Chapter 6: here we go

Felix felt a little tense facing Supergirl. This girl was unnecessarily strong, but Felix wasn't weak. Right now, Felix was stretching a bit while Supergirl wore a wild grin on her face. Felix took a stance, signaling with his hands for Supergirl to come at him. In a flash, Supergirl appeared in front of Felix, moving so fast it was almost invisible. It felt like time had stopped.

Just as she was about to hit Felix, he moved quickly. A burst of blue light shot from his hand, guiding Supergirl's motion, and he landed a punch square in her face. Supergirl was enraged. She put all her strength into her foot and kicked at Felix's thigh, but instead felix hit her head.

Supergirl grabbed Felix's leg and tried to slam him to the ground, but he fought back. Felix quickly grabbed her head and used her momentum against her. He stood up, his clothes tattered but still intact. The more he used Bang's style, the more familiar Felix became with these kinds of fights. Supergirl quickly got up, and Felix realized he had underestimated her. This mistake would be the last one. Her face was bruised, and her nose was bleeding. "So, you want to play the wild dog? I know how to tame it," she said, her voice filled with anger.

Suddenly, time seemed to freeze. Supergirl was about to hit Felix in the stomach with full force. Felix's eyes flashed. "Divine Reflection!" he shouted. Then, the punch came back at Supergirl with the same speed. Supergirl hit the ground, shocked. "What was that? What did Felix just do? How could a human be this strong?"

Felix moved faster than expected. Supergirl braced herself, but Felix quickly executed "Water Scream, Rock Smashing." Supergirl felt a sharp pain and exhaled all her breath. Felix froze. Supergirl relaxed, thinking she had won, but then the ice shattered. Felix's clothes were severely torn, leaving him shirtless.

Supergirl sighed in relief, but suddenly, Felix used his freezing breath against her again. Supergirl literally froze. Felix smiled. "Nice move, but now you're mine."

As Supergirl tried to break free from the ice, she received a punch to the head, knocking her out. "Black Flash," Felix muttered.

Seeing Supergirl fall, Felix relaxed. He chuckled and raised his fist. "No one can withstand my gender equality punch."

As Felix was about to head home, he remembered that Supergirl was keeping watch over him. Twenty minutes later, Supergirl opened her eyes. She saw Felix practicing some fighting moves on the side. His movements were fluid. Felix turned to face her, smiling. "Good morning, sleeping princess. Now keep your promise, take me home."

Supergirl, still stunned, realized she had lost to a human. "What are you?" she asked.

Felix smiled. Supergirl grabbed him by the waist and took him home, after that she flew to Metropolis. Then, she received a message on her phone.

Felix: "Not seeing you again."

Supergirl blinked. Was this real? Was Felix really such an unashamed guy? She looked at her phone and closed it.

Meanwhile, in Gotham, Felix was relaxing at home, happy that Supergirl had made it out. Almost all women in his eyes were like problem magnets, so he didn't care. He focused on his own business, and if he wanted to get married, he'd try it with someone normal.

Felix tried to relax at home, but suddenly he heard a thudding sound from the window. He had placed bananas in front of his windows, and if there was an unauthorized entry, a familiar silhouette would likely fall into the trap. He glanced and saw Batman step on a banana peel and fall. Felix just chuckled. "Agent 47 template working. The slip rate of banana peels is 100%."

Batman got up, brushing himself off. "You didn't see this, but anyway, I need your help. Joker is after something."

Felix got serious. He knew Joker was planning something big. "How can I help, and what's my payment?"

Batman pulled out a bag and handed Felix 109 gold coins. Felix nodded. "I'll take it, but I don't know if Joker will be alive or dead."

Batman kept his serious tone. "Listen, you've received my payment. I'm the client, you follow my lead."

Felix nodded. "Fine."

Felix geared up and walked into the dark streets of Gotham with Batman. They were tracking Joker.

Felix was always careful and calm in his bloody work, but this time, he felt an unusual tension. Joker was always an unpredictable and chaotic threat, so he wanted everything to go smoothly tonight. When Batman locked eyes with Felix, who was moving like a shadow beside him, he knew they had to approach without compromising their secrecy.

"We need to find Joker," Batman said, listening closely to the surroundings.

Felix nodded and took another step. He was a tracker, sensitive to even the smallest movement or the faintest sound. Joker's men should be here. As they walked down the street, Felix kept checking his steps, making sure everything was calculated. Joker always set traps and made unexpected plans. Felix wasn't just a professional mercenary; his strategy and instincts made him very capable.

Batman kept moving forward without saying anything. About ten minutes later, they approached a clock tower. The sky had darkened, and the stars made the night feel even heavier. The clock tower was one of Gotham's oldest structures, and it was always full of strange happenings. The door was almost completely rusted and locked, but Felix quickly found a way in. In a matter of seconds, the door opened.

Batman and Felix stepped inside. Their eyes quickly adjusted to the darkness. Felix moved a few steps ahead, inspecting the tower. "Joker's here, I'm sure of it. But this could be a classic Joker trap," he said, his voice calm, without any hint of worry—just careful preparation.

Batman looked at Felix. "Be more careful. Joker's traps... everything could turn into a game."

Felix smiled. "But the best part of the game is changing the rules in the middle."

They climbed the clock tower's big staircase. As they neared the top, something felt off. Batman paused for a second, but Felix quickly moved forward. When they reached the top, the door was ajar, and a faint light was shining through. They pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Inside, Joker's men were gathered around a table in the center of the room. They had weapons in their hands, their faces tense, but they didn't know what was coming. Felix moved a few steps ahead of Batman. He quickly lunged at one of the men, striking his neck and taking him down. The other men couldn't react, and Felix handled them one by one.

Felix paused for a moment, lifting the man he was holding by the throat. "Where's Joker?" he asked.

The man trembled, his eyes wide with fear. "Upstairs... In the room with the clock's gears..." The man struggled and fell to the ground.

Felix nodded. "Let's go."

Batman followed Felix's swift decision without a word. They quickly moved up to the next level. As they got closer, the sounds of Joker's laughter echoed, getting louder. Felix's heart raced, but he remained calm as always. This was his job.

When they arrived at the room with the clock's gears, Joker was there, surrounded by his men, preparing some kind of device. Joker turned, grinning.

"Ah, here we go again."
