Destroying My Own World

Chapter 199: Sasha's version.

Aurea looked at the sun disappearing and realized she had been playing with Yu Xi for hours. She then looked at Yu Xi who surprisingly endured the torment, but that was because Aurea didn't want to break her yet. She wanted to fight Yu Xi again because she found Yu Xi an interesting opponent.

"Look me in the eye," Aurea said as she choked Yu Xi and pushed her to the wall. "Remember my face, and let's meet again soon," Aurea smirked as she deactivated her [Lunacy] skill and then dropped Yu Xi to the ground.

The moment Yu Xi was freed from Aurea's grasp, she created a portal with her purple mist and got sucked into it. She ran away in fear and Aurea could only chuckle as she watched the portal close in front of her and disappear.

Aurea was on her way to Moscow where the Pantheon Guild by flying above the clouds, and she furrowed her eyebrows when she saw a weird blizzard that only happened below her. She approached it and when she reached out her hand at the blizzard, she could feel the cold that a normal human being would be frozen to death in an instant.

She entered and checked what had happened, but then she was welcomed by icicles. She dodged them all, but more icicles flew toward her until she was so annoyed by them that she spread her wings and flew up high into the sky. She ignored the icicles because they couldn't even scratch her skin. She then made her wings wider and wider and flapped them enough to make the blizzard disappear. Unfortunately, the blizzard came back and so Aurea decided to keep her wings and used them like a shield to cover her whole body.

She walked in the rough blizzard and then she faintly heard something in the distance. She approached the sound of clashing, and then she saw Lillith fighting with a woman in a long sky-blue dress with long white hair.

"I found another one," Lillith said as she looked at Aurea who was hiding her presence.

The woman turned around to look at where Lillith was staring, and she was startled when she saw Aurea standing right behind her. The woman immediately imprisoned Aurea with an ice cage and created ice spikes around Aurea's body to prevent her from moving. The woman made a distance between herself and those two and created a fortress made of ice.

"You must be Ella Ceres, right?" Aurea asked and was unbothered by the cage and ice spikes around her. "Aren't you supposed to be in Czechia? What are you doing in here?" Aurea asked and broke free from the cage and the spikes.

Ella didn't say a word and just stared at those two as she was thinking about what happened to Yu Xi. She then raised her right hand and suddenly a giant wyvern made of ice appeared from the sky.

"Do you think that would be enough to-" Before Aurea could finish her sentence, she saw Ella had ice wings on her back. "Planning on running away?" Aurea asked with a smirk.

Ella clapped her hands and the blizzard became fiercer so that it was impossible to see more than a meter away. Aurea immediately pulled out her wings and blew the blizzard away, but it was already too late because Ella had disappeared.

"She's smart and cold as well, I like her already," Lillith said as she sheathed her daggers.

"Well, she's yours. I already got mine," Aurea answered and looked at the wyvern roaring as it flew toward them. "This thing is so noisy," Aurea lit her sword with [Hellfire] and created a fireblast at the wyvern.

The blast was enough to cut the wyvern in half and melted it in just a matter of seconds.

Aurea and Lillith went straight to Moscow and they were welcomed by fighter jets and tanks. They were bombarded by all kinds of weapons that were too inhumane to be used. When they realized it didn't work on those two, a fighter jet flew in and dropped a nuclear weapon on those two.

Dimitri and his members watched the mushroom cloud forming from the distance. They were hoping that would be enough and hoped that those two would die from the radiation.

"You're good?" Aurea asked as she hugged Lillith from behind and protected her and herself with her wings.

"I'm good," Lillith answered.

They both didn't want to get naked from the blast, so they had to protect themselves. They both then unsheathed their weapons and bombarded the city with projectiles and attacks.

Nobody could survive those attacks, all the artilleries, the soldiers, and the fortress that they had prepared to hold the city were gone. Dimitri had expected it and knew he was hoping for nothing at all.

"We are being pushed from both sides, what are we going to do?" Kseniya asked Dimitri.

"What option do we have? We can only fight and we have nobody to help us since everyone is dealing with the same monsters as us," Dimitri answered as he looked at the sky. "We might be able to get away by going into the gate, but that would be the last option. We need to fight them," Dimitri added.

They couldn't disobey Dimitri's words because he was the leader, and he would punish those who ran away before him. They had no other option but to prepare for their deaths since they had heard what had happened in China.

"Let's give them hell," Dimitri said as he raised his hand and lightning struck his hand. An axe with a light blue color appeared in his hand, and then a golden apple fell into his other hand. "I won't let those two enter the city without my permission," Dimitri pointed out with a serious expression.

Everyone was waiting for Aurea and Lillith to come out of the thick smoke, but nobody came out. They started to wonder if those two died from the radiation, but they had no way to confirm that.

When the smoke and the mushroom cloud disappeared, they were surprised that they couldn't see those two anywhere. They didn't know if they should be happy that those two were gone or if they should be anxious if those two were somewhere in the city.

"Search the city! Don't let those two infiltrate our defenses!" Dimitri shouted.

After they looked for hours, they didn't find Aurea or Lillith anywhere in the city. They were sitting on the edge because knowing a calamity-like threat suddenly disappeared. They were too scared to close their eyes, and they started to become paranoid.

Aurea walked out of the bathroom with a towel on top of her head, she had nothing to cover her body after she took a cold bath. She then walked to the window to check the situation outside, and people were patrolling to find her and Lillith.

"To think we're not allowed to kill anymore is really boring," Lillith said as she brought two cups of coffee for herself and Aurea. "So we will be staying here until the time comes?" Lillith asked and offered the cup of coffee to Aurea.

"I guess so. We will stay here until Elena gives a new order," Aurea answered and sat on the sofa as she stared at the dead bodies of a family in front of her. "It has been a long day, so let's just sleep for the night," Aurea said and devoured the bodies with her [Lunacy] skill.

(In the Empyrean World)

Mykel came back and Sasha was still talking with Amaryllis and Hera because she had so many things she wanted to know about what happened inside the novel world. It had been days inside the novel world, and she hadn't even reached the middle of the whole story. She already knew most of the important things and what Mykel did back there.

"Welcome back," Sasha said as she looked at Mykel who came into the cabin with Beldathiel on his back.

"Still not done?" Mykel asked as he looked at Amaryllis.

"She already knew what you changed in the last few chapters. Right now she's listening to your whole story from the beginning when you entered the novel world," Amaryllis answered.

"Honestly, I'm glad that you changed the last few chapters. If you used mine, I don't think it would be that easy for you to fight Mara," Sasha pointed out as she watched Mykel carefully put Beldathiel on the bed.

"Yes. The fact that you made Mara so omnipotent that she revealed that she set everything up for Asmond since the beginning would make it hard for me to make a move," Mykel nodded his head in agreement. "The ending was bittersweet, and I don't like that. But even if I ended up using your script, I might do a different approach when I got transferred to this world. It wouldn't change the fact that I can make it all happen as long as I want it to happen," Mykel added.

"Now that we know how she wanted the ending of the novel would be, looking at it now, aren't you in the same position as Asmond, but in the real world?" Hera asked as she looked at Mykel.

Mykel was quiet about it and when he thought about it, Sasha's ending version was similar to the situation he was in.

"You might be right. Instead of kneeling and accepting my fate like Asmond who became a vessel for Mara and one of the cogs in a wheel, I'm fighting against it and challenging The Lord with everything I got," Mykel answered.
