Chapter 346: A Type Of Immortality.
"If we can destroy the Blood Ancestor, then at the very least, more primordial vampires won't be created and the vampire race will die out little by little."
"The goal is clear and how to achieve it is clearer. If the blood ancestor is destroyed, vampires won't be able to create more primordial vampires."
"Unfortunately, no one knows where the blood ancestor is. It is hidden very well. If we can't find it, we can't destroy it."
"As for the object that possesses the power of a true god. That's the body of a future true god and how vampires become true gods. A vampire will build its future body. This body will have the power of a false god. Then it will fuse with it and start the process of becoming a true god."
"But building this body requires a lot of blood and life force. If we are to win this war, we must find the body and destroy it. Then we must kill every primordial vampire on this world."
He asked, "How are we going to do that?"
She shook her head. "Don't worry about that. That's for Command to worry about. But you can be confident in us because this is not the first time we will be fighting the vampires."
"If there is anything to worry about, it is this world. The darkness is too convenient for the vampires, and the magnetic field is too active for us. Powerful electronics are malfunctioning because of the magnetic field."
"So we have a lot of difficulties, but things are under control."
When he heard what she said about vampires being difficult to kill, his eyes began to light up. He can still remember the blood bat ability he got from the lesser vampires and how it saved his life many times.
He thought to himself, "If the primordial vampires are stronger than lesser vampires, it makes sense that they will have stronger survivability."
He didn't show his eagerness for the abilities of vampires on his face. Instead, he asked her calmly, "Do you know why only the primordial vampires can be saved by the blood ancestor?"
She replied quickly, "The reason is simple. It is because primordial vampires are the true vampires. They are the original vampires. The rest are just pale imitations of the true vampires."
"Lesser and higher vampires can be created by primordial vampires. And while lesser vampires can become higher vampires by killing and feeding on powerful creatures, the only way for a higher vampire to become a primordial vampire is to kill and replace one."
"So the number of primordial vampires is constant barring certain situations. They can't be created artificially. That's probably why they are protected so much by the blood ancestor."
He thought about what she said and said, "I find it ironic that apart from true gods and special demigods, only vampires can kill primordial vampires."
That made Dancing Flowers laugh. She said, "You have a point. Which is why I don't think the demigod Kunut, who invited the primordial vampire to this world on the promise of becoming a true god, will be cheated."
Kelvin exclaimed, "Oh. So that's why the Kunut invited the vampire. I thought it was a mistake. I thought the demigod was fooled and didn't know the full ramifications of what it was doing."
Dancing Flowers laughed again. "Who says that the demigod knows what it was doing? The demigod sought out the vampires intentionally and invited the primordial vampire to the Umbra world, but that does not mean it wasn't fooled into doing so or that it knew the full ramifications of its actions."
She laughed harder and said, "What's worse is that it wasn't only one demigod that was fooled. A lot of them were fooled and worked together to create the portal that brought the vampire to this world."
"See, according to what we know currently, only one primordial vampire came to this world. Their space-faring technology is not still lacking by orders of magnitude. It is so bad that the primordial vampire was not complete when it came to this world. They had to feed it blood to help it recover."
She shook her head. "They should have killed it then and there. But the vampire had promised them a way to become true gods without dying. That way is to turn them into vampires."
"Unfortunately, they will only be higher vampires at best. If they want to become a true god, they will have to kill the primordial vampire and replace it. They didn't know that when the vampire made the promise. They only found out after they became vampires."
Kelvin said, "Wow."
She chuckled and said, "Yes, wow."
"If they hadn't become vampires, at least they had a slim chance of becoming true gods. It is risky and can lead to their deaths, but at least they had a chance. But once they became vampires, their potential to become true gods was cut off. Only true vampires can become true gods, so they have to kill the primordial vampire and replace it."
"By the time they found out, the primordial vampire had escaped. They couldn't kill it since it was a powerful demigod too. What's more, the primordial vampire is trying to become a true god with the blood of the Kunuts."
"They had to kill the primordial vampire or, at the very least, stop it, so they sought out powerful helpers in the far reaches of the galaxy. That's how we were involved."
Kelvin was enlightened. He shook his head in wonder and folded his arm against his chest as he asked, "So our mission is to help the Kunuts kill the primordial vampire and drive out every vampire?"
She grinned and said, "At least on the surface, that's our mission."
Kelvin could imagine what the secret mission of the Yggdrasil civilization was. It was easy to do because he knew that the Yggdrasil civilization was not a civilization of saviors and heroes. They were a civilization built on conquest, just like the vampire civilization.
