DBZ Goten : Become Stronger By Defeating Your Opponent

Chapter 181: Chapter 181: Gamma 2

Who hasn't dreamed of becoming a hero in their youth? Trunks was no exception. While some might call his aspirations immature, his enthusiasm was a hallmark of his age—a time for high spirits and boundless dreams. Someday, he might look back with a tinge of embarrassment, but for now, he was reveling in his youthful idealism.

After answering a flurry of questions from reporters, Trunks felt they'd lingered too long and quickly dragged Goten away from the scene.

Back at Capsule Corporation, Trunks lay on the grass, his expression beaming.

"Goten, we're famous now! How does it feel to be a hero?"

Goten remained indifferent. "It's fine, I guess."

Trunks sat up, frowning. "Just fine? Come on, this is a big deal!"

Unlike Trunks, Goten's mental age far surpassed his physical years. To him, playing the role of a hero was little more than a fleeting amusement.

"Still," Trunks continued, undeterred, "I think we need a battle plan!"

"A battle plan?" Goten echoed, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah! Look, you stole the spotlight today. If we're going to be a team, we need coordination—signals, hand gestures, strategies. You know, teamwork!"

As Trunks enthusiastically laid out his ideas, Goten yawned, his lack of interest evident.

"Are you done, Trunks?"

"For now," Trunks replied, deflated but determined to revisit the topic later.

One Week Later

Within a week, Goten and Trunks had become household names in West City. Their exploits were widely covered in the news, earning them recognition for solving several minor incidents.

One peaceful morning at Mount Paozu, Goten practiced on an open grassy field when a medium-sized spaceship descended nearby. From the spacecraft emerged Granola and Monaito.

"Granola!" Goten greeted, pausing his training.

Granola nodded. "Long time no see, Goten."

Monaito smiled warmly. "Good to see you again."

"Are you moving to Earth?" Goten asked.

Monaito chuckled. "Yes. Earth has a wonderful environment, and we've decided to settle here."

"Where will you live?"

"We haven't decided yet," Monaito admitted.

"How about I introduce you to someone? A Namekian who isn't a fighter, just like you," Goten suggested.

"Really? That would be great," Monaito replied.

Using Instant Transmission, Goten transported them to the Lookout.

"Dende!" Goten called out as they arrived.

Dende turned, smiling. "Goten! It's been a while."

"Let me introduce you. This is Granola and his grandfather Monaito," Goten said.

"Hello," Monaito greeted warmly.

Dende's eyes lit up. "Welcome to Earth!"

"They've just arrived and don't have a place to stay," Goten explained.

Dende offered, "If you need a home, you're welcome to stay here with me."

Monaito shook his head. "Thank you, but we've found another spot on Earth where we plan to settle."

The two Namekians struck up a conversation, discovering shared history. Monaito revealed that he had once been friends with the Grand Elder of Namek before being separated during a planetary disaster. It also turned out that Monaito was not a native of Universe 7 but had migrated from another dimension.

Seeing them engaged in conversation, Goten quietly left, satisfied that Granola and Monaito were in good hands.

Six Months Later

Life on Earth was peaceful during these months. One sunny afternoon, Piccolo rested at his home—a Namekian-style castle—enjoying the tranquility. Suddenly, he heard a disturbance outside.

Emerging from his home, Piccolo spotted a black robot descending from the sky. It wore a blue cape and bore the emblem of the Red Ribbon Army on its armband. On the robot's chest was a bold number "2."

The robot was Gamma 2, a justice-oriented android created by Dr. Hedo, the grandson of Dr. Gero.

Piccolo's expression hardened. "Who are you?"

Gamma 2 landed gracefully. "I am Gamma 2, a heroic android created by Dr. Hedo!"

"And who is Dr. Hedo?"

"You don't need to know that," Gamma 2 replied curtly. "You are Lord Piccolo, correct?"

Piccolo frowned. "I haven't been called that in twenty years."

Gamma 2 ignored the remark. "I have orders from Dr. Hedo to eliminate you."

"Eliminate me?" Piccolo's eyes narrowed. "Let's see if you're up to the task."

In a flash, Piccolo charged at Gamma 2, who responded by firing a laser from its weaponized arm. Piccolo evaded the blast, which struck the ground with explosive force, leaving a massive crater.

The sheer power of the laser startled Piccolo, prompting him to take Gamma 2 more seriously.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Gamma 2 unleashed a barrage of lasers, forcing Piccolo to dodge continuously. Seizing an opening, Piccolo rushed forward, landing a punch that disarmed Gamma 2.

Caught off guard, Gamma 2 retaliated with a swift punch to Piccolo's stomach, sending him reeling. It followed up with a double-footed kick, which Piccolo barely managed to block.

Recovering his stance, Piccolo watched as Gamma 2 flew into the air, charging a massive blue energy wave between its hands.

Boom!

The attack struck Piccolo directly, creating an enormous explosion that engulfed the area in smoke and dust.

Gamma 2 scanned the battlefield, searching for signs of life. Finding none, it muttered, "Dead?"

Confident that its mission was complete, Gamma 2 descended into the crater to confirm. Finding no trace of Piccolo, the android turned and left, its mechanical footsteps echoing ominously.
