DC HERO AT MARVEL

Chapter 211: Chapter 211 Citizens Shocked! A Familiar Outfit!

"Hahahahaha!"

A deep, maniacal laugh suddenly echoed through the street. The countless people fleeing in panic froze in their tracks.

The laughter seemed to come from everywhere and nowhere all at once, as though it carried a sinister magic. It was unhinged, brimming with madness.

There was no mistaking it—this wasn't the laugh of a good person.

"Anton, do you think you can defeat me with the same tricks as last time?"

The voice continued, still tinged with its maniacal edge.

Hearing the name, many of the onlookers quickly connected the dots.

They recognized the man standing across the street from Wayne Enterprises' front entrance: Anton Jameson.

A wealthy scion, a renowned Hollywood director, a prominent New York businessman, and the owner of Wayne Enterprises—Anton was one of the most recognizable figures in the city.

But what truly stood out to people wasn't his wealth or fame. It was his most unique and dangerous identity: a member of the Justice League and a close ally of Batman.

This revelation quickly spread among the crowd.

"Is this a revenge plot?"

"Oh my God, where Batman?"

"Is one of Batman enemies targeting Anton because they couldn't find him?"

Such thoughts swirled through the minds of those present.

The crowd, now aware that a supervillain had come for Anton, didn't hesitate to retreat further from the scene.

They knew that as Wayne Enterprises' CEO and a member of the Justice League, Anton would undoubtedly have his own countermeasures.

But they were just ordinary citizens—getting involved in a clash between a hero and a villain was far beyond their capabilities.

Inside Wayne Enterprises, in the Chairman Office.

A group of people stood by the floor-to-ceiling windows, watching the events unfold below.

Among them was Phil, who had just arrived at the office after his encounter with Electro.

Anton father, John, looked on with worry. He was the least familiar with Anton current life and capabilities, which made him all the more anxious about the unfolding situation.

"Should we be doing something?" John asked, his voice tinged with unease.

Phil, however, remained calm. "If Anton standing out there, it because he has a plan."

"But he alone—"

"Trust me," Phil cut in. "When it comes to dealing with people like Electro, Anton is more prepared than any of us."

John clenched his fists, his gaze never leaving the figure of his son standing alone on the street. The distant, sinister laughter echoed again, chilling him to the bone.

"Is he really going to be okay?"

John couldn't help but voice his concerns to the others in the room.

"If he not okay, then New York done for!"

"Relax, John."

"He'd let you get hurt before anything happens to him!"

The others smirked, clearly more amused than worried. The old man even allowed himself a small smile, rolling his eyes at John concern.

John unease didn't subside. If anything, his curiosity clawed at him even harder.

It was obvious Anton had some kind of trump card to deal with this so-called Electro. Maybe that was Anton secret.

Then again, calling it a "secret" didn't feel entirely accurate—after all, everyone else in the room seemed to know what it was. Everyone except him.

Outside the Wayne Enterprises Building.

The streets, once bustling with fleeing crowds, had emptied. Anton stood alone in the middle of the wide avenue, the focus of every gaze.

Even the nearest onlookers had retreated to a safe distance, more than a hundred meters away.

The mysterious figure, still unseen but taunting with maniacal laughter, finally began to reveal his extraordinary power.

Boom!

Several streetlights along the road exploded at their bases and were sent flying.

One of the streetlights, propelled by the force of the explosion, soared toward the distant crowd, narrowly missing the spectators and triggering a wave of panicked screams.

Screech!

As the streetlights smashed into the ground, sparks flew and chunks of asphalt shattered, adding to the mounting tension.

Bzzzzt!

The air filled with the unmistakable hum of electricity.

Nearby billboards began flickering erratically, and poorly maintained ones short-circuited altogether, their lights extinguished.

Then, under the watchful eyes of the gathered crowd, currents of electricity surged forth from the broken bases of the streetlights.

The electric streams coalesced midair, forming a humanoid figure.

Gasps rippled through the crowd as the surreal sight unfolded.

Even seasoned New Yorkers—people who'd seen all manner of strange events—were left in stunned silence.

Was this…a human?

For many, this was their first time witnessing something like this.

While Electro had made his debut at the earlier expo, his appearance came late, and the public didn't truly see him in action.

News coverage of the incident, influenced by the NYPD, had downplayed his presence, leaving the public with only a vague idea of who—or what—Electro was.

Now, seeing him materialize in such a dramatic and electrifying manner, the gathered spectators knew one thing for certain: this was a moment they would never forget.

"Gulp!"

"That Electro! I just remembered hearing Anton call his name earlier—Max Dillon! He the guy from the Stark Expo who got arrested!"

"He was arrested? Someone actually managed to capture a guy like that?!"

"Yeah, and it was Anton Jameson!"

"What? Isn't Anton Jameson just a regular guy? Sure, he a member of the Justice League, but I thought he was just a logistics guy! Even someone in logistics can handle someone like that?"

The murmurs and whispers among the distant crowd grew louder, buzzing with disbelief and speculation.

Bzzzzt!

In the meantime, the currents in midair fully coalesced into the tangible form of a man.

Electro, Max Dillon, finally stood in full view of everyone.

Suspended in midair, his body crackled with energy as if he were some electric god.

His glowing blue skin shimmered, arcs of electricity dancing across it.

He looked down on Anton from his hovering position three meters above the ground, his expression filled with malice.

"This time, you've got no chance!"

Electro sneered, his hand slowly lifting as a glowing ball of electricity began to form in his palm.

"I'm not even curious why you're here for revenge."

Anton stood calmly in place, staring up at Electro without a trace of fear. His tone was as casual as if they were discussing the weather.

"What I am curious about…is who sent you."

"Huh?"

Electro face twitched, a fleeting hint of surprise crossing his features.

His hand didn't falter, though, and he hurled the ball of electricity toward Anton, his voice rising into a shout:

"Whoever it was, you won't live to find out!"

Boom!

The crackling bolt of electrical energy surged forward like a lightning strike, bearing down on Anton with terrifying force.

"So someone really is pulling your strings," Anton mused, his voice steady and calm even as the crackling wave of energy bore down on him.

He didn't flinch. He didn't step aside. He didn't even blink.

To the crowd watching in horror, it seemed as though Anton had frozen in fear, paralyzed by the sheer intensity of Electro attack.

"Could it be?"

"Anton Jameson… he not going to die just like that, is he?"

"Why isn't he moving?!"

Fear, disbelief, worry, and morbid curiosity filled the crowd.

Some couldn't bear to watch, while others seemed to take grim satisfaction in what they thought was Anton impending demise.

Wayne Enterprises Boardroom

"Damn it!"

John eyes widened in terror. He turned to the others, his voice trembling with both panic and anger.

"Why isn't he dodging?! You all said Anton would be fine! Why isn't he moving?!"

"Calm down!"

The elder Jameson barked sharply, though his own concern was barely concealed.

"Watch carefully! My grandson isn't someone who'd die so easily. If he caught Electro once, he can catch him again. Have a little more faith in your son, will you?"

Neither Phil nor Wick spoke.

They shared the deepest faith in Anton among everyone in the room.

Phil had witnessed Anton transformation into Batman firsthand, building his reputation as an unmatched hero.

Wick, on the other hand, carried personal scars—both physical and emotional—from the day Anton beat him to a pulp.

His dog had almost been collateral damage. If anyone knew how unstoppable Anton was, it was him.

"Look!"

Phil suddenly gasped. "Someone there!"

At his exclamation, John panic-stricken gaze snapped back to the scene below.

On the Street Below

Boom!

Just as Electro electric blast was about to hit Anton, a tall, slender figure with flowing hair descended from the sky.

Her revealing armor shimmered as if radiating golden divine light.

Clang!

The figure landed gracefully in front of Anton, crossing her arms. An invisible barrier of pure energy materialized, effortlessly neutralizing the oncoming electric attack.

"Who… who is she?"

"Wait a second," someone from the boardroom murmured, leaning closer to the window. "That outfit… why does it look so familiar?"
