DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 210: Chapter 210 A Sudden Attack!

Wayne Enterprises, Main Entrance.

Anton led John into the company building, where they met with the old man. He briefed him on the current situation.

The old man expression was stoic, showing no trace of fear.

Some people grow more afraid of danger as they age, while others become desensitized to it.

The old man was firmly in the latter category.

He had made plenty of enemies in his lifetime, yet he had lived comfortably into old age. By now, few things could genuinely unsettle him.

After hearing the details, he asked Anton, "So you think John and I should stay in Washington under military protection until this whole situation blows over?"

"Exactly," Anton said, his tone carrying a trace of cold resolve. "I'll deal with this as quickly as possible so it won't be an extended delay for you two."

"Alright," the old man nodded. "I'll speak with Secretary Keller to see if we can extend our stay."

"I'll send an email to Secretary Keller under Batman name," Anton added, scanning the room.

"That should ensure you can stay until the situation is resolved."

He glanced around. "By the way, where Phil?"

"He in the weapons display room," the old man replied.

Inside Wayne Enterprises: The Weapons Display Room

Phil was busy selecting the latest high-tech weapons developed by Wayne Enterprises.

As a full member of the Justice League, he had access to many secrets.

For instance, he knew that Wayne Enterprises' advanced technology was derived from another galaxy—Cybertron, the home of the Transformers.

The technology provided by these mechanical lifeforms was decades, if not centuries, ahead of Earth current capabilities.

Even the equipment Phil was examining now likely consisted of outdated Cybertronian tech.

After all, introducing technology hundreds of years ahead of Earth understanding would no longer be science it would be indistinguishable from magic.

Practicality and adaptability were the priority.

Phil clipped a laser sword to his suit and selected a customized energy rifle.

This specialized weapon could fire hundreds of energy rounds from a single energy cartridge, making reloading in combat almost unnecessary.

Combined with his existing demon Suit and the custom-built freeze gun from Donatello, Phil arsenal was on par with Harry Osborn equipment from Oscorp.

Of course, Harry edge lay in his symbiote-based bio-armor.

The bio-armor incredible elasticity and the ability to morph based on the user willpower made it far superior to the demon Suit, which was a modified Green Goblin armor.

Zzzzzzzt!

Just as Phil finished equipping himself, he heard a strange crackling sound.

He turned toward the noise and saw a bright burst of electricity erupting from a nearby power outlet.

"A short circuit?"

Phil frowned, staring at the sparking outlet. An uneasy feeling crept into his chest.

Boom!

The next moment, every powered connection in the room exploded with electrical arcs.

Streams of terrifying electricity flowed through the air like living rivers, coalescing into a humanoid shape.

"What the…?"

Phil froze, staring at the figure forming mid-air from concentrated currents of electricity. He recognized the figure immediately.

Electro!

As a Daily Bugle employee and Eddie Brock protégé, Phil was well-informed about the infamous supervillain.

"Electro… Max Dillon! It you!"

Phil expression hardened as he dashed to the side and opened his personal gear case.

Click-clack!

The case unfolded, revealing a hoverboard that floated in front of him.

Simultaneously, the case expanded and attached itself to Phil body, forming his demon Suit.

"So, it you…"

Electro, still hovering mid-air, sneered at Phil.

Although he had been incarcerated, he had evidently kept up with the news and recognized the hero standing before him.

"Superhero… demon!"

Electro cold, disdainful gaze locked onto Phil. Suspended by crackling electricity, his bluish skin gave him a hauntingly alien appearance.

"You superheroes are all the same—hypocrites!"

Electro deep-seated anger festered, fueling his growing cynicism and hatred for the world.

Zzzt—Boom!

He unleashed a lightning-fast electrical blast with a wave of his hand.

Crash!

Phil dodged just in time. Behind him, the wall took the brunt of the attack, shattering with a thunderous crash. Cracks spread like a spiderweb all the way to the corner.

If not for the specially hardened outer walls of the weapons display room, the blast would have blown a massive hole in the structure.

But Electro wasn't done.

He flung one electrical surge after another, each impacting with explosive force. The entire room shook violently, and the tremors extended through the entire building.

"Damn it."

Phil dodged the attacks, returning fire with his energy rifle.

Zzzt!

Electro vanished, merging with the building electrical system. Phil target disappeared in an instant.

"Not good!"

Phil face fell as he realized the implications.

Anton had brought his entire family to Wayne Enterprises. What if Electro intended to take them all out at once?

Phil expression hardened. He waited a few seconds, scanning for any sign of Electro. When the villain didn't reappear, his concern deepened.

Electro was no longer in the room.

"Damn it!"

Pulling out his communicator, Phil activated it and prepared to warn the others.

Buzz... Buzz...

The entire Wayne Enterprises building began to tremble slightly.

Employees still inside the building, finishing their shifts, felt the vibrations and looked around with panic-stricken expressions, as though an earthquake had struck.

Beep beep beep!

The old man phone suddenly rang.

"There a power surge in the weapons room..."

Frowning, he turned to Anton. "Phil is still in there."

Ring ring!

At that moment, Anton phone began to ring as well.

It was Phil.

"Boss, it Electro! He attacked me—he inside this building!"

Phil voice was hurried, his breathing uneven, as he reported the situation.

"Got it. Stay alert and come to us immediately," Anton said, ending the call.

Taking a quick glance around the office, Anton strode directly to the fire alarm and punched it with his fist.

Bang!

The glass casing shattered instantly.

Beep beep beep!

A piercing alarm echoed throughout the entire building, throwing the employees still inside into a full-blown panic.

Zzzzt!

Sprinklers embedded in the ceiling activated, spraying water throughout the facility.

Though the water wouldn't be enough to neutralize Electro, it could at least limit his movements to some extent.

Bang!

The office door burst open as the old man bodyguard—John Wick, the king of assassins himself—rushed in.

"What going on?"

His sharp instincts had already picked up that something was amiss. With his brows furrowed, he clutched one of Wayne Enterprises' latest energy weapons, his expression taut with vigilance.

"You stay here and protect these two," Anton ordered, pointing to the old man and John Jr. "Phil will be here soon. Leave the rest to me."

With that, Anton strode out of the office.

"Anton!" the old man called after him, but Anton didn't stop.

His mission was clear: neutralize the threat and ensure the safety of everyone in the building.

The old man hadn't spoken yet when John, Anton younger father, couldn't hold back.

Watching Anton retreating figure with worry, John struggled to put his emotions into words. Finally, he managed a single sentence:

"Be careful!"

"I know," Anton replied with a light chuckle. Then, turning his head slightly, he added, "Remember, John—those who should be afraid have never been us."

With that, Anton left the office, walking purposefully through the building.

He took the elevator down to the main entrance of Wayne Enterprises and crossed the street.

Turning back, he looked at the brightly lit building now in a state of chaos, his expression calm and composed.

Around him, panicked employees poured out of the building, brushing past him as they fled.

"Max Dillon," Anton said, his voice steady but carrying a weight that cut through the commotion.

"I'm guessing you can hear me. If you're watching me right now, come on out. I'm waiting for you at the front door."

He stood still, unmoving, his gaze fixed on the building.

Passersby could feel the oppressive aura radiating from him, an invisible but palpable presence that seemed to chill the air around him.

Many instinctively shivered, even without knowing why.
