Chapter 197: Two birds one stone.
Mykel brought Sasha back to the Empyrean World because he wanted to do something. Sasha immediately played with little Sasha and Hera with a bright face and no weight on her shoulders. It was the first time she could genuinely smile and felt happy knowing that Mykel was by her side.
"Did you hear everything?" Mykel asked as he sat on the table under the big tree and looked at Amaryllis. "I know you heard my conversation with her," Mykel added.
"I'm sorry, I'm just curious about the conversation between you two. You didn't say anything about not eavesdropping or wanting to have a private conversation," Amaryllis answered as she leaned her back on the tree trunk.
"You're not wrong, and I want to discuss it with you," Mykel answered and looked at Sasha showing off her wings to little Sasha and Hera. "What do you think? Why suddenly Lucifer made contact with her?" Mykel asked.
Amaryllis walked to the table and then put wine, different types of bread, and various fruits on the table.
"Since I'm now a Demonologist, and did my research about demons, I believe it wasn't a coincidence. Demons tend to approach those who are desperate and vulnerable before angels or The Lord embraces them so they could deceive them first," Amaryllis answered as she poured a cup of wine and put it in front of Mykel.
"And what's the reason?" Mykel asked and grabbed the cup.
"There are two possibilities, the first one would be because of what she has, or the second one would be because he used her so he could get you," Amaryllis answered as she looked at Sasha flying around with Hera and little Sasha to check the whole world. "But the fact Lucifer could possess her, that means the moment she accepted his offer, she already sold her soul to him," Amaryllis added.
"Yes, and at that moment he realized that he was about to hit two birds with one stone. He made Sasha kill herself and then he sent me into the novel world knowing that I'm the more befitting person to help him later on," Mykel nodded his head in agreement.
Amaryllis looked at Mykel and enjoyed his apple as he stared blankly into the distance. She wondered what was on his mind and wanted to know whatever it was since the way Mykel thought was something worth knowing.
"Have you found a solution to the problem?" Mykel looked at Amaryllis with a serious expression.
"I could try it again, but I'm not sure if it would work this time. Sasha's body is protected by the new system because a part of Lucifer lives inside her," Amaryllis answered. "Breaking her would only trigger the Caveat Scroll inside her, and the power within the scroll is beyond Gods, and perhaps on the same level as Lucifer and the Archangels. So I don't really want to risk it. I'm sorry if I'm not being useful," Amaryllis said and she looked disappointed in herself.
"Don't be sorry. You're the master in this matter, so if you can't do anything about it and can't find another way around, then there's nothing we can do about it," Mykel shook his head and stared blankly into the distance again.
Sasha had fun and landed near the table under the tree, and she looked at the food that Amaryllis had prepared for everyone. Hera and little Sasha immediately grabbed the food they wanted to eat, and so Sasha joined in and ate with them.
"Mykel, can I ask you something?" Sasha asked as she had bread in her right hand. "You said that you despise the novel, is it because of me and how I created the ending?" Sasha asked.
"No, it's not because of you. I made a huge change in the last few chapters. I didn't use your script and wrote my own style and ending. If I used the script that you left me, people would love it and not despise it," Mykel answered and drank his wine.
"What happened to the story?" Sasha asked with her eyebrows furrowed.
"I don't want to talk about it, and it's better left unsaid. I deleted the story, and I had the draft in my old phone, but the phone is gone now," Mykel answered.
"I can tell you everything about it if you want to. We can discuss about it after this," Amaryllis suggested and tried to get another chance to take Sasha into the system so she could read everything about Sasha inside out.
"I would love to," Sasha nodded her head with a smile on her face.
Stay connected through empire
After Sasha was done eating, Amaryllis started to tell her about the story from the beginning. Mykel was sick with the story and the novel so he decided to walk away and let them talk about it without him.
Mykel decided to go back to Earth to see the progress everyone made around the world. He checked South America first where Luciel and her sisters were, and he could see each one of them massacred all living beings there.
"Your sisters are busy hunting, and you're still here at the airport," Mykel asked and looked at Beldathiel sleeping on the comfy couch.
"Well, they tried to drag me, but they couldn't," Beldathiel chuckled with her eyes still closed. "Is it over? Can I go back now?" Beldathiel asked and looked at Mykel.
"Not yet. Your sisters are having fun out there and it might take a few days until they totally annihilated all humans in this continent," Mykel answered as he sat down and gently put Beldathiel's head on his lap. "Also, Lucifer came and destroyed everything. So, your room is gone now," Mykel looked down at Beldathiel.
Beldathiel slowly turned around to look at Mykel, and then she frowned as she sulked. She then hid her face on Mykel's stomach as she wrapped her arms around his waist.
"Don't be mad. Amaryllis has created a new place, it's better than the one in New York, you're going to love it," Mykel said as he gently stroked Beldathiel's hair.
Beldathiel didn't say anything, and then Mykel realized she fell asleep again the moment he stroked her hair. He couldn't help but chuckle at her and let her sleep on his lap because she was one of the three people that could make him feel comfortable.
(In China)
Aurea and Lillith met each other again after they had done cleaning all the cities. It only took them half a day to reduce eighty percent of the population in China. They had their fun and were about to leave, but there was still one building that they wanted to check out first.
"Is this it? One of Eurasia Guild's headquarters?" Lillith asked as she looked at the wide building like a stadium. "Jeanne encountered one in Germany, and one is here," Lillith added.
"I managed to get some information, the woman's name is Yu Xi. Nobody knew what kind of power she possesses, but we are here to find it out, so let's head in," Aurea answered and then walked into the building.
They both wandered around the building and it was massive like a stadium, and yet they didn't find anyone inside. They saw the giant arena in the middle, and it looked like a training ground, but nobody was there either. They had no idea that they had killed all the members of the Eurasia Guild in China except one.
"You only see what you want to see," A woman's voice could be heard in Aurea and Lillith's ears. They both turned around, but they didn't see anyone or could sense anything. "You came here and think you can get away for what you have done?" The woman asked and the voice was inside their heads.
"I have heard a similar line, but in the end, it's just nothing but empty words. If you think you can do anything to us, show yourself, and don't hide like a pussy," Aurea said and she was unfazed by the trick.
"Who's hiding? I'm right here in front of you the whole time," A woman said.
Aurea and Lillith moved their eyes and couldn't see or sense anything no matter how hard they tried. Suddenly a woman with long black eyes down to her calves with a black veil to cover her eyes appeared in front of them when they blinked their eyes.
"I have watched you two, and I know how to deal with you two," Yu Xi said as she flipped the hand fan open and hid her mouth with it. "You both are strong, but not in my world," Yu Xi added and covered the whole building with dark purple mist.
"Jeanne wasn't lying. These women have similar power to what Mara had back then," Aurea said as she unsheathed her sword. "This is going to be exciting," Aurea smirked and readied her stance.
