Destroying My Own World

Chapter 219: Preparation.

Michael and the other Archangels watched Uriel come back to the garden with their suspicious gazes. Uriel ignored them because she only did what she was told by The Lord and she was as confused as the others. She still couldn't believe that Sasha was still given The Lord's compassion and kindness.

"That being, Mara. Who is she?" Michael asked as he blocked Uriel's path to the tree.

Uriel didn't say anything and just stared at Michael as she held Michael's hand. She showed him everything that she knew about Mara and what The Lord's order was which made Uriel feel uncomfortable for the first time. She then shared it with the other Archangels as well so they could understand what she felt about the situation.

"I'm still on your side, and there's something I want to request from all of you," Uriel said as she looked at each one of them.

They looked at Uriel with their eyebrows furrowed, but then they listened to her request. The moment she opened her mouth and said a name, they were furious, but Uriel told them the reason why.

"Asking for his help also counts as rebelling against The Lord's will!" Raphael glared at Uriel and couldn't believe Uriel's blasphemy request. "We're not going to listen to your words anymore, Uriel. We will pretend that we didn't hear anything," Raphael continued.

Uriel left because he didn't want to hear Uriel's request anymore, and he wasn't the only one who did the same. Everyone left the garden, but there was one who stayed behind, and it was Azrael who surprised Uriel.

"You can't ask The Lord such a thing and believe they will agree with your request," Azrael said with her face hidden under the hood. "Why him in particular? You can ask The Lord that we should be the one to handle that being," Azrael asked and she sounded intrigued.

"He knows more than anyone else in this whole universe. Sasha is taking advantage of The Lord's kindness and compassion, and don't forget that she's a threat because of what's inside her. We need to prevent another being to destroy the world, Azrael," Uriel explained as she looked at Azrael standing still like a statue with her pale gray skin.

"That's The Lord's will. If he wants it, it will happen. Why are you so afraid about it?" Azrael asked in a flat-toned voice.

Uriel was about to tell Azrael what she was concerned about, but then she remembered nobody knew about Mykel's power. She wanted to tell her, but her chest was so tight that it was hard for her to say it because deep down she didn't want anyone to know about it.

"I suggest you to calm yourself, Uriel. I have never seen you like this, and meet The Lord so he will guide you," Azrael suggested and so she spread her black wings and flew away.

Uriel looked up and she decided to meet The Lord herself and said what had been bothering her. The moment she arrived, Michael, Gabriel, Cassiel, Ramiel, Azrael, and Raphael came before The Lord, on their knees with a thousand and one Angels behind them. She was surprised to see so many of them, and she didn't want to get closer because she didn't want to disturb them.

"Come," An angel with a beautiful face touched Uriel's back. "The Lord has been waiting for you," The angel continued.

Uriel slowly walked the altar as the Angels were silently on their knees with their heads down. She walked past them until she stood right behind Michael and Gabriel who were still on their knees as well. She slowly bent her knees and lowered her head and wondered why The Lord wanted to see her.

Uriel listened to The Lord's voice and slowly she lifted her head to look at the light. She then lowered her head again as she nodded her head with understanding, and then both Michael, Gabriel, Cassiel, Ramiel, Raphael, and Azrael and all the Angels left, leaving Uriel alone.

"My Lord, I was created to follow your orders and obey your rules. I have sinned for having doubt inside my heart. My emotion is taking over me, and I wish for My Lord to erase it, make me stop doubting myself and My Lord's will," Uriel said as she slowly bowed her head down to the ground.

"I have spoken a blasphemy, and I deserve a punishment, perhaps the same punishment as what you gave to Lucifer," Uriel pointed out and she was serious about it.

Uriel didn't hear The Lord's voice, and when she thought The Lord had reconsidered her request, she felt a warmth on her back, stroking her. Tears started to fall and she felt underserving for such compassion, but when she thought The Lord was comforting her, he slowly helped her stand up.

She had never stood up with The Lord's help, and not only that, she was guided to his throne. She felt the warmth and the gentle touch in her hands as she walked up the stairs. She couldn't believe that The Lord was holding her hands, guiding her all the way up.

"My Lord?" Uriel asked as tears were still falling to her chin and was confused by the question that The Lord asked her. "What do I see? I see your greatness," Uriel answered as she looked at the heavens, the universe, and everything was visible from where she stood, even an ant hiding under the soil could be seen.

Uriel was confused again by the next question, and so she looked at the throne and The Lord who was sitting on it. She then looked at where she stood and realized by standing beside him, reminiscing of the time when she did everything for The Lord.

"I feel honored, My Lord. I wouldn't feel as happy as serving you by standing here," Uriel answered as she looked at the throne with a smile.

Suddenly her smile disappeared, and she looked terrified and scared at the same time. She immediately walked to the front of the throne and went down to her knees with her eyes trembling.

"My Lord? What do you mean my job here is done?" Uriel asked and she felt like the meaning of her existence had disappeared. "Is this the punishment for what I have done? If so, I will accept it," Uriel said as she started to calm herself down since she was prepared for all kinds of punishment.

After listening to The Lord's explanation, she raised her head to look at him with a confused look. She realized what he meant by that she was no longer needed next to him on the throne. She then understood why all the Archangels and the thousand and one Angels were gathered there earlier.

"My Lord, is it time for us to war against evil?" Uriel asked as she looked at The Lord.

Uriel was shocked when The Lord put his hand on top of her head and gently stroked her hair. She was blessed and in bliss, as she listened to his answer, and then she furrowed her eyebrows.

"I know that I'm not as strong as Michael and the others, but I'm stronger than the other Angels, My Lord. I can be helpful to them and I'm sure they will need me," Uriel pointed out after she heard that she wasn't going to join them in the war.

The Lord stood up and said something that shocked her to her core and realized he had prepared a task for her. Although she was given a different task by him, she didn't understand a single thing about her task. In the end, she could only accept the task because she had been asking questions to him too many times. She didn't want to question his decision anymore and left to do the task that he gave her.

When Uriel came back down to the garden, Michael and the others were there, discussing the plan. She landed right behind them and they all watched her walk toward them with a troubled expression.

"Who proposed the war against them?" Uriel asked as she looked at them.

"It was me because if we let them roam and do whatever they want for a little longer, the universe will bear the consequences, and all the living beings in it," Michael answered.

"I see. I hope you're prepared for everything, Michael," Uriel pointed out as she pulled the air and turned them into a cloak to cover her whole body and wings on her back.

"What do you mean by that? And where are you going?" Michael asked as he watched Uriel walk past them.

"The Lord has given me a different task. I won't be joining you, but I'm also going to join the war, a different kind of war," Uriel answered and then she walked to the edge and fell off.

Michael and the others watched as she went down and went straight to Earth. They wondered what kind of task The Lord had given her, but she looked determined and worried at the same time.

(On Earth, England, Redshield's territory)

Lucifer was talking with the Princes of Hell, but then he stopped and looked out the window. He immediately stood up and went outside as the other Princes of Hell followed him from behind because they could feel it as well.

"Long time no see, Lucifer," A woman said and slowly pulled her hood and showed her face.

"Who would have thought that you would come to see me here in a flash, Uriel," Lucifer with a smile.
