
Without the burden of supplies, thanks to the Hestia Ring, their pace from the 28th floor could've taken two or three days.
But Finn lingered two extra days to let Loki and Hephaestus Familia adventurers train, as floors beyond the 50th were too dangerous for those below High Class strength.
This ensured weaker members got meaningful deep-floor experience, preserving the expedition's purpose.
It was Orsted's first time on the 50th floor, and in the deep floors overall.
They passed the 49th floor without encountering the Balor, reaching the 50th smoothly.
On the 50th floor, they set up camp on a massive rock plate near the passage to the 51st.
After camp setup, they prepared a hearty meal around a campfire.
Then post-meal, Orsted and the executives gathered to plan while others cleaned up and listened.
"From the 51st floor, we'll select a strike team to proceed, with the rest guarding the camp," Finn said.
"Given last time's incident, we've prepared many magic swords. If it happens again, use them immediately, then let mages follow up."
He addressed Ais, the camp guards, and Hephaestus's familia members.
Thanks to Orsted and the Hestia Familia, the war game's profits eased Loki Familia's financial strain and funded extra magic swords from Hephaestus.
Finn allocated 70% to the camp guards, taking the rest.
The 51st floor marked a new challenge.
Floors before the 50th allowed Level 3 and 4 adventurers to manage with teamwork and supplies.
Beyond, only High Class(ref- level 5) strength sufficed.
The Dragon's Vase's dragons could unleash undetectable artillery fire, dodgeable only by High Class adventurers or rare veterans.
Monsters from the 51st floor were Level 4 or 5, numerous and tough, making it impossible to support weaker allies.
Only elite adventurers could fight there.
"The strike team is me, Riveria, Gareth, Ais, Orsted, Tsubaki, Tione, Tiona, Bete, and Lefiya," Finn listed.
No one objected.
Only Level 5 or higher could proceed safely.
In past expeditions, Finn might've included Level 4s for support, as supplies were critical.
But with Orsted's Hestia Ring, logistics were no issue.
Lefiya joined for her magic.
Finn then signaled Tsubaki, who distributed Durandal weapons from her Roland series, matching Ais's Desperate.
Even Orsted received one, surprising him.
He'd prepared magic items to protect weapons from damage, but hadn't expected Finn to include him.
His weapon was a gorgeous sword, less impressive than Excalibur but tough and razor-sharp.
"How's it? I crafted it with care. Treat me well," Tsubaki said, slinging an arm around Orsted's shoulders, whispering close.
"Tsubaki, that's the 138th time you've teased me this trip. Enough," Orsted said, unfazed. Tsubaki had been relentless since the expedition began.
"Haha, you're counting? Guess you're into me," Tsubaki laughed, patting his shoulder.
Others, inspecting their weapons, looked over.
Finn and Gareth grinned playfully, Riveria and Ais frowned, Tione raised an eyebrow, Bete snorted, Lefiya blushed wide-eyed, and Tiona bounded over.
"Hey, Tsubaki, teach me how to flirt! I want to tease him too," Tiona said.
Orsted: …
Tsubaki: …
"You, an Amazon, asking me how to flirt? Am I crazy or are you?" Tsubaki said, her expression complex after a pause.
