Devastating The Murim with My Little Sister

P.O.V - David.

I sit there stunned as I hear the children give serious valid reasons.

Their heads bowed to the ground awaiting my response.

I expected them to have nothing to say, to not be able to reply me...

But their reasons and points were not just valid, they were also touching as well...

How the hell am I supposed to say no now?

"Umm... I can't..."

Before I could finish they all yell out in unity cutting me short.

"Please big brother Yeong!"

I was puzzled.

What am I supposed to do now.

I heave a sigh.

"Ok ok, rise up now please."

They didn't raise their heads at my request, they remained kowtowing.

"Would you teach us big brother?"

They were not going to rise until I gave them an answer, and they needed a satisfactory answer.

I heave another sigh, this one longer than the last.

"Fine, I'll teach you all a thing or two."

Immediately, they slowly began raising their heads as smiles crept up their cute little faces.

They began wiping their tears as they rushed to hug me.

Their warmth, I felt... whole... but I wasn't sure if I was making the right decision.

I let the children rest and I decide to step out to hunt something we could all eat.

I also needed some air, to think of what kind of Martial Arts I could possibly teach them.

As dusk approaches I step out of the cave, the weakened rays of the sun hitting my face through the gaps in the trees.

Over dried leaves, I walk some distance, away from the cave, trying to get towards the edge the mother bears territory, somewhere I could get a good hunt.

I didn't mean to completely step out of her territory as I could get some good hunts around the extremes of her territory, but lost in thoughts, I kept walking and walking until I was far out of her territory.

The faint rustle of the bushes within the chilling silence brought me back to earth as darkness fell.

It was like I had just woken up from a trance.

I had been so deep in thoughts thinking about what to teach the children I forgot myself.

'Where the fuck have I wandered into?' I thought to myself.

* Rustle Rustle *

The bushes beside begin to shake more vigorously as if something was moving through it.

Immediately, I pull out a dagger and get into stance, ready to block anything that was coming.

It seemed like they had encircled me as i could now hear movements in all the bushes around me.

But it didn't feel like many, whatever it was, it felt like I was being encircled by one creature.

'How the hell did I get myself in this situation.'

Only a faint trace of the sun rays remained as everywhere gradually darkens.

'Run!' A thought popped up in my head.

That is probably a wise thing to do, I do not know what I'm about to face and even though I've been encircled, I could just push my way through one direction.

Without retracting my dagger, I try to dash through the direction I had come.

I take off but as soon as I do, the head of a beast suddenly pops up in my face with its mouth wide open revealing it's sharp fangs.

Barely, I manage to dodge to my right as I crash to the ground.

Sitting on my ass trying to get up, I was now able to get a proper look at the monster as it slowly turns towards me.

It's horn, single and curved forward from the centre of its head.

Rough dark scales which covered its entire body.

Though, the scales on its belly were smooth and lighter.

Its body, two times wider than mine, it's length, that I could not say as even as it was before me, most of its body were still in the bushes.

Standing on its belly it trippled my height in an instant.

I knew this beast, it was the horned viper, a snake Spiritual Beast usually at the level nine.

Seeing as it has only one horn, it seems it indeed is a level nine Spiritual Beast.

If it had a little bump on its head rather than a long horn, it would be a Level eight Spiritual Beast, and if it had two horns, rather than one, it would be a Level ten Spiritual Beast.

As I rise to my feet I heave a sigh of relief, it would be a little tough, but it's doable.

'Afterall, it's not a level ten.'

Yh, that was what I thought, and indeed, it wasn't a level ten, but then, I suddenly feel a chilling presence behind me.

My instincts screaming at me to Run.

Slowly, I turn to see what is behind me.

A towering dark single figure, three times wider than me.

Looking up I could not even see its head properly, all I could see was the under of its jaw.

Walking backwards so I could properly see what was before me my eyes widened.

Even in the darkness, there was one distinct thing I could not miss... Two Horns.

'Fuck!' I echoe in my mind.

Ok, now this is bad.

Why the fuck are there two apex predators in the same territory.

Because they are of the same species?

No, one is obviously stronger than the other, so co habitation should not be possible... except...

Looking around, my eyes search for something in the incomplete darkness.

Barely hidden amongst the bush, I saw it, the two cloacas of the two beasts locked together.

They are both each of opposite genders and one came to find a mate.

'Fuck! I just had to wander and interrupt their good time.' I say to myself as I smack my face.

*Snarls*

The double horned snake looks really angry, well if course it is, it finally found a mate and I come to spoil their fun, if I was the one I'd probably be more angry.

I slowly begin moving sideways away from them with my hands raised up.

Their eyes follow me as I move.

"Hey, hey, ummm I didn't mean to interrupt on anything, I didn't know you were, you know... busy... So ummm, how about I just take my leave huh?"

I was almost out enough for me to make a run for it when the double horned viper strikes at me.

Quickly, as fast as I could I block it's attack as it's horns hit my dagger, the force of the impact pushes me some distance away as my feet till through the soil.

Pushing its head to the side I turn and land a heavy kick to its head.

The hit moves its head away but it soon slowly turns back to look at me as if mocking my effort.

It rises high again, the one horned viper was now behind me again.

Standing tall on their belly they both stare down from above at I who was now in their centre.
