Chapter 1: let there be light.
{This is my new project. Enjoy it! I will try to upload a chapter every day unless something unexpected happens.}
Right now, a soul was on the verge of madness in the void. Why? Because it had been here for a long time… or at least that's how it felt.
But the soul was keeping itself busy, reviewing its memories over and over again until it memorized them all.
As always, the soul tried to distract itself, but it was tired of it. So, it started to pray:
"Allah
God
Shiva
Indra
Azathoth
ROB
Whoever you are, just get me out of here."
And suddenly, there was light.
Something had appeared, and just looking at it filled the soul with both fear and peace.
It was ironic to feel such opposite emotions at the same time. Whatever this being was, it was certainly important.
A voice came from the entity: "My child, I have come to ease your suffering."
Hearing those words, the despair in the soul faded. There was hope now.
"No matter what."
The entity smiled. "Do you remember how it happened?"
The soul simply looked at the entity, confused. "I remember everything… except my death."
Suddenly, light burst from the entity and struck the soul. And then, it remembered.
Flashback no Jutsu.
My name is Michael, and I lived a very humble life.
If I had to describe myself, I would call myself an NPC.
I graduated from a very ordinary university and worked at a very ordinary job.
Just another slave to the capitalist system.
The only things that kept me going were video games, anime, fanfics, and comic books.
They brought color to my otherwise dull life.
I always stayed away from women because, in my eyes, they were nothing but trouble magnets.
As always, I was at home playing League of Legends.
Michael slammed his fist on the table in frustration. "Fucking idiot, stop feeding! I swear I'll find your house…!"
Michael was angry at a teammate who was feeding the enemy.
But then, he heard a loud noise. He looked outside his window… and what he saw left him in shock.
A cargo plane was about to crash directly onto his house.
Plane-kun: "Isekai time, bitch."
Michael: "Fuck."
And just like that, Michael died… at the age of 24.
Flashback ends.
Michael glared at the entity and shouted in anger.
"Damn it! I didn't deserve to die like this!"
The entity responded calmly. "It doesn't matter. A deviation occurred in fate. You were supposed to die of a heart attack at 73. That's why I'm here—to compensate for that."
Michael's eyes widened in excitement. He was about to get an epic isekai!
"Can I at least choose where I go?"
The entity answered without hesitation. "No. But you will spin a wheel. One will decide your system, and the other will determine your world."
Michael didn't know what to feel. "Damn it… Fine. At least I'll have a system."
A wheel appeared out of nowhere.
Entity: "Just think about spinning it."
Michael did as he was told.
The wheel started spinning. It felt endless, but Michael saw everything—Gamer System, Lazy System… and then, the wheel slowed down.
For a moment, it looked like it would land on Eroge System.
Michael's heart sank. Please, not that…
Then, the wheel stopped.
[Gacha System]
Michael sighed in relief. At least it's not the Eroge System…
Entity: "The lucky one. Now, let's spin for your world."
Michael nodded and did as instructed.
This time, different worlds appeared. Among them was Boku no Pi– Oh, hell no.
The wheel spun… and landed on DC Comics.
Michael: "Fuck."
The entity let out a sigh. "Well, time to go."
Michael panicked. "Wait! Who are you? Which god are you?"
The entity smiled. "I am all of them."
Michael was stunned. This was unexpected.
Then, he felt himself being pulled away.
In the DC Universe…
In a hospital room, a young man suddenly woke up as if escaping a nightmare.
Man: "Damn… I wish we had talked a little longer, God."
He looked around. It was clearly a hospital room. He was connected to IV drips.
Then, someone entered the room—a nurse.
She stood in front of him professionally. "Mr. Felix, how are you feeling?"
Felix looked at her. "I feel… okay. What happened?"
Nurse: "You were in a car accident with your family."
Felix was about to ask more, but suddenly, a sharp pain struck his head.
Flashback.
I am Felix Cainhurst, just a 16-year-old kid.
My life revolved around school. I rarely went outside. Books were my only escape.
After all, where I lived wasn't exactly safe to wander around.
My family didn't love me. They abused me.
I was beaten almost every day.
They weren't poor. They had a house, a car, and could afford everything they needed. They weren't rich either, but they were stable.
One day, I got into a fight at school.
Why? Because I was being bullied.
My parents were called. They talked to the principal and promised to "discipline me properly."
On the way home, there was silence in the car. My father was furious.
Father: "What's wrong with you, Felix? Do I need to beat you again?"
Felix: "What was I supposed to do? Just sit there and get beaten? Can you support me for once in your life?"
His father snapped. He turned around, raising his hand to slap Felix.
His mother tried to stop him.
But no one noticed the truck speeding toward them.
A loud crash.
Then, darkness.
Flashback ends.
Felix held his head in pain.
The nurse panicked and called for the doctor, who rushed in.
Felix's headache subsided.
The doctor sighed in relief. "Mr. Felix, are you alright?"
Felix asked just one question. "Where is my family?"
The doctor flinched. Felix's voice was cold.
The doctor lowered his head. "I'm sorry for your loss."
Felix sighed. "They got what they deserved," he muttered.
The doctor didn't hear that.
After a short talk, they left to complete Felix's discharge papers.
Felix thought to himself, "System?"
[Ding! Gacha system activated.]
[10 free spins granted.]
[May luck be with you.]
Felix relaxed. The system was working. Now, he had to test the next thing.
Felix: "Status."
[Name: Felix Cainhurst]
[Race: Human]
[Tier: 10-B]
[Fully Assimilated Characters: Empty]
[Assimilation Slot: Empty]
[Assimilation Slot: Empty]
[Assimilation Slot: Empty]
[Inventory: Empty]
[Gacha Points: 0]
[Gacha: 10]
Felix sighed. Instead of showing his power level directly, the system displayed his tier. Well, that was enough.
He continued examining the system and learned that living beings could not be stored in the inventory. He also discovered that he received 100 gacha points every month and could only spend an additional $100 to get another 100 points, making a total of 20 gacha pulls per month.
So, Felix simply waited to be discharged. However, before that could happen, the police arrived and took his statement.
One day later…
Felix was discharged.
Before leaving, he had to speak with a psychologist, who deemed him stable enough to live alone—at least temporarily.
Now, in his room, Felix was about to spin the Gacha.
But first, he kneeled down and clasped his hands together.
"RNG God, please bless me with good luck."
And then, he spun the Gacha.

"Deathstroke? The best mercenary in DC? Hell yes."
He immediately integrated the Deathstroke Template. His body felt stronger.
His system displayed:

Felix grinned. "Definitely a great start."
