Destroying My Own World

Chapter 220: A great schemer.

Uriel was standing in front of the presence of her former friends and colleagues. The last time she met them was during the rebellion, and that was thousands of years ago. She wasn't scared of them, and even so, she couldn't win against a single one of them since she wasn't like Michael or the others who possessed powerful physicals.

"So, what he has come to offer to send you down here on your own?" Lucifer asked as he rested his cheek on his left fist. "I never thought he would be this desperate to ask for help," Lucifer smirked as he stared at Uriel.

"You can speak disrespectfully at me, and you can say anything you want..." Uriel paused as the whole room started to get hot all of them started sweating. "But when you speak ill of him, I don't care if I will die here, and I will melt that mouth of yours," Uriel continued and the windows started to shatter into pieces and melt.

"I'm just asking a question, and I know you're as confused as I am right now on why he sent you down here to see me. So? Am I wrong?" Lucifer asked as he spread his arms and eyebrows furrowed. "I apologize for offending you since you're the only one who still cares about me, about all of us. So I will mind my manners," Lucifer said with a serious expression and then lowered his head at Uriel which surprised the other Princes of Hell.

Uriel could see Lucifer's sincerity, and even if he was faking it, bowing his head was a bit too much. After all, Lucifer was a prideful being that he wouldn't lower his head to anyone, not even to The Lord. So, that was enough for Uriel to forgive him for what he said earlier.

"Now that the problem has been resolved, could you please stop destroying my property? We haven't even fixed the mess outside, now you're adding a new one," Lucifer asked with his eyebrows raised.

Uriel noticed that and wondered what had happened because she couldn't see what actually happened there. She could tell it was quite a mess, and she wondered if someone came to fight Lucifer, but the damage wasn't that bad compared to the fight with Mykel.

"What actually happened to this place?" Uriel asked.

"Nal and Mykel came to see me. That was really something. Expected the unexpected, I guess," Lucifer answered as he scoffed.

Uriel didn't know that Mykel and Nal came to meet Lucifer because of the barrier that Lucifer made with the help of the system. She realized that Mykel wasn't the only one who could hide anything from her and the others. Lucifer also had a system that could help him since it was made by him in the first place.

"What brings you here, Uriel? I believe you're not here to convince me to go back, are you?" Lucifer asked with his eyebrows furrowed. "I have no interest in coming back, I don't care about the Kingdom of his anymore. I have found my place and soon that place will be destroyed by my hands," Lucifer pointed out.

Uriel removed the cloak and immediately all the Princes of Hell became on guard the moment Uriel pulled out something from her chest. When Uriel slammed the object on the table, all of them were shocked, even Lucifer was in disbelief when he saw it.

"The World Egg..." Belphegor was shocked and looked at the same World Egg that created Mara.

"What's the meaning of this, Uriel?" Lucifer asked and he sounded furious. He put his right hand on the table and shredded it into pieces with his fingers. "Are you trying to mock me? Is The Lord think I need that thing that badly that he sent you here to bring that to me?" Lucifer glared at Uriel and started to crack his knuckles by clenching his hand.

"Is that how you interpreted it? Is he thinking lowly of you? Has he ever done that to any of his creations?" Uriel asked back even though she was scared when she saw the wings behind Lucifer's back start to come out.
Stay connected through empire

"No, but he's a great schemer. I don't believe that everything he did for me is genuine," Lucifer answered as he tried to not be consumed by his anger. "I remembered the day how I lost the war, and I won't make the same mistake twice," Lucifer added.

"Your pride always makes you blind, Lucifer. The Lord is a great schemer, not a great deceiver. You're a great deceiver, and even if The Lord has a plan under his sleeve, no matter how hard you try to fight him, you won't be able to defeat him," Uriel answered. "The Lord sent me here because he gave you a chance, he challenged you and he will let you do whatever you want. This is the proof," Uriel explained as she looked at the World Egg that she held on the table.

"The Lord is challenging me?" Lucifer asked with a huge smirk. "I see... so he has sent his precious army of heaven," Lucifer said as he looked up and he could sense the presence of the angels even though they were still up beyond heaven.

"The Lord has shown you his plan, he will send all the Archangels and the thousand and one Angels down. Not only that, you should have known about Mara because all the Primordial and Cosmical beings are wary of her presence," Uriel pointed out as she looked at every one of them. "It was under The Lord's will that he helped Sasha and brought that being here into this world. If you lose to her, The Lord will be disappointed, and so he's offering you this," Uriel added and rolled the World Egg to Lucifer's side.

Lucifer slowly reached for the World Egg and grabbed it without hesitation. He never thought he would possess the only object that could match with The Lord's power of creation. He looked at it and thousands of paths were opened inside his head, and he could achieve more than what he had planned. He could bring back Asmodeus who died in Elena's hand, and he could use it on Anzel and the others. He could create something as powerful as himself and with the system in his hand, he could achieve the impossible.

"If that's what he wants, then I'll gladly accept it," Lucifer said as he stared into Uriel's eyes.

"My job here is done. I hope we don't see each other again, Lucifer," Uriel said as she put on the cloak and hid her face. "Enjoy it while it lasts," Uriel continued and then left.

Sasha came back with Mara walking beside her, and Mara casually showed her presence to the Gods. She was shrouded by the same Void Clouds around her and left a trail that would be enough to kill anyone who touched or inhaled it.

Sasha glanced at Mara oftentimes and wondered if Mara would do something behind her back or not. Compared to Mara, she was nothing in terms of power, but she had something that could prevent Mara from going astray. That trick could only be used once, and that would affect her as well, and she didn't want to use it for as long as she could.

"Are we going to hide for now? Or should we go into seclusion until the time comes? But I don't see a reason to hide anymore because everyone here can feel my presence," Mara asked as she looked at the emptiness around her.

"We're not going into seclusion. We will welcome anyone who comes to us and give them what they want," Sasha answered as she looked at the realm of God above the clouds.

"I'm not interested in those beings. I want Mykel Alester," Mara said and stared at Sasha. "As long as he's alive, I won't be able to close my eyes at ease," Mara pointed out.

"If you want Mykel's head, you're going to face those who might help him. With just you alone, you won't be able to get what you want," Uriel said.

Sasha and Mara turned around and saw Uriel landing behind them, and she looked at them with a serious expression.

"Why are you here?" Sasha asked and looked at Uriel with suspicion.

"I came to help, under The Lord's order," Uriel answered.
