Digital Emperor (Naruto X Digimon)

Chapter 84: Chapter 84

The battle had begun in earnest. Without hesitation, the Digi-Destined launched their offensive, unleashing the carefully prepared strategies they had worked so hard to perfect. The energy in the air crackled with tension as their cards shimmered and their Digimon sprang into action.

First, the Holy Trio acted, pulling out their cards in unison and slashing them through the air with precise movements.

"Symphony of the Just!" they exclaimed, the words ringing clear and sharp as the cards activated. A soft, serene melody filled the battlefield as the light from Angemon, Meicoomon, and Gatomon bathed the area in a calming glow. But this light was not just a visual display—it carried power. The harmony it created boosted their team's strength and subtly weakened Naruto's Digimon. The air was now thick with both power and tranquility, making every move feel like it was made in slow motion.

Naruto's Digimon, standing across the mountainous terrain, felt the effect immediately, though they didn't show it. Asura, standing tall and proud, absorbed the change but maintained his composure. He wasn't easily shaken. But even he couldn't deny the aura of power that hung over the enemy team now. They were well-prepared.

Before Naruto could make his move, the Digi-Destined were already executing their next set of cards.

"Boost Agility!" shouted Takeru and Davis, their hands slicing through the air with swift motions. This card was one they had all come to rely on, boosting their Digimons' speed to a new level. The air around Veedramon, Aquilamon, and Ankylomon shimmered with the extra burst of speed, making their already quick movements almost impossible to track. It was clear that the Digi-Destined had come prepared, knowing they needed to outpace Naruto's powerful team.

"Aura of Darkness!" Ken's voice cut through the chaos, his card glowing a deep, ominous black as it activated. Stingmon, his partner, responded by unleashing a wave of darkness from his antennas, blanketing the battlefield in a suffocating pressure. The dark aura caused a mental strain on Naruto's Digimon, causing confusion and anxiety. It was a carefully orchestrated move designed to disrupt their focus, and it was effective—at least for a moment.

And then, with a flourish, Davis stepped forward with his card raised high. "Dragon Force!" he declared, a fiery glint in his eyes. Veedramon roared, the sound reverberating across the mountains as its power surged. The mighty aura of a dragon spread through the battlefield, further boosting its own strength while dampening the momentum of its enemies. The winds picked up, whipping through the air with an intensity that matched the power now coursing through Veedramon's veins.

With their buffs and debuffs in place, the Digi-Destined launched their Great Tornado. Aquilamon and Angemon, their wings now enhanced by their tamers' cards, flew into the sky and flapped their wings with such force that the air around them swirled and grew violent. A massive tornado formed, churning with raw, elemental power as it spiraled across the battlefield. Naruto's Digimon stood on the opposite peak of the mountain range, and the full force of the Great Tornado slammed into them with devastating power. The wind was so fierce, the debris so overwhelming, that it felt as if the very mountain itself might be ripped apart.

For a moment, it seemed as if Metal Meramon and Sealsdramon would be swallowed by the storm, but they held their ground, their forms barely visible against the chaotic winds. As the tornado began to dissipate, the damage was clear. Naruto's Digimon had been affected, but they were still standing. However, the Digi-Destined were far from finished.

Ken, undeterred by the initial defense, slashed another card. "Plasma Laser!" His Stingmon activated its moon shooters, powerful energy cannons attached to its body, and unleashed a laser beam of intense energy. The light cut through the battlefield like a knife, slicing through the mountain air with precision. The attack was swift, aimed directly at Rambo and Asura, who were beginning to counterattack.

Davis, not to be outdone, raised his own card. "Dragon's Breath!" Veedramon opened its mouth wide and unleashed a blazing breath attack, the air around it igniting with the intensity of the blast. The flame spiraled outward, crashing into the mountainside with an explosive force, sending debris flying.

Meanwhile, Gatomon and Meicoomon had teamed up to bring down heavenly lightning, and Ankylomon charged up a Gravity Crush, using its mighty legs to stomp the ground and send a powerful shockwave through the earth. The coordinated attacks were nearly too much for Naruto's Digimon to handle. It felt like an onslaught from every direction, each attack timed perfectly with the others, making it impossible for anyone to avoid the barrage.

Asura stood tall, its Energy Barrier shimmering with a brilliant blue light. The intense onslaught of attacks—Plasma Laser, Dragon's Breath, and the Great Tornado—had slammed against the protective shield, but none of them had even scratched the surface of its impenetrable surface. Asura's power radiated, its stoic expression unwavering as the storm of attacks passed over it. Naruto's Digimon were still standing, protected from the worst of the barrage by the stalwart defender.

Meanwhile, Rambo wasted no time. He gritted his teeth, pulling his upgraded anti-champion rifle from its holster. The weapon hummed with energy, its advanced technology pulsing as he focused all of his power into it. With a steady hand, he took aim at the incoming foes. This was no ordinary sniper rifle—it was designed specifically to deal with high-tier Champion Digimon. Even Ultimate-level Digimon would feel its sting, and he was more than capable of withstanding their retaliation.

Rambo's mind raced. If it came down to him alone, he might be able to take down one, maybe two of their Digimon, but the odds were stacking up. His foes weren't ordinary either. Stingmon, Veedramon, and their partners were equipped with powerful cards and top-tier gear of their own. The tide of the battle was shifting, and Rambo's attacks, though powerful, were beginning to lose their edge.

As the battle raged on, the Digi-Destined's strategies and buffs started to take their toll. The debuffs from Ken's Aura of Darkness and Davis's Dragon Force had already slowed down Rambo's precision, and the increased speed of the enemy's Digimon made dodging his shots easier. His rifle, which once would have been enough to down any of their Champion Digimon, was no longer as effective against this well-coordinated team. Every shot he took seemed to be avoided with ease as Veedramon and Stingmon darted across the battlefield, their agility enhanced beyond normal levels.

Naruto, watching from the sidelines, felt a surge of pride. His team was holding their ground, but he could sense the growing frustration. His Digimon weren't quite matching the speed and power of the Digi-Destined, and the battlefield was tipping in their favor. Yet, the Digi-Destined had underestimated the full depth of Naruto's resources, and that would soon become clear.

"I see," Naruto said, his voice calm and even as he watched the battle unfold. "You have a reason to show such confidence. I am really proud of you guys." His gaze shifted across the battlefield, a mixture of admiration and a tinge of challenge in his eyes. "Though, you cannot win this battle. However, I will play along for now."

Naruto's words cut through the noise of the ongoing conflict. The Digi-Destined's attacks paused for a brief moment as they heard his voice—a statement filled with confidence, yet with an edge of playful competitiveness. The look in his eyes shifted, and without warning, he reached for his own cards.

His fingers slid through the cards, each one glowing faintly with their power as he prepared to play his hand. The Digi-Destined knew that the tide of the battle could shift at any moment, but they hadn't yet realized the full potential of Naruto's hand.

As the battlefield surged with energy, the Digi-Destined pushed forward with everything they had. But Naruto wasn't about to let them have an easy victory. He reached for his card, a move that would shift the balance of the battle: the Aura of the Overlord.

It was a move exclusive to Mega-level Digimon, the kind of aura seen in the most powerful creatures, like the Royal Knights and other legendary beings. This card, however, was not meant for any regular tamer to wield. It required a bond that transcended the ordinary—a deep connection between tamer and Digimon, a shared understanding of power that could only be attained through countless battles. Naruto and Asura were unique, their bond strengthened by the fierce battles they had already fought together. After their last battle, Naruto's presence and power had fused into Asura, giving him the strength to unleash the Aura of the Overlord.

The instant Asura activated the card, the battlefield seemed to tremble. A wave of immense pressure spread across the area, washing over the Digi-Destined and their Digimon. It was so overwhelming that the enemies felt their knees buckling beneath them. The very air seemed thick with a weight that sapped their strength. Their energy and stats plummeted drastically, as though the world itself conspired against them. Even Angemon, Gatomon, and Meicoomon—the stalwart trio—felt the oppressive force bearing down on them.

The other side staggered, but they refused to falter. The Digi-Destined were seasoned warriors, quick to recover from the shock. They had come prepared, and their next move came swiftly.

Mugen Cannon—the powerful move unleashed from Mugendramon's back cannons. This attack was a Mega-level Digimon's devastating weapon, capable of obliterating entire continents with its might. But this time, Rambo had upgraded his arsenal. Using the drones from his pack, he formed the cannon's shape and aimed it at the mountain peak. The resulting laser blast shot through the sky like a comet, obliterating the Digi-Destined's mountain stronghold.

Despite the overwhelming force of the attack, the team's quick thinking and enhanced agility saved them. Ankylomon, ever the strategist, cracked the earth beneath them, causing the ground to break apart and create an opening. With precision, the team escaped, soaring into the dense forest below, narrowly avoiding the catastrophic aftermath of Rambo's Mugen Cannon.

But Asura was relentless. The Mega Digimon unleashed a nuclear laser from his palms, a devastating move meant to wipe the team off the map. Yet, despite the immense pressure, the Digi-Destined's speed and agility were unmatched. They darted out of the attack's range, dodging it with calculated precision, but they couldn't escape the next wave. Asura, sensing their retreat, sent out flame clones from his body—Meramon-like entities that burst into the form of dragons, racing through the air in pursuit of their prey.

Though Asura had the upper hand in raw energy, there was a challenge in mastering his new form. The immense power coursing through him was difficult to control, and his body, heavy with untamed energy, slowed his movements. He was fast, but not fast enough to keep up with his opponents' enhanced speed. The chakra enhancements were still too foreign to him, the full use of his potential just out of reach.

That's where Rambo came in. With a steady presence, Rambo acted as a counterbalance to Asura's instability. By splitting the burden, he allowed Asura to tap into his full power, working together in perfect harmony to unleash devastation upon the enemy.

Naruto, seeing the opportunity to push his team even further, drew another card—Hymn of Victory. "Go wild, no need to hold back," he commanded, his voice steady and full of resolve.

At Naruto's words, a fierce wave of energy surged through Asura. Gone was the restraint; he no longer cared about limiting damage to the terrain. Asura began raining fireballs down from the sky, each one exploding upon impact with the forest below. The rain of destruction was so vast that it seemed the whole forest was being scorched in a fiery storm. Rambo, too, fired relentlessly from his Gatling gun, a constant barrage of bullets and lasers that swept across the battlefield like a storm.

The team below had barely a moment to react. But they were ready. Ankylomon, Gatomon, Meicoomon, and Aquilamon weren't about to be outdone. In an instant, they transformed into their humanoid forms, their combat abilities and stats boosted to a new level.

Ken, ever the strategist, played his hand. He used the dark power card on Stingmon, and with a flash, the Radiation Blade was in play. The dark energy surged around Stingmon, making him a more dangerous foe than ever.

Davis followed suit, slashing his card and summoning the Dragon Rage for Veedramon, unleashing an aura that transformed the dragon into an unstoppable force. Meanwhile, Angemon spread his wings wide, and Kari's Power of Lightning coursed through Gatomon, enveloping her in a glowing storm of power. The Power of Earth surged through Ankylomon, making his attacks even more devastating, while Aquilamon received the Power of Fire to intensify his offensive.

With all these boosts, the Digi-Destined's team was operating at a level that was nearly beyond belief. Gatomon, now empowered with lightning and speed, darted through the air with a fluid grace, dodging the fireballs and destruction with ease. She had become a blur of speed, every movement timed to perfection.

With a sudden movement, Gatomon lashed out with her claws—Thunder Claw. The metal claws, now crackling with lightning, ripped through the air as she attacked Asura's Energy Barrier, the crackling power of her strikes vibrating through the air. It was a relentless barrage that saw Gatomon attacking and evading in a dance of speed and power, her energy and agility a sight to behold.

But Asura was no easy foe. Even with the barrage of attacks, the Energy Barrier held firm. The battle was far from over, and the Digi-Destined knew they had to keep pushing, keep adapting, if they were to stand any chance against the overwhelming power of Naruto's team.

The battle raged on, the clash of powers shaking the very earth beneath their feet. Stingmon and Aquilamon soared through the sky, their aerial assault relentless. Arrows and energy bolts rained down from their positions high above, each attack cutting through the air with pinpoint precision, aimed at the enemies below. The team had never been more united, every member working together seamlessly, pushing the limits of their abilities.

Meanwhile, Ankylomon remained on the ground, his massive form shaking the terrain with each step. He controlled the earth beneath the enemy's feet, manipulating it to create sudden earth spikes that shot upward, distracting and pinning the foes in place. The ground itself became a weapon, shifting and contorting at Ankylomon's command, making it difficult for the enemy to maintain their footing.

Angemon hovered above the chaos, his wings glowing with divine light. He unleashed powerful light beams, their blinding intensity cutting through the smoke and debris of the battlefield. With each beam, he not only damaged the enemy but also provided much-needed support for his team. Healing light bathed his companions, easing their injuries, while his buffs kept them stronger and more resilient in the face of overwhelming odds.

Down below, Veedramon, fueled by the Dragon Rage card, was a force of pure destruction. His body crackled with rage, and with every shot he fired, a beam of energy burst from his maw, striking from below with incredible force. His assault was continuous, never giving the enemy a chance to recover, his fury unrelenting.

But it was Meicoomon who had become the true trump card of the team. This Digimon, while small, was not to be underestimated. With the data of Apocalymon embedded in her very being, she possessed the power to erase existence itself—an ability so dangerous, so destructive, that it could challenge even the mightiest of barriers. Seeing the enemy distracted, Meicoomon sped toward them with terrifying speed. She opened her mouth, and a dark bolt of destruction shot out, its power palpable in the air.

The bolt of destruction collided with Asura's Energy Barrier, and in an instant, the powerful force was shattered, breaking apart like fragile glass. For a moment, the team thought they had achieved victory. The barrier was down, and victory was within their grasp. But Asura, ever the relentless foe, reacted with lightning speed.

Before anyone could strike, Asura released a powerful flame burst, engulfing the entire region in a blinding inferno. The flames spread rapidly, scorching everything in their path. The force was so great that even the Digi-Destined were forced to retreat, their hopes dashed as they fell back to avoid the overwhelming heat and destruction.

Meicoomon's bolt had been the last chance, the final moment they had to break through. But now, the enemy's power was once again too great. Asura had already regained control, and the team's chance at victory slipped through their fingers. As the flames roared around them, the Digi-Destined's determination remained, but even they knew that the battle had taken a turn for the worse.

Naruto, ever calm amidst the chaos, surveyed the field with a measured gaze. He had seen it, the true potential of his enemies. The realization dawned on him that they were not just strong—they were adaptable, resourceful, and dangerous. They had discovered their win condition, the key to defeating him. But despite their strength, he wasn't about to let them take victory so easily.

"I see that I was wrong about you guys," Naruto muttered to himself, a rare moment of acknowledgment for the enemy's strength. "You definitely have a win condition. Alas, I will have to disappoint you."

With a wave of his hand, he spoke with commanding authority. "Come, Darkdramon!"

The words echoed through the stadium, and the crowd erupted in gasps and shouts of disbelief. Darkdramon had arrived, and with his presence, the battle was about to take a dark turn.

From the shadows, the beast of destruction appeared, its form massive and menacing. Asura and Rambo's powers had combined, forming Darkdramon—a terrifying fusion of strength, speed, and raw power. The battlefield seemed to quake under its sheer presence as it emerged, a harbinger of destruction that signaled the end of the battle.

The immense aura surrounding Darkdramon spread across the field, and its mere presence seemed to shift the very fabric of reality. The mountain itself trembled, cracking and splintering beneath the force of its energy. The aura was suffocating, a pressure that made the air heavy, making it difficult to breathe.
